Good luck watching them in timeline order Weedith. I tried it and got so confused.
[adrotate group="5"]fairytaleprincessParticipantWow, loving the thoughts here. Rumplrgoldfan, I LOVE your idea of not knowing who the character is and having no purpose yet not being able to leave.
I think Kathryn didn’t notice Fredrick in StoryBrooke because she was so angry and on the hurt and distructive path in the school. What we are seeing is that Ragina no longer has control over the town like she did in the beginning causing her to become nervous and angry. Remember what she told Sidney, “Do you know what I do to things that have no use, I throw them away.”. Kathryn serves her no use anymore.
fairytaleprincessParticipantRemember what the Dark One told Rumple, ” I know how to recognize a desperate soul.” Then Rumple told Belle “My power means more to me than you do dearie.”. I agree that he is protecting others from the “Curse” that the dagger possesses, an eternity of loneliness and doing the bidding of others even while imprissoned. I can see many hurt people in StoryBrooke, two with pained souls neither one of them deserving the “curse” of the dagger, David and Mary Margret.
If Ragina knew about it she would of had no reason to enact the curse, just become the new Dark One and make Snow Whites life a living hell that way. It seems to me that she and Rumple were friends in Fairytale land and he wants to protect the ones he cares about so I think he would have kept the source if his power hidden.February 25, 2012 at 8:03 am in reply to: How WILL MM ,E, & D find out that they truly are related #137659fairytaleprincessParticipantRight, I forgot about the mobile when writing this, and yet it crossed my mind earlier, good catch.
fairytaleprincessParticipantSort of reminded me of Harry Potter with Voldamort where they called him The Dark One or The Dark Lord.
fairytaleprincessParticipantYep, no one had ever come to StoryBrooke, Emma was the first one.
Emma looked at Henry and said, ” I thought you said people don’t come to StoryBrooke.”
Henry looked at her and said, “They don’t.” That was the night the stranger came.As for the food it must be magic, but no one in StoryBrooke would be the wiser because they can’t leave and therefore don’t know how the rest of the world works.
February 24, 2012 at 7:10 pm in reply to: How WILL MM ,E, & D find out that they truly are related #137624fairytaleprincessParticipantI am sure there will be some kind of revolution. Remember when MM saw the baby blanket? She seemed to have a look of remembeence and her voice changed slightly. David has yet to see the blanket or anything related to Emma (object wise) from the past.
Also I don’t think he had paid much attention to the ring on Mary Margret’s finger. All objects seem to spark some memories, we just haven’t seen the one to jog both Mary’s and David’s.
Perhaps they all need to be around the object at the sane time.fairytaleprincessParticipantI don’t know. I know that Rumple believes Belle to be dead but is there a way that Belle still has some memories of the past? This would be a great reason for Ragina to keep her locked up.
I can sort of buy Belle falling into Fairytale land through books like Henry did, after all that is what she lived through in her little town in The Disney version and the town thought she was crazy. Plus Ragina was quite mad about Henry having the book, ” What in the hell is this book I keep hearing about?!” Just imagine if you combined Henry and Belle. Keep all believers locked away in a mental ward or send them to a therapist.fairytaleprincessParticipantI agree with RiddleRaven, the miller’s daughter was terrified that she could not preform the task of turning straw into gold, she was not obsessed with gold but the king was.
As for the apples it just goes with what we know about the evil queen from Snow White. Snow does say to Charming in the pilot “She poisoned an apple because she thought I was prettier than she was, you have no idea what she is capable of.”
We also know that the evil queen told the genie “The tree and I share something in common, neither one of us can leave nor do we truly belong.” She also mentions in StoryBrooke that she is better with plants than with people.fairytaleprincessParticipantI like the tree theory. August does seem to know quite a bit about StoryBrooke, more than just the luck of reading a plaque and says he never tells a lie.
The only problem is that he was not in StoryBrooke from the start, he “was” a “stranger.” That being said there may be a flaw in that because Ragina did say he seemed familiar.
Great research! -
