There was a podcast, just not live. I’m still away from my studio, so I recorded a solo podcast and didn’t have the bandwidth to live-stream it.

Actually, Rumpel’s plans have NEVER been what they seemed. In the beginning, we never knew about Rumpel’s son, how he lost him, and how the curse played into that. We just found out why Rumpel created the curse a little over a month ago: To find his son. It took all season for us to find that out. Couple that with the fact that he continuously played both sides all season, but in the end we finally learned that he in fact wanted the curse broken. Rumpel still remains an enigma.
The fact that he continuously lends his aid to both sides makes his true intentions quite unclear. He’s the one character that no one has been able to properly nail down. Even after he released magic into Storybroke, there are still conflicting theories on why he did this. Some think he did it for power, some think he did it for his son, some think it’s for revenge against Regina, and some think that it’s for the final battle. There are even those who think he’ll end up giving the power to Emma, Snow Charming for the final battle. It is after all their magic. And besides, why would he all of a sudden want more power when just a few episode prior to the finale he was willing to give it all up for his son? It makes no sense. Rumpel’s engame (so far) has been to find Baelfire and give up his powers. So, his recent actions conflict with what we thought we knew about him. The finale only confirmed that we in fact know nothing about this character.
But my main question is why does Rumpel want there to be a final battle? Has anyone ever wondered why he would want that? He created the curse so that he could find his son, so why would he want to start an Apocalypse immediately after he found him? I think that’s another aspect about his character that keeps the audience guessing. He seems to want multiple things at multiple different times.
Even the writers are constantly reminding us via inteviews that Rumpel has mulitple plans up his sleeve. For all we know, every theory that I just listed could end up being true to some extent. He’s had years to plan to whatever he’s planning, so who knows.

Here’s the thing. This kind of upsets me because I was enjoying dancing around in the privacy of my own house, singing about my middle name (like I always do), when I noticed someone listening from the window. I tried to catch the spy, but couldn’t get to them in time before they came here. That that they’ve proudly exposed my name, I can no longer lay claim to their firstborn.
So I have to give credit to someone whom I'll announce in episode 41 of ONCE podcast. 😆 (It should be tonight.)
The hiatus didn’t hit me hard until I started reviewing the Once Upon a Time soundtrack. Some themes gave me chills, remembering the emotions from the episodes.
I’ll post an episode tonight about the soundtrack (with legal excerpts, too!), but I’m still traveling so I can’t live-stream the recording.
