ParticipantPersonally, I think both women will need to come to an understanding.
Henry has made it clear the he cares for Regina and wants her to get better and be happy–he wanted her to come to the party, too, and he sat with her for a while. 🙂 He does love Regina and Emma–both of them were beginning to find a common ground and come to a toleranting relationship.
Like I said, Cora ruined it all–Regina could have gotten happiness and a healthy relationship with her son and with Emma.
I get Regina’s point–she is trying, and she was doing pretty well with Emma and Henry until she got accused of murder. And then it all went downhill for her–everything that she worked for was gone. The only people on her side were Henry and Emma–I think she was beginning to gain an appreciation for the latter.
But I also understand Emma’s–she loves Henry, and he has brought her into his life. He needs her, and she truly wanted to believe that Regina could change–she herself said that she might have ended up like Regina if she had not been given a chance, and she gave the latter that. And then when it turns out to have (in her eyes) been a lie, all her hops for Regina and for Henry being happy with his family went tumbling down. She feared what Regina could do to Henry.

ParticipantI agree. Both of them cannot let go of their dislike. But Cora did ruin things for them–they were close to getting along and have a stable, tolerable relationship. I really hope that Cora is revealed to be the one responsible for all that has happened soon.

ParticipantI do agree that it was harsh of Emma to do what she did–Regina is also Henry’s son. But Henry himself sought out Regina because he was unhappy and because he wanted to break the curse and save everyone. Regina herself admitted that she wasn’t capable of love for a very long time. I think Emma was still afraid for Henry–Regina has unintentionally poisoned him once due to her rage. She feared his life would be endangered again.
Regina did sort of let Henry go in We Are Both. She realized that the way she was raising Henry was not right and she wanted to show him that she could change.
I think that–if Cora had not showed up–Regina and Emma would have reached the point of both of them being in Henry’s life. He loves both of them and cannot be without the other. And Emma was certainly making the effort before Cora showed up, and so did Regina. Both of them were trying to be civil and polite, even getting close to friendly with each other.

ParticipantShe only crossed the line after she thought Regina had killed Archie and after she had been flung back by magic. The whole episode she spent trying to give Regina a chance. She invited her to the party. She apologized for her comment, and commented highly on Regina trying. When everyone else was willing to believe Regina had killed Archie, Emma stood up for her. She said herself that everyone deserves a chance. That she would not have ended up very well if she had not been given the chance. She was giving Regina her chance.
It was Cora in the end. She was able to come up with a good way of framing Regina for the crime. Emma was just doing what she had to–to find justice for Archie’s death and keep the town safe.

ParticipantEmma was not just doing her job–she was doing what she could to help her and Henry, who loves Regina. Just like how she invited Regina to the party and was trying to be both kind and understanding. Emma did not attack Regina with those words until Regina threw her back–yes she did not kill her, but it doesn’t justify that she used magic. Nor was Emma in anyway cold to Regina–she was warm to her, and refused to believe her guilt until she saw the memories herself–the evidence was also convincing.
Emma had accused him of tampering with the memories–that was why he made Emma take a look at the Dreamcatcher herself. And it was highly doubtful that he’d be able to tamper with the memories–Emma and the others were watching him the whole time, and I doubt that Emma truly believed him guilty of murdering Archie anyway–what would he gain from that?
I’m not just defending Emma–I am a bit tired of Regina’s actions being excused in the show all the time

ParticipantBut Emma herself saw the Dreamcatcher–plus, she was working to try to prove Regina was innocent. She wanted to believe in Regina, she wanted to believe she was innocent. Even when Prince Charming and Snow White were trying to convince her, Emma did not think badly of Regina until she used her magic (not Mr. Gold’s) to see for herself. It is not her fault that Cora was smart enough to change her appearence.
She invited Regina to dinner and was more than polite–she was close to being friendly. The only time she overstepped herself was when she at first refused to let Henry stay with Regina, but then she apologized and gave Regina credit for trying.

ParticipantIt might have just been a citizen–someone that played a minor role. or maybe just someone we have never seen before. We might find out next episode.

ParticipantI think Henry wants to prove how strong he became. He has aided his grandfather in helping him find Snow White and Prince Charming, he has managed to help Regina try to better herself, he helped Jefferson reunite with Grace, is taking care of his own horse, and had to face a confrontation with Daniel that almost killed him. 🙂
That is a lot for a 11 year old. Plus, in many ways, he has always been mature for his age. And both Regina and Prince Charming gave Henry some more choices and a bit more independence–in a healthy way.

ParticipantI guess I understand. Personally I’m not too worried about Belle. She knows who Captain Hook–his real name and she has an idea of what he wants. She has seen that he can be violent when pushed. So she knows that she is dangerous.
Plus, Rumpelstiltskin will protect her. I get that Captain Hook is dangerous, but Rumpelstiltskin is more so–he has magic and more experience then Captain Hook has. It has been seen pretty easily what he does when he thinks someone is responsible for hurting the people that he loves.

ParticipantNot sure playing her will work–Belle has enough experience with him to know he is not to be trusted. She may not know that he tried to kill her, but she knows he is not patient ofr good at all. The only person he managed to fool was Princess Aurora, and even then it wasn’t easy–plus, he had her heart, so that must have helped him a bit.
I know Captain Hook has a habit of trying to win people over, but it doesn’t seem to work. 😆 He smiles and flirts, but almost no one seems really interested. Emma ending up chaining him and leaving him behind. And with Cora, he had to prove himself to her before she could trust him again.
With him holding the gun to Belle, I can’t help but think of her as bait. I don’t think his aim is to kill Belle–all of his effort has been focused on Rumpelstiltskin.
I know killing someone’s True Love is the worst thing you can do to someone, but I don’t see him actually killing her–just holding her hostage. Simply because his whole goal has been to kill Rumpelstiltskin–that is what he knew, that is why he went to Neverland, that is what he swore to Rumpelstiltskin. “Even demons can be killed. I will find a way.”
