ParticipantI’ve mentioned this in another thread and I don’t recall this having been brought here yet, but can we be sure the Home Office exists only on the Land Without Magic? I’m thinking it could be a Wolfram & Hart (from Angel) kind of organization, existing in multiple realms and trying to erradicate magic in each one of them for whatever reasons. This’d certainly explain their apparently vast knowledge on magic.

ParticipantWell, we don’t really know for sure if they take Henry to NL, we just assume it because of the episode titles. It’s possible that the Home Office GOAT work for is a subsidiary and the headquarters is actually on another realm – not unlike Wolfram & Hart from Angel – and that’s where GOAT will take Henry to.
But even if their destination won’t be NL, I could see the finale ending giving Henry a similar fate as Neal’s, with Tamara, brought to the brink of death by Rumple’s hands, throwing the last bean right under him, taking him away from his family and into NL. The episode would then end with the Lost Boys surrounding him. 🙂

How long will Nealfire be away is the question. I can’t see them separating him from everyone else for very long especially since MAP may not be around in S3, they all have other commitments that are at least part time and I can’t see Emma moving on rapidly at any point. She barely moved on in the 10 years since Nealfire left her. She’s not going to be hooking up with anyone anytime soon. She may develop a friendship with Hook, but I don’t know if we’re going to get a triangle anymore.
That puzzles me as well.
As far as Hook/Emma goes, I know they’ve hinted that we’d be seeing it in some way, but I feel like they’ve given Neal/Emma a threshold too high for Hook to be able to compete with equal chances. Neal has been the love of her life for the last eleven years; she’s never truly fallen out of love with him, no matter how much she tried to deny. She’s kept objects that reminded her of him, she had a son with him and she states that she needs him and that she loves him right before losing him again, which crushes her to no end. It feels too much like they’re each other’s true loves, it does make one wonder if they’re really going for a classic triangle or Hook will just be a obstacle in their love story.
Not that I complain, mind you – I ship SwanFire fiercely -, but that’d suck for CaptainSwan shippers, that’s for sure.

Aren’t those both the same thing? 😈 Sorry, couldn’t help myself. 😛
Hahaha! The first option focuses on Tamara, the other on Greg. But you already knew that. 😛

So you think they’ll locate kidnapped Henry and GOAT before the end of the ep? I’d been thinking that everyone setting off on the Jolly Rodger to find them will be near the end of the ep, and Henry (and GOAT) won’t actually be found until next season.
Yeah, I do. The prophecy of Rumple’s undoing is intended to play a role in the finale; unless they claim that Henry is Rumple’s undoing because he’s what motivated Neal to fall willingly into the portal – which would be a big letdown for so much buildup – I can’t see it not involving a showdown between Rumple and GOAT for the life of Henry.

As for Cora–I would say she was actually beyond reason most of the time. Remember the time Jefferson tried to bargain with Cora? He says “If I tell you how I got here, can I see my daughter” and her response is, “Off with his head!” Or the time Snow traded the dagger for Johanna’s life, and Cora flung Johanna out the window anyway? I don’t think Cora was “reasonable”. Her cause was herself and her quest for power and maybe Regina (though I’m still not sure about that) and she would not let anything stop her.
Cora’s lack of a heart played a lot in her unreasonableness. Who knows how reasonable could she be if we’d more than just a few seconds of screentime with a heartful Cora? She certainly saw Regina with new eyes after that.

No, I think people are harder on Tamara because we haven’t gotten her backstory, she interfered with a popular ship, she has “killed” two of our more main hero characters, is a two-timer. While there are some parallels with real world fanatics and we fear such people (rightly so), not everyone who believes in a cause goes full-on nutso about it so long they cannot ever see reason or admit wrong-doing. Someone mentioned the Salem Witch Trials in connection with the Home Office–ever see this? Declaration of Regret. People sometimes get caught up in a cause until something makes them see the evil behind what they themselves are doing, not just those they are attacking in the name of righteousness. I don’t know how they intend to write Tamara just yet–full on crazy or just misguided. She did seem regretful about shooting Neal and popping the portal, telling him he was a good man, so perhaps as we see more they could show us the other side of her story. Then she dies just as we realize she’s not quite the fanatic and lost cause that we thought. Because they like to play with us like that.
I’ve said it before, the Home Office is likely to have so many operatives we can’t expect all of them to get episodes devoted to their backstories. I see it more likely that we’ll get a Greg backstory showing him joining the HO and meeting Tamara, during which she sums in a few lines her (bad) experience with magic.
I say this because I severely doubt she’ll survive the finale. She just messed with one of the most precious people to Rumplestiltskin, he’ll totally be out for her blood. The episode description even mentions this: “and Mr. Gold mourns the loss of his son, Bae/Neal”; we all know Henry’ll be mourning Neal too, I see no reason for them to mention Gold’s mourning, let alone singling him out, in the synopsys if it’s not going to play a heavy role in the events.

I’m not going to cheer for two reasons.
1) She’s not the worst villain we’ve seen.
She’s not as bad as Cora or even Regina. She thinks she’s fighting a war, and wars (as Rumpel said) do have costs. I’ll fault her for maybe not trying to minimize the costs as hard as she can, but she’s not crazy or selfish. She thinks this is all for the greater good so she is misguided perhaps, thinking all magic users are “evil creatures”. With Regina as an example, she sort of has a point.I disagree. While Cora and Regina are evil monsters, they are not beyond reasoning with; Tamara, however, is a fanatic, and there’s nothing more dangerous than dealing with fanatics, because there’s no reasoning with someone who believes wholly in the righteousness of his/her mission. It’s like expecting Barack Obama and Osama Bin Laden to have come to a peace agreement, it was just not going to happen.

Good point. I’ll remain skeptical but if Rumple does off her…I’ll cheer just as loudly as the rest of you. 😀
For keeping Belle imprisoned for 30 or so years, Rumple sent a wraith against Regina to curse her soul for eternity. The least I expect from him is to attempt to top this for the “death” of the son he loves so much he’s spent a lifetime to find. 🙂

Warning: do not read if you really don’t want to be spoiled OR if you’ve avoided MAJRO spoilers I don't think Tamara or Greg will die because they kidnap Henry and take him (we think) to Neveland before the Charmingstiltskin clan follows.
We don't know at which point in the episode this happens. It's been said that the prophecy of Rumple's undoing will play this season, and I can't be the only one thinking its twist is that it's about Greg and Tamara forcing Rumple to choose between his life or his grandson's. In this scenario, I can see Rumple finding a way to save both him and Henry as well as giving Tamara a death we won't forget.

I don’t particularly want a Tamara centric episode either because I feel like it would just anger me but I do think we need one, so let’s get it out of the way.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a Tamara centric one. What drives her can be easily told in a few lines in an organization centric flashback showing Greg joining them and meeting Tamara. And, honestly, I’m not expecting much more than that. Regardless of Sonequa being a regular in TWD next season, I can’t see her surviving the finale after just “killing” the son of Rumplestiltskin. Gold is so not going to accept this passively, I’m fully expecting him to kill her in the finale.

The list certainly doesn’t look complete, that’s for sure. I’m glad with who we do see on there but it’s like they ran out of room and just said “Eh, forget it, let them be surprised.”.
What’s most curious about it is that both Adam & Eddy already said we’d see MAP in the finale, so it makes no sense to hide their presences in the press release.

ParticipantRumple giving Tamara a memorable death. That is all.
