Cora is the main villain of the series. She’s coming to Storybrooke to get revenge. You’re more likely to see a merger/alliance bettween Regina and the Charmings (possibly Gold as well) to confront Cora.
[adrotate group="5"]crest1994ParticipantTo adress the point by Lostuponatime. The Legend of King Arthur, is that he was a King somewhere in Britain, he’s a British symbol. It’d be perfectly possible to have a hunchback called Quasimodo, and a Gypsy called Esmerelda etc, but just don’t have the setting at the Notre Dame/ Paris.

If memory serves, the casting call for Lancelot mentioned he was British, but, yeah, he didn’t exactly sound it. Maybe they couldn’t find an actor who could fake the accent convincingly, so scrapped the idea.
It doesn’t really make sense, as if he was British that would mean that Britain was in Fairytale land not the real world 😛 Also same goes for the pilot ep where Dracula as seen in the book, Dracula took place in Transylvania, Romania, a real place. The writers just have to gloss over these and remove references to the actual place, ie Britain, Translyvania, Notre Dame/Paris
crest1994ParticipantCorrect me if I’m wrong but hasn’t King George already been de-throned? I remember an episode of them retaking the castle when Charming was locked up by Regina, and the knights have the same crest. Did we find out what happened to George after Charming and Snow took back the Castle/Kingdom?
crest1994ParticipantI think it was probably Cora’s crypt to start with. So the hearts in their are probably mostly Cora’s victims so Regina probably doesn’t know who they belong too.
Also, when I heard Regina say she wanted to redeem herself, my thought was that her priority would be helping bring Emma and Snow back, I didn’t think about going to her crypt and smashing all her stuff. Also things like the snakes etc can be used against evil people just as much as good people. When Cora comes to town there going to need as much stuff Regina has in her arsenal that they can get. Definitely think one of our heroes, Emma or Henry is going to get hold of that book and do some magic. They’ll be thanking Regina before long.
crest1994ParticipantIf Regina’s not dead by the end of the very last episode (I think she will die protecting Henry or someone else from Cora, maybe blocking her attack) then maybe it will be Regina having a child. The Charmings already have true love and their family, with Henry to look after. It’s Regina who needs to find true love, and we’ve seen how much she wants a kid (adopting Henry, trying to adopt Hansel and Gretel) and she could say something like wanting to do it right this time, or be a better Mum etc
Remember the enchanted forrest is 2 kingdoms (King George, and Snows/Regina’s) maybe one remains under the charmings control, and Regina is queen of her current one (the people have warmed to her after she redeems herself so don’t mind her) and the 2 kingdoms are allies/friends etc, instead of their hostile relationship at the moment.

I swear I’ve almost had it with the Disney references … Okay, I don’t mean that. But to have Mulan in a show about storybook fairy tale characters is a little bit to “on the nose” for Disney-owned ABC. I don’t think it’ll be Esmeralda … Her story takes place in a REAL place: Paris. All of these other stories take place in non-descript kingdoms … But good guess! … I could be wrong … It has happened once before … 😀
Well the Legend of King Arthur took place in a real place, BRITAIN! But I don’t think Lancelot sounded very British. It’s perfectly possible to include Quasimodo and Esmerelda and just remove the Paris references like they did with Lancelot.
crest1994ParticipantFirst off, I thought Regina already had her powers back? The book gave them to her, when she turned up at the town hall and afterwards with Henry at her house she didn’t have the book but seemed to be fully charged.
Also yes, I agree she will turn up in SB, and Regina will defend HER town, then they reinstate her as mayor? as for Rumple I think he’d help out Regina, sure there’s a history, but he gave Regina magic so she could help get rid of Cora so obviously it’s in Rumple’s best interest to have Regina win over Cora. Maybe Rumple feared she was becoming too powerful, so sent her away, then in all those years she’s actually managed to overtake “the dark one.” Never seen Rumple be able to shapeshift!!!

Everything involving Regina was so well written in this ep. Add me to the chorus of people who felt some actual sympathy for her for the first time. I’m actually starting to really want her to be redeemed. Before this ep, I really hadn’t thought she deserved it.
What about The Stable Boy? That was the first time for me. I always liked her as a villain, but The Stable Boy just added so many dimensions to her character. Obviously Snow was deceived and was only a child, but wouldn’t you feel anger towards someone who broke a promise and got the love of your life taken away, your happy ending gone forever. Even if you don’t agree with Regina’s motives at least you have better reasons now of why she hates Snow unlike in the first ep where Snow said it was the traditional reason of “because I’m prettier.”
Regina is actually the victim. I’m not an Evil King, but I associate really strongly with the desire just to be loved so I understand where she’s coming from. She found true love and had her love stolen away by her mother because of Snow’s actions. She managed to escape her mother not long after, but for years the only person she had to vent her rage on was Snow. She was trapped in a castle never allowed to leave, married to a man that didn’t love her, so she killed him so she could be free of him. With that she inherited the Kingdom, but then her people didn’t love her either, hurt and rejected she chose the (wrong) path of trying to force them to like her with her power and so she became EVIL!
Then as we saw in the Hansel and Gretle episode, she tries to get kids, she offers them everything possible, and they still reject her. When she finally manages to adopt a child who she genuinely loves, cares for and protects. He rejects her too, calling her evil, wanting to live with someone else, calling someone else Mum.
She’s had a really raw deal. Plus unless I’m mistaken she wasn’t that bad as Queen, sure she ruled by fear, but Rumple was a lot worse in his town, Regina was never shown killing people just on a whim. The only people we’ve ever seen her killing was an evil witch who ATE children, so actually it was a good thing she killed her, she never explained why she did it, maybe it was to protect the children of her land. And the Sherrif/Hunter, who she killed in a fit of rage after he too, rejected her love and instead seemed to fall in love with her enemies daughter!
crest1994ParticipantJust because Emma was meant to be the saviour. Doesn’t mean someone else couldn’t have done it, that is what’s known as A TWIST! It would have been a great twist. In Shrek Fiona was supposed to be saved by Prince Charming, instead it was Shrek. She thought taking true loves form would make her human, it made her an Ogre.
I was SUPPOSED to go into work today, I knew I had to and I was supposed to all along, but I didn’t and so someone else had to cover for me.
It would have just been so much better that actually Emma failed to break it, and instead Regina unknowingly did.
It would have also been great as Rumple/Gold could have kept taunting her about how she broke her own curse deary.
It could still happen, not in the same setting, we know that Snow is going to get poisoned/cursed in an upcoming ep. Maybe later in the series, or another series, Henry could be cursed again and Regina kisses him breaking it, and maybe even fully breaks her curse returning them to the Enchanted Forrest.
Would also be controversial and good drama, as it would mean that Regina’s love for Henry was stronger than Emma’s was when she kissed him.

I thought she said that because Gold had a greenish metallic cast to his skin and she learned her magic from him. I thought that would be how she would turn green.
.That’s what I thought she meant, she didn’t care if she ended up Green like Rumple she just wanted Henry back
