Exactly, Rumple would’ve known that and so it would really be an act of utter desperation if he tried to kill himself, trying to create the paradox.
Like I said, it would be interesting to see this low point in Rumplestiltskin and this could also be the point when he creates his master plan.But Gypsy, I cannot find an article when they specifically state that all the characters are their opposites in Storybrooke. All I have is posters’ claims, so if you could be that nice and bring me an article/tweet etc when they say that, black and white, I would be grateful. (It is an honest request, perhaps it would help me consider it more carefully)
I believe what I see and all I see right now is way too many similarities and parallels with the characters’ behaviours, whether the writers meant for it or not. “Different” isn’t “opposite”.Kellyn, it’s a forums discussion, no need to get offensive because someone disagrees with you.
Thanks to those articles I learned their views of Snow and Charming and I AGREE with that, heck I could even agree with Red. But I re-watched some of the season 1 episodes with just that in mind and I still couldn’t relate it to the other characters. Call me closed minded for that.
In fact, way too many times I could point out at a scene set in Storybrooke and say something like “Rumplestiltksin/ Cinderella/ Princess Kathryn etc would do exactly the same.”or even Rumple, after all those years without Bae having a low moment and trying to kill himself? It wouldn’t run along with his coward nature but having the Dark One’s powers has changed him a lot.
This low point could be for example that after hundreds of years of trying he finally realises that the only possible way would be to cast this curse but it requires a heart of someone he loved and this is when he lost all his hopes because he thought he wasn’t capable of love to anyone but Bae?nah, toomanyships, if Rumple had anything to do with Cora, it would be BEFORE Belle. Judging from the fact that this girl hasn’t aged much since we first saw her and she spent maybe 2,3 years in the cell, she’s only been in Rumple’s life/heart for only a few years before the curse was cast.
And during all that time Cora was already in Wonderland, probably since Regina pushed her on the day of her wedding.
Adding up, the only time Cora and Rumple could “spark up” would be before all that, probably even as far as around the time Reggie was born or even before.
Some good 30 years before Belle appeared in his life and
some good 300 years since he was with Milah.I’m actually glad there aren’t as many sneak peeks this time. It really made watching the first 20 minutes of the last episode boring.

If she really was so spoiled and her mother’s death would’ve affected her so strongly, Snow could see in Regina a bit of who she was before her mother died and understand her better than the others, especially that she saw the nice Regina before too.
