I remember seeing this as well recently. He made a point to say the airdates don’t exactly match up with the episode timeline because it has only been about a year since she arrived.

To me, it is not even about Jennifer not being “appreciative” enough, or having to overcome her fear, or being unfriendly, or anything that could be stated about her.
It’s about… she’s an actress and if she doesn’t have time, she doesn’t have time.Even if she has time, it is something that she doesn’t have to do if she doesn’t want to.
It doesn’t say anything about her character, it doesn’t say anything about her friendliness, it doesn’t say anything about her appreciation of her fans.I think people fail to realize this is her job. This is her work. Just because it is a little different than other peoples’ jobs, and just because some people step away when the time is right to meet fans, doesn’t mean anything about what she chooses to do when she is at work. She chooses how she bests handles herself at work and what is required of her. It has nothing to do with character. She knows herself best and under what circumstances she bests works. If she best works when she does not put herself out there with the fans, that is how she works best. She is making sure she can do her job to the best of her abilities.
Jennifer not coming out to meet fans is in no way shape or form harming or hurting others, and if people think that, and are complaining about their feelings being hurt, then they just need to grow up. She is working. She isn’t a doctor and not showing up for work and killing patients. (cue “In the Name of the Brother reference). She is not coming out to meet fans. I don’t see how she is harming or hurting anyone.Sorry if that sounds harsh, but just because her job is different than some, and some come out to meet and greet, doesn’t mean she can. Just because I have a coworker at my job who takes 15 minutes every hour to go out to smoke and still gets paid because the boss doesn’t care, doesn’t mean I will allow myself to text or be on facebook or talk on the phone with my bff 15 minutes out of every hour just because my boss doesn’t care. My work ethic is highly different, and my focus is different. (this was just an example, haha… doesn’t really happen. My husband and I are full time youth and children’s pastors 😉 although others did that kind of stuff when I was a Chiropractic Assistant!)

Yes, and Belle will be there to help him through. It will be so good to see that. I believe she will be a huge part in Rumple and Bae’s restoration process, as she already has been. Neal has already seen a part of his father he hasn’t seen in a very long time due to her. She has a way of provoking understanding.
It’s so strange because when I theorize, I picture Storybrooke in my head.
I keep having to remind myself I can’t do that, and when I remember, it’s like a shock to the system! WHAT DO I PICTURE NOWWW?? I don’t really see how that pattern has developed yet, but I guess we will see it soon if that is the pattern the writers are going for. How angsty that will be!
Meant to add to theory in above post: If he was/is in denial, I can see the flashback to NL where Hook tried to tell him (during the duel) and then Neal finding out in realtime it really was true.

I agree, it does sound to be positive. If Hook and Bae had a friendship or even were enemies in NL, either way I can’t see Hook not telling Bae, unless he didn’t know he was Milah’s kid. Although I think he does know, d/t the “what if he doesn’t want to be found” comment. My theory is Bae already knows, and either in denial or has added it to the long list of his father’s failures. Not to make it sound light…
I would love to see the scene where Hook and 14 yr old Bae are dueling and Hook tells him about Milan and his father killing her (which, Bae never knew she ran off with a pirate) and it making him more angry and the sword duel becoming more intense.
