I agree wholeheartedly that Emma did the right thing. She not only acted, but she acted quickly to gain the victim’s safety. There’d be something wrong with her, though, if for the next few weeks these actions don’t put her into a confused, introspective headspace that interferes with her ability to make sensible decisions.

I think the explanation that Cruella’s mother gave to Walt[*] at the hotel isn’t any more reliable than what Cruella told him. Cruella might have inherited a genetic predisposition, but years of abuse made her problems much worse. Cruella’s name suggests that her mother always wanted her to be that way.
[*] I know they immediately retconned his name on Twitter and again in this episode, but I’m sticking with “Walt” because it’s too soon for retcons.

Ah! What season? I made a season 18 (the red one) so that it could do double duty as a Christmas-themed scarf. I just used Bernat worsted, not the special yarn that’s no longer available.

Scottish still falls under Caucasian (White).
But the issues are no less divisive for not being immediately visible.
(And some caucasian ethnic groups have extremely dark skin.)

Question about racial diversity among the core cast: Are we talking actual race or skin colour?
That’s an important distinction.
Lana is latina so there is some diversity but she’s a white latina therefore the core cast is all white?
There’s also Robert. Scottish is very, very, very Not English, neither of which are ethnically or culturally homogeneous.

Cyrus, despite being part-Latino and therefore a minority, was nowhere close to being Arab.
I thought Peter Gadiot was well cast for the role as Cyrus. He looks a lot like my Iranian friend.

Tamara- Dead, evil, rather insignificant to the plot.
Tamara would have been more sympathetic if they’d continued to develop her backstory. When they abandoned the entire magic-versus-technology plot, she shared the same fate as her white male partner.
Marian – Dead. And what little significance she had to the plot turned out to not actually be her at all but another white woman in disguise.
I think the material that Christie Laing is getting to work with — as Zelena in the modern world and as Marian in the flashbacks — is more interesting now.

Why did they kill off Lancelot, never to be heard of again? Did the writers intend to return to his story? It seemed like the writers were going to be visiting Camelot again, but then they got the rights to Neverland, and it got passed over.
My guess is that it was too close on the heels of the UK’s Merlin series.

Zelena lied. She wouldn’t throw away leverage, and she has ways of turning enemies into assets. I wouldn’t be surprised if Marian is 30 years older than Robin now, though.
