ParticipantI’m just going to assume that even though the apprentice said “once the spell is enacted it can never be reversed”, the spell will be reversed.
I also assume that since Maleficent told Snow that Snow’s baby had potential for great darkness, the reverse could be true for Maleficent’s baby?
and, I also thought that thing was an egg. A very large scaly egg. Bad Snow.

ParticipantI hope whoever opens it does so with good intentions. I’d hate for the door to open for someone who opens it for selfish reasons.
But, I hope it’s not tied to something like “only the person with the heart of the truest..whatever..can open the author’s door.”
It better be meaningful when it’s opened.

ParticipantI know how to access the door. One of the characters just needs to blow on the page, and the door will float off the page and form a real door. “The spells are in the book.”
Yep. That’s because it’s written in squid ink. Or something.
One big giant pop-up book. Pick your story, blow on the door, enter at your own risk. Plus, if a dwarf dies, is he really dead? Cuz, Stealthy.

ParticipantWhen I first saw that illustration of Regina’s happy ending (meeting Robin) was taken out if the book, my first thought was that that sounded like something Cora would do. She would never want her daughter to fall in love with Robin.
At one point I also speculated that both Pinocchio and the book’s paper might have been made from the same enchanted tree and somehow there’s a connection. I don’t think that anymore. I think he just wants to become fully human.
I thought it was really compelling that Rumple used those drops to control August in slightly the same way Zelena used the dagger to control Rumple. To me this gave insight into why Rumple seemed so vicious in that scene. Plus, Rumple’s happy ending is fading fast and he’s become desperate.

ParticipantCruelly can magically mind control living animals and insects as well as her car. I wonder if she can control humans. She’s alone with August. I wonder if she can read or control his thoughts.
She’s stunning, by the way.March 16, 2015 at 2:04 am in reply to: FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS … 4 X 14 ENTER THE DRAGON #298704Cinders
ParticipantI must be in the minority, because I didn’t mind David Bowie Maleficent. I thought she was gorgeous. It’s the Dick Tracy look on Storybrooke Maleficent that I dislike. Whatever, now we know how Regina met Maleficent..hmmmm.. I’m kinda not sure I really care? It seemed link the writers were trying to tell us the most abridged Maleficent/Aurora story ever written.
The train thing was ridiculous. Unless it’s the Polar Express, the Orange Blossom Special, or the Hogwarts Express, there are no trains in Storybrooke, PERIOD. They can’t cross the line.
I didn’t get the “bad girl” test with Regina taking a shot and crushing the glass. That proves, what? They need to conduct more conclusive villain screening procedures, cuz every gal in the local bar woulda passed that test.
What I did love, and I’m looking foreword to exploring is.. How far is too far regarding Regina pretending to be evil for the greater good? Seriously, Snow lies to Emma and everyone bashes her. But Regina can kidnap a kid and it’s ok.
Is kidnapping a child evil? Even if it’s being done for the greater good? Or, is it a selfish act for Regina, being done in part for Her own greater good and happy ending. Why is it ok for Regina to take Gepetto’s happiness (Pinocchio)? I get it that the Charmings asked her to infiltrate the villains. But how much is too much? Where’s the line between a noble act of infiltrating the villains and actually becoming one again?
I really loved how they introduced that sweet scene between Regina and Gepetto last week which made it more meaningful and heartbreaking when Regina had to betray that apology this week.
Lana is doing a fabulous job of switching between the two characters of Regina. She can go from hero to villain with the raise of an eyebrow or the ever so slight smirk behind a smile, and it’s wonderful to watch.

ParticipantSo, that hand to the heart oath….was that a mutual promise? Or, was that a Spell Rumple places on Belle? Could she break the oath if she chose to? Would she, if she needed to?
Sorry, but that handing over the dagger scene with Hook and Belle, even if it had truly been the real Hook. My brain just screamed! Belle! Foolish Belle! What are you doing! I know they’ve given her brief bursts of strength, but they lead nowhere. Over and over and again they portray her as foolish, vulnerable, love sick, and weak minded, in my opinion. Who is this woman?
And why is she with Will? I REALLY LOVE Will, but I’m not looking foreword to their story. I don’t want him to “save” Belle. I definitely don’t want him to be the victim of Rumple’s vengeance. Belle and Will have the potential to be cute together but I’ve temporarily given up on happy endings. Belle should have had a happy ending if she’s a hero. But she certainly hasn’t been given one.
I think Rumple is hurt by Belle moving on, but it’s clear that he’s more in love with power than he is with Belle. He chose power over Belle ages ago.Cinders
ParticipantAs we learned from Rumple earlier this season, magic never dies. It simply takes on another form.
We’ve also learned, from experience, that “dead is dead” pertains to non magical beings, ie, Grahm, Neal, Johanna etc.
We’ve seen many non magical beings revived. Rumple, Maleficent, Pinocchio, Blue.
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if Cora was magically revived.
Cora being the Queen of hearts could have the answer to how and why Emma ended up with the heart containing the most potential for darkness. Was Emma born with a dark heart? Or was she given that heart? Haven’t we heard from our storytellers that evil isn’t born, it’s made.
Which brings me to the question.. Why are some peoples’ traits described by the specific word “heart”? As in the “heart” of the truest believer. This has always sounded odd to me, as if someone was once the truest believer, and someone put that persons heart into Henry.
More importantly, Chernabog was looking for a specific heart. Was Emma born with that heart? Wouldnt Chernabog have been searching for that same heart before he was trapped in that hat?
Who controls the hearts? And has hundreds in her vault? Cora.
Hope she comes back in the present. As always, I’m confused.Cinders
ParticipantI’m exhausted from this finale.
I feel like they ran my brains and emotions through a blender.
I’ve lost track of who’s good and who’s bad.
What a twisted chain of murders.Cinders
ParticipantDoesn’t sound like Rumple’s anywhere near ready to reconcile with Belle.
His prophecy about corrupting the savior sounds pretty ominous.
So, this half season is about 1.) corrupting the savior, and 2.) finding the soul of someone who’s ready to cross over to the dark side so all the other evil villains can have happy endings?
Cross over to the dark side Lily. Maybe that prophecy was partly about Lily and that’s why she was marked and taken to our land?
