Maybe only children can’t leave once they set foot in NL. That may not apply to The Dark One.
Also, I think that Jefferson realm jumped to NL when he worked for Rumple.
Maybe he took the pic to PP. And, being that he realm jumped, he wasn’t stuck in NL.
It’s part of a theory I posted on here somewhere a while back about Jefferson writing the book.
He met Bae in NL and knows his story. Jefferson worked for Rumple a could have found out about the dagger, or Jefferson could have also ran into Hook in NL and found out about the dagger from him.
That could also tie in with how August knew about the dagger and who Bae was. August went to SB at least once before we see him arrive in True North (when Regina is talking to Emma in 7:15 am, August rides by and Regina says he looks familiar. Which is odd because August looks a lot different than when he was a child, so why wouldhe look familiar to Regina?). August met with Jefferson. Jefferson is the one who told August about the dagger and Bae and then August went to find Bae as we see in Tallahassee.[adrotate group="5"]gypsyParticipant1. Yes, it was Jefferson’s curse to remember….he tells Emma this in Hat Trick.
2. The time line is a bit confusing, but, considering that these tales have been around for centuries, I remember something Stephen King said a while back –
No matter how old a stoy is or how many times it’s told, there is always someone, somewhere that is hearing it for the first time.
In other words, every time a story is told or a book is open, the story starts over…..regardless of when.
MM said to Emma, I think in Ture North, that these stories (in Henry’s book) are not the traditional fairy tales.
Also, K&H said this (OUAT) is Emma’s story and it’s being told now……maybe the other ‘characters’ are in it being ‘retold’……..???
OUAT is literally about a story book.4. Regina told Archie that she brought who she wanted.
She probably brought Victor to punish him for what he did to her when it came to Daniel.gypsyParticipantMaybe the worlds Jefferson is refering to are not worlds in the sense that we think of a ‘world’.
Maybe he’s refering to books. They’ve already noded to Keasey’s One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Kerouas’s On the Road, Verne’s Mysterious Island and of course, Shelley’s Frankenstein.
There are a ton of Stephen King nods – one huge one – the fact that Jefferson lives in Johnny Smith’s house from SK’s The Dead Zone and has actual props from the tv series in his living room.
Would fit with what I said in another thread on here a few days ago (don’t remember where) about the ‘doors’ in Jefferson’s hat not really being actual ‘doors’ but books…going through a door is like opening a book.
Henry’s book is important to the plot. All the ppl are from stories and/or books.gypsyParticipantNow that we know it is real Victorian England, I’m trying to think along this line – it is Victorian England that the Darling’s exist in. They were written to exist in real Victorian England, but they didn’t exist in RVE until 1904.
Maybe, being from EF – a world that consists of fairy tale charaters, if they go through a vortex they may go to ‘our world’ (RVE) but it has to be written about in a story. Like a story character (Bae) needs a constant (like Desmond did) – another story character on the other side – in order to ‘come out’ in any given time/place.
Bae was able to come to our world later because Emma came here in 1983, so, now he could come to our world again…..something like that……grrrrr….it’s frustrating 🙂gypsyParticipantKat – yeah, I think you’re right about that.
Feel like I’m discussing an eps of LOST – trying to wrap my head around the ‘variables’ 🙂gypsyParticipantWell, there is still 6 months unaccounted for before he shows up in London…….
gypsyParticipantI don’t think we will see the fail safe again.
I think it was a one shot deal, like LOST’s fail safe.
That’s pretty much what a fail safe is, a last resort.
Emma and Regina took the power from it, rendering it useless – like Desmond did on LOST.
There are several LOST parallels throughout OUAT, so, I’m thinking this was one of them.gypsyParticipantI was freaked out, too….and I don’t freak out easily!
Unless I see a clown *shivers* 🙂gypsyParticipantMaybe, at one point, they took the seer to NL (when she was little) and because of her ability, her eyes were removed.
The eyes in her palms could have something to do with the shadow or Peter, himself.
Shadows don’t have eyes, but this one has glowing eye sockets.
Could the shadow and/or Peter have been able to see throught the eyes in the seers hands?
And then possibly have been able to see visions that Rumple saw once Rumple took over the seer’s power?
Could that be part of what makes ‘him’ “Someone we all should fear”?gypsyParticipantSo, Peter encountered the seer at some point and she gave him the same message that she gave Rumple -that a boy would be his undoing also?
And it’s the same boy that was prophecied to be The Dark One’s undoing?
I still don’t get how Peter would know what Henry would have looked liked 300 years before Henry was born. -
