ParticipantThere has been too much that Baelfire has gone through to ever just let it all slide and embrace his father warmly and forgive him for everything instantly.
He killed numerous innocent people in front of Baelfire, and expected him to be okay with it. He scared off all of the only friends his son ever had in the world. And he chose magic over his own son–he even admitted to it to August in The Return.
There is also the fact that Rumpelstiltskin killed Milah–I don’t care what she did, I don’t care that she wasn’t a good mother. She still gave birth to him, she was still Baelfire’s mother, and when Bae finds out that her murdered her, he will be angrey, hurt, afraid, and untrusting of his father.
Also, Bae never wanted his father to hurt people. In fact, he kept trying to stop him from doing so. When Bae learns that he created a curse that would make people misery, killed more innocent people, manipulated others, and bargained for and sold babies it would hurt him.

ParticipantI don’t think that Maurice had locked Belle away simply from how she ran to him and hugged him. And he himself said that he thought she was still locked up by Rumpelstiltskin. If he had locked her up before, then Belle would not have been so warm or so eager to hug him.

ParticipantWhile I do think he should tell Belle about Milah, I can see why he is hesitant to bring it up. He ripped the heart of the woman that was his wife and crushed it. That is not an easy confession to make.
I’m not really suprised that Rumpelstiltskin is not telling Emma about Captain Hook–he deals with things on his own. He has only ever really gone for help when he has been in real need of it. Also, if he did go to Emma, she would not approve of killing Captain Hook, which is what Rumpelstiltskin wants to do. She would work to capture him alive–to arrest him. He probably just wants Captain Hook dead and gone.

ParticipantI really didn’t like how Rumpelstiltskin talked to Belle–the way he told her it was none of her concern, it just sounded wrong. And apparently this was after she was attacked by Captain Hook.
The funeral was really sweet and well-done. I really loved Snow White’s speech. And the way Gepetto looked while holding Archie’s umbrella.

ParticipantI wouldn’t really say that Rumpelstiltskin is trying that hard–I get that smee is a villain, but he still tied the guy up and kept him in some basement for some information. And from spoilers, we know that he will find some unwilling test subject to test out a spell that will allow him to him leave Storybrooke.
From what it seems, he has just gotten better at hiding things from her.
I was a bit surprised that Emma told him that she could use magic. I get that she needed information from him and all (and that she had hit a low for a moment thinking that she was just some sort of pawn and that she had no free-will of her own), but I think it would have been smarter to keep some things a secret, especially since Rumpelstiltskin himself has not really be truthful with everyone.
I have a feeling that he is going to be attempting to use some of Emma’s magic for his own use. He was a bit eager for her to use magic, and seemed almost insistent that she be the one to use the dreamcatcher.

ParticipantI think she could sort of feel the magic. In Broken, the Blue Fairy said that she could feel the magic, but she just couldn’t get to it because she had not Fairydust or wands.
I think the same thing with Cora–she is certainly powerful. She could probably feel the magic.

ParticipantI am not saying that Belle is Snow White or that her story is identical to Snow White’s story. Both women are different and have gone through different obstacles and tragedies. 🙂
But just her very outfit, exceot the color and and a bit of the top, look like Snow White’s when she was on the run. And it just seems suddenly random that she is running around with a sword and meeting up with Mulan and willing to fight a demon. It just seems like the writers are showing every princess out to be a warrior with a sword and ready to fight demons are save villages.
I’m not going to make any judgement until I see the whole episode, but the whole thing just looks a bit forced–like they want Belle is to be a warrior princess. I had already liked her for being warm and dedicated to finding her own path while trying to help Rumpelstiltskin.

ParticipantShe looks too much like Snow White. I do love the idea of Belle being given some scenes and her own story and episode, but they have her dressed up like Snow White. She even seems to be copying a bit of her stance and her facial expressions when she is being cautious or wary.
And it also seems so random that someone so tough and strong could be so easily kidnapped by Smee, who was unarmed. Or that she was so trusting him as to actually talk to him–a complete stranger.
I don’t want to make an judgements yet until the episode airs, but I cannot help but feel it all just looks so random, or a bit forced.

-I loved how Snow White was trying to give Regina a chance for redempton–she saw the suffering she was going through, and she could still see the young woman who had saved her a taught her about love.
-I really loved how Emma was trying to get along with Regina, and Regina was trying to get along with Emma. Both Jennifer Morrison and Lana Parrilla do wonderful on their own, but when they are together, they really shine and really feel real.
-I did like the little date with Belle and Rumpelstiltskin. It was sweet seeing them together and all.
-I also liked that Archie was not dead. I almost believed it near the end–I thought that Belle had gotten kidnapped. That was actually a nice twist.Least Favorite
-I am tired of the show trying to show us how bad Regina has is. I do feel bad for her, but enough is enough. I get it–she has it horrible. Sorry if I sound cold, but this has been going on since the beginning of season 2. I would really like it if they moved on from this topic.
-Also the whole “He’s my son!” bit is alos getting a bit tiring. Both these women are in Henry’s life and he has made it clear that he wants it to stay that way. In this case, it is a bit more understandable with the murder plot and all, but I really hope it does not last too long. Also, on a sidenote–Regina may have been trying to poison only Emma with the apple, but as long as her intent to poison was clear, even though Henry ate the apple, she would legally be held accountable for intent to murder.
elle
ParticipantI agree it wasn’t the wisest of choices for Snow White to let Regina go, but I think she had wanted to help Regina originally, and then when that didn’t work, she decided to do her one last thing to repay the debt that she owed her–she let her live in banishment.
And technically, Regina was harmless. She was basically sulking during her banishment. Yes, she wanted to cause suffering and pain, but most of it was aimed at Snow White. Without that outlet, she had no other reason to attack, especially since they would kill her–Snow White’s own vow to her.
If they had known about Rumpelstiltskin’s curse, they probably would have just kept her locked up.
