ParticipantK&H, the writers, have said Emma is just Emma.
She doesn’t have a counterpart.
They said that this -OUAT – is her story and it’s being told now 🙂They also said that her name, Swan, is a nod to the Ugly Duckling story and also a nod to the Swan Station on LOST 🙂

ParticipantRumple and Regina had a discussion about Rumple being the one to ‘procure’ Henry for her.
They didn’t say anything about getting him from someone ‘on the outside’.Knowing Gold/Rumple was involved in the adoption in some way, I would think that August wasn’t. I don’t think they would have had any contact with each other until AWB posed as Bae because Rumple was almost totally convinced that August was Bae – if they had contact before then, Rumple would have recognized him.
Plus, it was made clear that August was in Phuket when Emma found out that she was pregnant, and he was still there 10 yrs later when She arrived in SB.

ParticipantI agree with Ser_Dragon.
I Love/watch OUAT (and LOST) because of these writers. They are brilliant.
I want to see the story they want to tell.
I don’t want to see the story that the fans want them to tell.gypsy
ParticipantYeah, I was wondering about all that, myself 🙂

ParticipantAt some point they’ve got to establish a August and Jefferson connection.
There are deleted scenes (I believe on the S1 DVD set…??) showing August at Jefferson’s house.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I think they were actually still shots, not scenes 🙂

ParticipantI don’t think August spent time in Neverland.
He seemed to age normally, timeline – wise and him and Neal didn’t seem to know each other.
If they had been together in Neverland -going through something like that with someone – you’d remember them.BF could have told August/Pinocchio about Bae/Neal, but she didn’t have her memories after the curse so it would’ve had to be before the curse.
I still think August knew Jefferson and Jefferson knew Bae/Neal and that’s the connection.
Jefferson told August about Bae/Neal.gypsy
ParticipantThat is very interesting! 🙂

Participant“…follow it wherever it leads you…” – that sentence was an important part in the Bae is Henry’s father (who we now know is Neal) and Peter Pan theory that TheGoldenKey posted on here a while back (and I added to, at her request).
Some ppl tried to discredit the theory on the basis that “…..The BF said the bean would take Bae to a place without magic, Neverland has magic, so he can’t be Peter Pan!…..”Guess that’s not a hole in the theory anymore……is it 😉

ParticipantSomeone, I think it was Marylou, pointed out a awhile back that one of the Dwarfs was wearing a Geronimo Jackson t – shirt, which I think was just a nod and not a clue, like Neal/Bae, Emma and Henry’s Geronimo Jackson connections.
Also, Geronimo Jackson was supposedly from the Excelsior Distrct in San Francisco…which is heavily associated with Jerry Garcia and the Geateful Dead.
Geronimo Jackson is based on the Dead. Horowitz is a Dead Head 🙂
Geronimo Jackson – switch the G/J. – you get JG= Jerry Garcia.
The Dead wrote a song about the real Neal Cassady’s ‘Magic Trip’ when he drove the ‘Further’ bus to Manhattan and the lyrics reference Neverland.Neal and Emma’s GJ stickers and Henry’s CD is ‘Dharma Lady’, which has Rabbit Jack on it.
GJ is also associated with Alice in Wonderland – there’s a GJ poster with a Wonderland theme.
That’s why I think Neal/Bae and Jefferson know each other (plus there are the clues in Neal’s apartment).gypsy
ParticipantI completely agree.
Once Rumple let go of Bae’s hand, the rules changed. There’s also an off chance that the Blue Fairy wasn’t completely honest with Bae.
We’ve seen her fudge the truth before.I think the BF knew full well that Rumple would not be able to bring himself to go into that vortex with Bae and that’s exactly what she wanted.
She needed The Dark One to need a reason to ‘do nothing else, love nothing else’ and devote centuries to perfecting the Dark Curse so that it could be cast and ultimately be broken.
Separating Rumple from Bae provided that reason. She told Bae the bean would take him to a place without magic, but, she maybe didn’t tell him it would take him to a place with out magic only if it was both of them who went through.
She told Bae to follow the bean ‘wherever it may lead you’….why say that when she just said the bean would take him to a place without magic? -
