    Exactly, MysteryKat 🙂

Fan sites aren’t just a place to socialize and post theories.
It’s a place full of info!
I appreciate when ppl post about nods/clues that I am not aware of because I may not be ‘into’ a particular thing.

I didn’t get the Tron nods or some of the comic book nods that others did.
I got the Star Wars nods, but I’m not as die – hard SW fan, so, I probably won’t get some of them, if they are too obscure.

I do get the classic literary nods/clues and the LOST and Stephen King nods/clues because I am an extreme fan when it come to those.

I am also a Dead Head (Grateful Dead fan) and when they revealed Henry’s father’s name as Neal Cassady, I recognized it, simply because of his connection to them.
The Grateful Dead was a huge influence on LOST, too.

All this because K&H are LOST writers and Dead Heads and Stephen King fans!
I just happen to be a long time fan of some of the same genre’s they are 🙂

Ouatv1 has an easter egg list.
Don’t know how up to date it is, but, check it out anyway.

MysteryKat – love Person of interest as well 🙂
And, agree, most ppl, unless they’re LOST fans, won’t even get the LOST easter eggs.
The only reason non LOSTies even know about them are probably because of fan sites and LOSTies post about them…..we just can’t help it, it’s just soooo cool for us LOST fans 🙂

I don’t know how many ppl know this, but, if it weren’t for LOST, there probably wouldn’t be any OUAT.
K&H pitched OUAT to ABC 2 years before LOST even aired and ABC turned them down.
Given the fact that K&H were LOST writers and the huge cult following and success of LOST, ABC contacted K&H and reconsidered OUAT.
So, it’s thanks to LOST and it’s fans for making it such a phenomenon, that OUAT exists today 🙂

Not to mention the huge influence Stephen King had on LOST and on the creators.
    OUAT as well.
The reason Storybrooke is set in Maine is because of Stephen King.
There are tons of SK nods throughout OUAT, also.
The most prominent one being – Jefferson’s house is thee house used in SK’s The Dead Zone.
There are also props from DZ in Jefferson’s house and there are like 8 DZ eps titles that are very closely related to OUAT Eps titles.

The fact that he is important because he’s Henry’s father and Rumplestiltskin’s son is the exact reason to have him be Peter Pan.

These are the LOST writers. On LOST, names were extremely important clues.

They gave him the alias Neal Cassady for a reason.
Neal Cassady doesn’t have Lost Boy connections, he has many Peter Pan connections.

The real Neal Cassady was known as the Peter Pan of his generation, not the Lost Boy of his generation.

Rumple knew Bae went through “time and space” – he says as much. So, that’s how he would still have hopes of finding him.

    I am a die hard LOSTie/OUAT fan.
So, yeah, I agree, it’s hard to get anything past fans who are used to analyzing every detail.
But, I don’t really think anything can be considered a plot hole this early in the game.
We’re only 2/3 of the way through S2!

I posted this last week in another thread, but I figured I’d repost it here, since you said other theories are welcome 🙂

In the Disney film, when Jiminy opens the book to tell the story of Pinocchio, there are two other books visible on the shelf. One is Peter Pan and the other is Alice in Wonderland. So, there’s is a connection between the 3 stories – Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland.

We know August knows Neal/Bae and, if suspicions are correct, Peter Pan. We know there is some connection between Neal/Bae and Alice in Wonderland – we have the Cleaner’s and Hatter’s sign and the monacles in his apartment and there’s an Alice In Wonderland statue in Central Park.

So, I believe Neal/Bae knows Jefferson. I believe they met in Neverland at some point before the curse. Being that Bae (PP) was probably jumping between our world and Neverland for centuries, at this point, he already had his our world alias (Neal Cassady) and told Jefferson what his name was. Jefferson knows everything about Bae and probably Rumple and what happened between them – could be part of the falling out Rumple and Jefferson had and partly why Jefferson stopped his ‘work’ with Rumple (along with whatever happened to Grace’s mother).

So, let’s just say – Pinocchio knows Peter Pan, The Mad Hatter knows Peter Pan and I think The Mad Hatter and Pinocchio know each other, also.

I think August made at least one other trip to Storybrooke, prior to when we see him arrive in True North. I think it was before he ran into Neal/Bae. During that trip, August meets up with Jefferson. Jefferson tells him about Neal/Bae. August goes in search of him and finds Emma. When August returns to Storybrooke, 10 yrs later, he reconnects with Jefferson. Jefferson tells him about the book, because Jefferson wrote it (which is another theory, entirely).

They work together, August adds his story – at Jefferson’s house – he’s clearly not at his room at Granny’s when he does this. Jefferson is the one that tells August about the dagger. Jefferson is the one August is talking to on the phone when he says they have to excelerate the plan. August and Jefferson are the only 2 ppl in SB that are shown actively trying to convince Emma to believe. There are also deleted scenes showing August at Jefferson’s house.

Yeah, when we finally do meet ‘Peter Pan’ it will be in flashbacks to when Neal/Bae was 14 yrs old and living in Neverland for centuries as Peter Pan.

We will find out what happened as to why Bae/PP ended up coming to and staying in our world where he started to age normally and ultimately met Emma.

The connections to Bae/Neal are too overwhelming for him not to be Peter Pan.

    There actually was already.
    Last season on ‘Alcatraz’.
They had an eps with apples visible through the eps.
I’m pretty sure it was the same week that OUAT eps ‘An Apple As Red As Blood’ aired.

    Alcatraz was cancelled, though 🙁
    Shame. I like that show.

I am extremely excited, as we’ll, TheGoldenKey 🙂

I have loved your theory since last year!
Bae is going to turn out to be Peter Pan! YaY!

To make him anything less (a Lost Boy) is just not logical, imo.
    Bae is too important.
He’s the reason for everything Rumple did.
Bae is the reason for the whole show.

Peter Pan is an iconic character and K&H’s all time favorite story.
They made his ‘our world’ alias be Neal Cassady for a reason – because of the Peter Pan connections to the name.

    🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

In the Paleyfest interview it was confirmed that 1983 was the year of the curse.
    1983 + 28 = 2011.

    Stef –

I’m one of those LOSTies that feels everything in the LOST Universe was explained.
The few things that weren’t, the creators left that way on purpose, so we could use our imagination 🙂
Sure did work! Ppl still discuss LOST all these years after it went over.

I get what you’re saying, though.
OUAT’s version of ‘Our World’ obviously has some magic existing in it.

There’s a magical portal that allowed 2 fairy tale characters to come through and exist in our world.
There’s a strange little town town that never existed before 28 years ago that was frozen in time with many, many FTL characters living in it in a haze with fake memories.

I’d call that – at least –some magic existing in ‘Our World’.
