HOT AS HELL!! I was never a Rumbeller and I don't like that ship, but I think I'm going to ship Corumpel! There is that great alchemy between them that I don't see in the Rumbelle. Oh you Rumpel, sexy beast!
Gasoline, meet flame! π π π

I think you misunderstood the mechanics of the candle. I’ve rewatched the scene a few times and I’m pretty sure the name to be whispered when holding it over someone’s heart is of the person who’ll be saved, not the heart owner’s. In this case, Rumplestiltskin’s.
BlueCora: You must hold this candle over the heart of your sacrifice, and whisper their name. And when the candle is lit, that person’s life will be traded for your mother’s.
That says to me that the heart and the name that’s said, belong to the person who is gonna die.
Oh, fair enough. English is not my first language; I understood it to be “her”, not “their”.

I think it will just be Cora’s heart. We now know for sure that the candle is in play again. For the candle to work, you need to hold it over a heart and whisper the person’s name. So if Snow is attempting to kill Cora in exchange for Rumple’s life, even if she’s gotta try a few hearts, it’ll only work when she picks the right heart and says the name that matches to it. So I don’t see anyone being accidentally killed if Snow’s using the candle to take someone’s life, because it’s a very specific way to kill a specific person. And I think it will be perfection if Cora’s plan to turn Snow’s heart dark ultimately results in her own death.

DemiletoParticipantTheory: Ruby, if present on the episode, stays out of the main battle because Snow’s entrusted her with the task of finding Cora’s heart.
Episode previews have hinted in her hidden heart being revelant to the story and the only one we know so far who’s aware of the heart’s “condition” is Hook, who’s not on the episode, leading me to conclude that someone else, probably Rumple, will clue them in on it. Ruby, being an exceptional tracker due to her wolf side, is then ideal personal for the task of finding Cora’s greatest weakness.

Meghan may not necessarily be in this ep, even though she’s in the cast list. She’s a main cast member, so should be in the cast list in the press release for every ep, whether she makes an appearance or not, right?
Media people that have already seen the episode have confirmed that she is in it.
Maybe Ruby’s in the back room with Gold, taking care of him, then? She’s certainly not present in the final battle, as the pictures show.

Hm…someone suggested that Cora would stab Rumple, become the new Dark One, but what would happen if Snow used the candle on Cora when she is the Dark One? Would she be the 4th new Dark One (Zoso, Rump, Cora…)? I still don’t see Cora doing that, because she only needs to control Rump. So if the person controlling the Dark One is Killed, I don’t think the killer automatically gets control….
This is best answered from an excerpt of the original post of the “Spoilers from Paleyfest on this episode!” thread on this forum:
The next scene is Regina and Cora. Regina comments that their plan will not work now because the Charmings know they have the dagger and Henry would be able to trace the blame to them. They are tapping the phone listening to a conversation between Emma and Snow and discover Rumple is injured. (There is a very funny moment when Cora knocks the device off the desk and says “I don’t like what the enchanted box is saying!”) They look at the dagger and realize he is more than just injured, he is dying. His name is disappearing from the dagger. Cora says they must change their plans…she is going to stab Rumple and become the dark one. If Rumple dies on his own, the dark magic just desolves. Regina questions her mom’s motives.

So maybe it comes down to: who does Snow save by killing Cora with the candle? Two best choices: Charming and Rumple who is in big trouble after Hook hurt him.
As I said above, my bet’s on Rumple. The whole present-day plot of next week’s episode has Rumple facing his worst moment since becoming the Dark One: not only he’s extremely ill, but he’s also being cornered by the dagger-holding duo Cora and Regina. Death will be very much a reality to him, so much that I’m sure this’ll be what motivates the so-called poigonant moment between Rumple and Belle: he’ll want to hear her voice one last time before his imminent demise. With such a grim fate on the horizon, I can’t see the episode ending with a completely unscathed Rumple; at the very least he’ll lose his Dark One status.
I’ll also add that it’s my belief that the events of “The Miller’s Daughter” is what the prophecy about his undoing meant. Henry is what motivating Regina to go along Cora’s plan to target Rumple, so in a way his grandson will cause his undoing.
DemiletoParticipantI think this is simpler than most people are thinking here; Once’s mysteries aren’t that hard to figure out, as shown by the “Bae is Henry’s father”, “Cora is the Queen of Hearts” and “Cora killed Snow’s mother” theories. “Queen is Dead” and the promo for “Miller’s Daughter” pretty much spelled out the outcome of the next episode for me: Cora stabs Rumple with the dagger and becomes the Dark One, but Snow uses the candle on Cora’s heart, saving Rumple and killing Cora.
