I think the reason he wanted the baby was because he knew she’d never fulfill her deal. I think he was crafty enough to know Charming would imprison him. He needed the name of their baby and knew they’d come to him in the cell. He knew Regina was enacting the curse so he played the Charmings for the name of their baby and Regina for wealth and comfort in their new home. I don’t think he ever really wanted the baby, but wasn’t above taking it if she did give in to the deal.
Great theory!
I think the man also just knows the value of a good baby… As creepy as that sounds… many people want babies (including their birth mother wanting them back desperately after they’ve promised them to him), so I think he knows that once he is promised a baby, it is a great bargaining chip…
Who knows what he got paid for securing Charming’s brother (not sure if they answered this or not, I didn’t notice)… or for securing Henry for Regina (but let’s face it, he “owns” Storybrooke, so perhaps that is what he got)…
So I don’t know for sure that it is a fascination for babies… but for their value because they are so precious.

I do believe Adam and Eddie talked about how they are definitely going to be telling us what happens to George in SB after he set up Ruby, so to me, what better way to tell that story but to contrast it with what happened to George in FTL… that time between the engagement and the wedding is the part that we don't know about yet…
eirelandParticipantHi all,
I was just about to log in and start a topic on this and then I found one! I see that some people have found SEVEN Easter Eggs on the blurays… so far I only found one, totally accidentally, I wasn’t looking for them at all.
I am going to try to find the others on my own (so far I’ve only found the “no babies were injured in the making of this easter egg” one, which like I said, was by accident)… but I might be coming back to read to find out where the others are 🙂
eirelandParticipantI didn’t know he was a series regular! That is depressing (not a huge Hook fan)….
But yes, Eddie and Adam have said many-a-time that the other actors can be in other shows/movies and *sometimes* it can be a scheduling nightmare, but it always works out in the end (i.e. Jamie came back for like a day to shoot the finale last season since he was in the UK filming a movie at the same time – he still came, shot, appeared, etc). 🙂
eirelandParticipantHow I wish Cali was closer!
I watched all the videos from last year on youtube… it looked absolutely awesome! 🙂eirelandParticipantI saw it last year when it aired, but I was in school and life was crazy, so I didn’t really get to watch it in depth and I forget a lot of the details. I am rewatching now -I am on disc 4 I think, so I am almost done (last ep I watched was Stable Boy).

When Emma saves Snow’s life and Cora tries to rip Emma’s heart out and can’t…
I also really enjoyed the Fiery Room scene between Charming and Snow… it was just so raw.
Also, the scene when E, MM and H reunited in SB… AND the subsequent: “Um, your mom… she’s uh… she’s a piece of work… you know?”Least Favourite Moment
I didn’t really enjoy the Storybrooke scenes when Charming is trying to figure out what to do (episode 2)… I’m not a huge fan of him on his own and he seems a bit awkward with everyone…eirelandParticipantI do not know or really have a theory yet about who Neal is, besides that it is possible he is Bae…
But I was just doing some googling about the name Neal Cassady, who, as I’m sure everyone already knows (because I’m slow at researching theories and just got to this now) that Neal Cassady was a real person:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neal_CassadyAs I was ready this wiki page, I clicked on the two “movement” that he was involved with to try and see what the significance of them was, and one of them brought me to this page – which CLEARLY (and likely for good reasons) made me think of Alice in Wonderland. (Or just Wonderland in general).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PsychedelicBut I don’t know Wonderland stories enough to know whether it could be related (or if there is someone else in Wonderland who could be Henry’s dad)….
I don’t really like the Peter Pan theory (cuz, he should still be in Neverland)… but I do like that he could be related to that story in some way!
eirelandParticipantYeah… that was all a little silly…
Even the next scene (which I found humerous, but also silly) when Snow said “I used to watch Cora do spells, and the spells were in the spellbook”, Emma was having some Mulan type attitude (as per your typing above) with the whole “Um, spells in a spellbook, no crap?!” haha.
I do think Emma was just too shocked that her name was written again and again and again and again….
And plus, if they had been a bit quicker, Snow wouldn’t have been able to perfectly save the day right in the exact right moment by shooting her arrow through the compass right before Cora and Hook jumped… right?
HOWEVER…
I know the Once Podcast kind of dissed the whole “first it was the quill, now it’s suddenly NOT the quill and it is the ink”… and I just rewatched the Cinderella episode (when they trap Rumpel in the cell) and they really just say “He needs to sign with this quill”… so if the quill really had a spell, why would he have to sign? I think their choice of words in this episode is resonate of the fact that there was something more to the quill.
PLUS the ink they found (Emma, Emma Emma Emma) wasn’t used on Cora to make her powerless but was instead used to break down the door… so if it really was the quill in the first place and the ink had nothing to do with it – that is also fine, because Rumpel was just trying to get them to find the ink. That was the whole point of him leaving the parchment with Emma’s name on it.
Anyways… interesting stuff – I wonder if this is the end of the whole ink/quill thing or not?
I want to see Ariel. So it better not be.
And Ursella. Ursella is going to be epic.eirelandParticipantHere are screenshots of what I mean…. the pilot has a third different cloak… but since that was the pilot, I think that is definitely not relevant.
