ParticipantI find it hilarious how whenever a blind item is released, my usual thought is OuaT (and 95% of the time it’s not). However when this one came along, I was certain that it wouldn’t be but now looking at the facts, it’s seeming more & more likely XD
Um, yeah. This.

ParticipantWhy is the step family just now trying to undo her happiness? Were they in the Land of Untold Stories up until now? And how?
It clashes with Wonderland…
And, from what I understand, they HAVE recast Lady Tremaine.

ParticipantI figured he had to come back (would have been nice if TVLine hadn’t put him in the “death” category of their May Sweeps, putting him in “maybe dead” instead) because the EQ is left holding his heart, not crushing it.
I recall they made the same mistake listing the Apprentice as a death in their May 2015 Sweeps, too. The Apprentice did eventually die, but it wasn’t until the Season 5 premiere months later.
To be fair, we all thought Mickey was dead, too.

ParticipantI still don’t think the Evil Queen crushed his heart. All we saw was her rip it out, and hold it in her hand. It would make sense if she wanted to control him instead. Maybe she needs his help getting into Storybrooke, or has something else in mind?
He’s her dragon, now.
Anyway, I never thought he wouldn’t be back for season 6.

ParticipantThe fact that there’s an actual FWOOSH written into the script amuses me
Having read the scripts for the pilot and “Skin Deep,” (not to mention the article about their “colorful” writing style) I am not at all surprised.
In fact, I’d be surprised if it weren’t there.

ParticipantI know this is all wild and very vague and raises a lot of questions. It’s the best explanation I can come up. I really don’t think there’s any way to resolve this without an explanation that’s highly mystical, because it touches on the question of where stories come from.
I like the meme idea, though how does one determine a story’s potency, and who is doing the determining? I suppose that, following up on the meme concept, it could be simply be a story’s “contagiousness.” But if there are multiple versions of each story, don’t we get into the possibility of multiple versions of each character, and a kind of multiplication of parallel universes at points of bifurcation?
Yep. And, somehow, we’ve switched universes.

ParticipantI’m trying to fit how this could possibly work with what we know from WL and this “Many Years Ago” thing is so vague and annoying. Like, WL took place during season 2 of OUAT, so that’s 2012 if I’m not mistaken, and thus 4 years ago, which could technically be many years ago. Maybe Jafar really is/was Aladdin’s Genie and he freed Jafar from the lamp?
Except In-show Timeline wise, it hasn’t been 4 years. It has been roughly 9 months – 1 year (If that).
Wha…?
I keep forgetting that time has passed differently in the show. So this 100% has to take place during WL or before WL then? Okay… so….how does Princess Jasmine fit into this? Wouldn’t she need to be Jafar’s sister to still be a princess (which honestly, I wouldn’t put past this show. For non-WL fans, Jafar is the son of the sultan of Agrabah in the once-verse). If this is before or during WL, then Jafar is still after genies to complete his goal, so okay perhaps that explains how he and Aladdin know eachother (he wants Al’s genie) But…you know idk. I just don’t know whats going on or how its going on anymore. Aladdin is a savior, Jafar is a prince, the stick gained weight. I just, Idk.
Like I said, Mozenrath would have made more sense. Heck, HE was the recurring villain on the Aladdin TV show! I know he’s not as iconic as Jafar, but he would make more sense as a nemesis! Especially, since Jafar already has his own separate story! Unless he’s tricking Aladdin into finding Cyrus’s lamp for him, it makes no sense to have Jafar.
Heck, using an obscure character like Mozenrath would tie perfectly into “Untold Stories!”
Sigh. Rant over.

ParticipantNeal?
In case you don’t believe me:
My theory? This “Forgotten Character Island” was once part of the Underworld, and the portal to it was opened up, when Rumpel used the Olympian Crystal. Everybody but Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde, and Poole have cursed identities, but somehow Neal was able to communicate with Emma (maybe he is aware of whatever emotions Cursed!Neal is feeling?). Just a thought.
Actually, the mishmash style of this place would mesh with different people having different “happy places.”
Just thought I’d remind you of my theory from when we saw the finale.
