I completely agree with you AngieBelle. It’s going to be interesting to see this all play out.

I already thought that and agree with you, and when K&H come right out and say their SB persona is opposite, they’re opposite….it’s their show, they’d know 🙂
January 16, 2013 at 8:32 pm #168740snowredParticipantShouldn’t Belle remember him as the person Jefferson told her to go see? After all she didn’t have her memories then , yet she still trusted to find Mr. Gold because he will protect her so why wouldn’t she have those memories.
January 16, 2013 at 8:39 pm #168741TheGoldenKeyParticipantI think it might depend on whether it is only the false memories installed by Reggie which remains with them or if someone really had no false memory giving to them (like Belle, Cora and Hook) will they just suffer complete amnesia. In short, if you were given a false memory, slate wiped clean except for that, if not false memory given, slate is completely clean.

I just thought maybe she would revert to that person and have that last memory of going into Mr’s Gold’s shop and telling him she was told to come see him. I’m guessing she wont remember being locked up either then if that’s the case
January 16, 2013 at 9:13 pm #168747TheGoldenKeyParticipantOh she just might SnowRed. These are only my thoughts on it and I’m in the dark like everyone else. So, she could very well remember Jefferson setting her free, telling her to go and see Gold. Fun to theorize about it all though 😀

But they did NOT state this explicitly. While it applies to Snow and Charming and yes, everyone says pretty much just that, it doesn’t mean it’s a rule for the other characters. And like I said, if you read those articles you will see the quote from the writers clearly confirming that they are actually the SAME people, just the circumstances have changed so they are acting differently. AngieBelle summarized it rather nicely.
And if you think that Archie was following exactly what Regina wanted – is that really opposite to Jiminy or rather a parallel to his past when he used to be a young thief under his parent tyranny? That’s why he became the conscience – he’s much better at advising other people than deciding for himself.

I did read the articles.
Of course K&H said they are the same ppl, because they are the same ppl….no one is disputing that.
Kellyn’s point (and I agree) was that their SB persona is opposite of their FTL persona and K&H did so say that.
If you don’t want to believe what you read, in black and white – straight from the creators of the show, then don’t, so be it.January 17, 2013 at 3:30 am #168772NobodyParticipant@EvilQueen wrote:

Not true, not in the slightest.
I only posted those links to show that your very abrupt dismissal was wrong. But I see now that there is no point in even trying to open your mind to what doesn’t correlate with what’s already in there. Thanks for participating in my thread even though you completely ignored the whole point of why I started it to nit pick.
January 17, 2013 at 7:06 pm #168845evilqueenParticipantBut Gypsy, I cannot find an article when they specifically state that all the characters are their opposites in Storybrooke. All I have is posters’ claims, so if you could be that nice and bring me an article/tweet etc when they say that, black and white, I would be grateful. (It is an honest request, perhaps it would help me consider it more carefully)
I believe what I see and all I see right now is way too many similarities and parallels with the characters’ behaviours, whether the writers meant for it or not. “Different” isn’t “opposite”.Kellyn, it’s a forums discussion, no need to get offensive because someone disagrees with you.
Thanks to those articles I learned their views of Snow and Charming and I AGREE with that, heck I could even agree with Red. But I re-watched some of the season 1 episodes with just that in mind and I still couldn’t relate it to the other characters. Call me closed minded for that.
In fact, way too many times I could point out at a scene set in Storybrooke and say something like “Rumplestiltksin/ Cinderella/ Princess Kathryn etc would do exactly the same.” -
