GaultheriaParticipant
Darkness is good, for hunters and for prey. It’s just our diurnal mammal bias that equates it with evil.

GaultheriaParticipantIt looked like a big flying monkey. Is Walsh now stumbling confused through the woods outside the town line?

March 4, 2015 at 12:41 pm in reply to: "We made a deal, Rumple. And you never go back on a deal." #297552GaultheriaParticipantDid Rumpel break the deal he made? Or just the deal the others thought he’d made?

March 4, 2015 at 12:33 pm in reply to: FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS from this episode 4X 12 DARKNESS AT THE EDGE #297547GaultheriaParticipantI think Belle’s attitude towards Hook is believable. She likes to think the best of everyone, including bad boys, just not necessarily romantically (though Lacey isn’t dead, just resting). Belle is the Pollyanna of the show.
I’m disappointed with Rumpel’s infodump about Emma’s potential for darkness. We could have speculated and argued about that for weeks. He could be lying, of course, but there was so much opportunity for the show to hint at Emma’s potential, and instead they just told us.
Did I hear the dialogue wrong, or did they make a hentai joke? OUAT deals with adult themes, but tentacle porn isn’t adult, just weird.

GaultheriaParticipantAll of this leads me to one thing. EITHER
1) 4B is the last season
OR
2) They got a 5th season but it’s only between 11-13 episodes to wrap it all up
Yeah. Season 5 is already half-produced, too, if they want to count Wonderland towards the home video bundle.
I’d like to see what they produce when they no longer have to try for another renewal. I think it’d improve the story.

GaultheriaParticipantThis is what showrunner Bruno Heller weighed in during an interview prior to last week’s episode, if you’re interested:
It’s the beginning of the story of how the Joker came to be, how the Joker was created, where he came from, who he is.
Maybe Heller is being literal. This was the episode where Jim and Leslie nudge-nudge-wink-winked.

GaultheriaParticipantIt’s still possible the kid’s not Joker. Previews mentioned a new criminal “The Red Hood”.
Joker, so far, seems to be a kind of spirit of Arkham that has yet to settle on a host body, if the laughter when the fake nurse got her face bloodied was more than just a stylistic choice. I think “creepy guy in police interview room” is just more fan service, like the bad comedian in Fish’s club; the show sometimes takes the easy route and draws from the successes of past works instead of making its own. The alternate histories from the comics suggest that Gotham will always make a Joker; the show can stretch this out for years.

GaultheriaParticipantInteresting that it’s Steve’s “before” picture that’s important to Peggy. It must really bother her when people assume it’s the “after” version that attracted her.
I am not a fan of that girls camp in Russia…”Dotty” is a very scary individual…it’s so creepy that she still sleeps with handcuffs. And when she killed that little girl in the beginning, I nearly screamed.
It explains a lot about Natasha, if she went to a school like that.
