ParticipantAlso, how did her CAR get to our world??!
Okay, I’m being serious when I say this, even though it probably sounds like I’m being ridiculous on purpose: I think the car is the author’s horse, which he takes with him in disguise when he travels to other realms. The car can drive itself, and Cruella claimed credit for that, but maybe all that means is that she controls its horse brain.
Not sure how it followed her when she went through the portal without it, but maybe it’s like house elf magic where the command itself provides all the power that the spell needs.

ParticipantSo could the baby have transferred magically from Juliette to Adelind. This situation with Juliette is wild so it’s not so far fetched that she could be the mother but Adelind is the surrogate.
I think that fits the timeline better than the, uh, events of the original switch do. And I’m hoping that the writers don’t resort to another ritual to restore Juliette’s sanity, so if this is just a temporary transference of Adalind’s powers and attitude because of a shared pregnancy, it could all change on its own in a few weeks.
I like Grimm a lot, but I think they’ve let magic become way too powerful and unrestricted. If they resolve the current plot quickly and then just ignore magic through season 5, I’ll be very happy.

ParticipantWe KNOW Belle would never be so cruel to anyone, even Rumple, as to say the things she did. She’ll speak cold, hard truths when she has to, but she doesn’t do it to wound. And Regina said herself that it was in Regina’s nature to do just that.
We saw Lacey enjoy a spot or two of cruelty. Lacey didn’t go away, and Belle has reason to hate Rumpel. The cruel taunt could have been a way to get a bit of revenge while also convincing Rumpel that Regina was in control.
And let’s suppose that it WAS someone else’s heart, and Belle was in on the whole thing (which is beyond my ability to accept from Belle’s character, but seems to be the theory that Regina’s more desperate defenders favor). How does it clear Regina ANY to harm (she did squeeze) and possibly kill (she’s against Rumple; she had to be willing to go through with it if absolutely necessary) an unknown stranger?
I’m sure the vault held hearts of dangerous bad people, too, and not just of heroes. Just hide the rotten part while showing the heart to Rumpel. Or get a volunteer donor; Killian owes Belle a few favours.

Participant1) Criella does have limits for what she can do. She can’t kill. And judging from what The Author said, she may not be able to indirectly cause someone’s death because if so she would have just sent dogs after Author or even Maleficent-Dragon. She probably literally can’t cause someone to die whether it be by her direct hands or animals commands (oooh rhyme!).
I wonder how that “can no longer” clause interacts with time travel and timeless realms.
Anyway, that explains why Chernabog went after Maleficent. Like I said in chat, Mal is the only one of the three who has a high level of evil (which Ursula lacks) and the capabilities to draw out such evil (which Cruella lacks). Cruella doesn’t have the darkest potential because all she is is empty threats.
Any chance Chernabog had good motives but poor communication skills, like Philip?
Or potential could refer to future generations. Maybe Ursula and Cruella are infertile.

ParticipantThat was definitely Belle’s heart. The scene was cut to leave it ambiguous as to whether or not Belle gave her consent for Regina to take her heart.
Cut scenes are interesting, but they aren’t canon until they’re “locked in” on screen. I’m thinking of early Jabba the Hut footage.

Participant3. I don’t think Henry’s middle name is Daniel. I think that was a signal.
Totally. And if it is Henry’s middle name, then that’s a missed opportunity for the “Something is not right; play along” ploy.

ParticipantEmma is going to continue making decisions now even though her state of mind is completely messed up from killing Cruella. “Going dark” isn’t cosmic punishment; Emma did the right thing. But she still has to deal with the ongoing crisis in town, and because she has a conscience, that killing and all the subsequent doubts and second-guessing has put her in no fit state to deal with the crisis. She’s stressed; she’ll snap.

ParticipantAre there any Deep Space Nine fans here? There was that episode where Doctor Bashir’s friends found out that his parents had effectively cast him away as a child for being inadequate. The parents turned him into a purchased product, at the expense of an innocent life. Sure, they had good reasons for upgrading Jules, but he could never fully forgive them until they had not only acknowledged their actions but also their accountability. Snow and Charming are still in denial about the accountability part.

Participant-Why is Emma killing Cruella considered a bad thing?
It’s a police shooting, with all of the cans of worms that that opens up. And it’s one human being killing another, a traumatic event with lasting consequences even when it’s necessary.

Participant–Not showing us how Regina took Belle’s heart. They left the suggestion that Belle might have OFFERED her heart to torture Rumple with? What? No way. But now it’s going to be endlessly argued in the fandom because of that lack of clarity. Plus…I dunno, there’s something I wickedly enjoy about Regina’s heart taking…but they couldn’t allow Belle to have that extra second of screentime. And forcing Belle to forget everything…sigh. That means basically in Belle time NOTHING has happened for three episodes. Again.
Belle might be willing to work with Regina, but she’d never trust her old jailer with her heart. That was just one of the spares from Regina’s vault. It was all a ploy to protect Belle from Rumpel’s wrath.
