These updates are taking time to ensure that they work and don’t break other stuff. But I wanted you to know that these are my priorities and I’m working on them.

Here’s the story. We use iTunes affiliate links for everything (including free podcasts). So if you click anything from our site that links to iTunes, we get 4% of what you purchase within 72 hours of your click.
iTunes recently switched affiliate programs which meant that the hundreds of iTunes links (podcasts, iOS apps, Mac apps, music, TV shows, and more) across all of Noodle.mx Network were no longer earning money.
When I set out to change all of these links, I forgot that certain parts of our website are based on a character count. So changing the URL from 100 characters to 30 made these character counts not match up. The result was that most of the widgets broke on all of our sites.
This morning, I found, recounted, and fixed all of those widgets.
In the future, please email [email protected] with a descriptive subject line (like “Chat room disappeared” instead of “Chat room”) when something breaks. You also won’t have to tweet both @theRamenNoodle and @ONCEpodcast because I receive both notifications (my phone would buzz twice for every tweet sent to both accounts).
Please help. I’m trying to log in to the live chat, am logged on as my user name but it’s not letting me post. I tried to click on guest but nothing happens. I don’t use social media. Is using social media the only way to enter the chat?
