I’m curious to see Belle’s interactions with her fellow neighbors as well. I love her relationship with Rumpel, but I’m anxious to see her interact with people outside of him. I read the spoilers concerning her scenes with Red, and it sounds very promising. I hope Belle and Red become friends. I always thought that they would make one hell of a dynamic duo. π
[adrotate group="5"]cherishParticipantI’m not too worried about Emma’s absence from this episode. I think Jennifer Morrison tweeted that this episode has been her favorite so far. Which is odd considering she’s not even in this one. π I think Jane Espenson called this episode her favorite as well. So, even though Emma will be MIA this episode, I don’t think it will take anything away from the story. Especially given the fact this episode is going to focus on a fan favorite. Iβm ok with Emma and Snow being absent from an episode as long as they focus on another important character or a character that fans really like. So, if it focuses on Rumpel, Regina, Charming or Red, then Iβll be too content with the material to complain about Emmaβs absence. But if it were to focus on someone smaller like Sydney or Archie, I think Iβd feel a little let down. Not that they arenβt awesome characters as well, but theyβre too far removed from the main plot to have an episode all to themselves without any Snow or Emma.

^Yeah, once he became the Dartk One. You seem to think that he was evil before he became the Dark One. The show, the writers and the producers have made the point that he wasn’t. But you still seem to think that he was always evil, and that the curse isn’t effecting him. Even though it has been stated numerous times on the show and by the writers and producers that the curse is what’s making him evil.
But whatevz.
Yeah, I agree. I’m surprised this is even up for debate. I thought it was made explicitly clear that Rumpel used to be a good man, but the curse started eating away at his soul. That’s why Belle and Baelfire kept trying to break his curse. They new he was good man before he became the Dark One, and they wanted to bring that back. But it’s all just opinion. I guess it’s all a matter of whether you like the character or not.
Anyhoo, yeah Rumpel is probably the crocodile in this story. But I thought using the medalion would have been an interesting way for Rumpel to get revenge on Hook for seducing his wife.
cherishParticipant@hjbau Wow. I can’t begin to tell you how much I disagree with you. But that’s not why I’m here!
Here’s an interesting theory about Captain Hook’s hand.

Don’t get me wrong-I WANT this new guy to be Baelfire. I REALLY want him to be, but I have a feeling the writers are gonna toy with us again like they did with August. We know if he’s getting a card from SB then he must definitely be connected to someone there.
I feel your pain. I hope the writers don’t wait all season. The first half of the season, fine. But all season? Please no.

LOL! I did the exact same thing. I actually downloaded the episode to watch this morning, and when I saw the opening scene I was like, “drats, I downloaded the wrong thing!” But then finally some names started popping up π
π I know, it was a pleasant surprise. I loved how the show did that. It was such a change of scenery.
In regards to him being Baelfire, I never would have expected him to be New York. I always expected him to be in Pheonix (Baelfire = Fire = Pheonix rising from the ashes). I know, it’s a stretch, but it sounded plausible at the time.
cherishParticipantI hope Regina didn’t kill her mother. That would be sad. π And I agree, Cora was incredibly abusive, but family is family. Absused children tend to have a odd attachment to their abusive parents. Sad, but true. π
But then again, she did kill her father, so it’s anyone’s guess. π
cherishParticipantDr. Whale being a prince or some sort of ruler would be a great twist. I know him being the Wizard of Oz is a popular theory. So, maybe that’s who he is. Maybe he has a hard time bowing down to another king when he himself is a king.
cherishParticipantI think magic works differently in this world. Rumpel remained human, Ruby isn’t a wolf and Archie isn’t a cricket. So, I guess this world doesn’t work like the old one. Which is a good thing and a bad thing. On the up side, it will be difficult to use magic. And on the down side, it will be difficult to use magic. Catch 22. π
cherishParticipantHelloe everyone! First post! π

I’m also a believer of the new guy being Baelfire. Or at least I hope he is (I’m kind of crushing on him).
