ONCE - Once Upon a Time podcast
Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
Congrats to everyone who called that Andrew J West would play adult Henry! And those who believed the little girl would be his daughter, nice going!
Due to the T2 imagery in this week’s episode, I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that adult Henry Mills is not our Henry Mills, and that Lucy is just being methodical like this guy:

In a show full of Biblical symbolism, I’m not willing to immediately trust the word of someone named “Lucy”.

I liked the re-created movie scenes:
– The chin-up scene from Terminator 2.
– The bullet time scene (without actual bullet time) from The Matrix.
(What others did I miss?)
The foreshadowing was cheeky. The Last Supper scene overdid the symbolism, but it follows from the season arc, and the departure of the person with the halo is still imminent. But I really liked that Snow and Charming bought the farm.
Disliked:
Well, that’s what happens to a plot when you run the script back and forth through Google Translate a few times; you can still sort of get the gist of what’s going on.

Is Daniel going to even want to podcast this mess next season? I mean…would anybody want too.
If the show can change format, then so can the podcast. I suggest the MST3K treatment.

some catchy songs that turn into ear worms
Done literally, that would’ve been the perfect explanation for all the singing.

-Still really don’t get why the Doctor took this oath to become a prisoner on Earth. Was it the only way he could get the Master/Mistress to stay inside the Vault?
Hmmm… The Doctor and the Master are brothers[*], and this episode was all about sacrifice to look after family.
[*] Or so the Doctor Who podcasts say, based on strong (but circumstantial) evidence.
ETA: I didn’t recognize Poirot until the credits.

Points for timeliness: Rumpel and Black’s conversation on the road at the end, against the crescent moon. That’s how it really looks tonight:
