So, seems like Regina will be like Desmond. She’ll survive the failsafe and Storybrooke won’t be blown to Kingdom Come, like the island wasn’t.
SB will get a course correction.

Not too sure what you meant by that (still in full form), but, hey, you enjoy the finale, too 🙂

If the electromgnetic build up wasn’t released, the ‘cork’ that was at the source of the island would have become dislodged, destroying the island. Detonating Jughead cancelled that out.
I, too am a Die Harrd LOSTie 🙂 and I’m not here to debate LOST, either 🙂
Everything I wrote is canon – confirmed by Damon and/or Carlton, years ago.

According to Kelvin, using the failsafe key would ‘make it all go away’ and destroy the island.
It didn’t. All it did was realease the electromagnetic build up, making the need to enter the #’s and push the button, unnecessary.
What actually happened when Des turned the key was – he activated his own ability to shift his conscientiousness and he became “unstuck” in time.
This enabled him to fulfill his destiny, making Des the actual failsafe, not the key.
So, if Regina’s failsafe is anything along those lines, the black diamond won’t really do any harm if the person (Emma?Henry?) who is the actual failsafe does what they need to do to fulfill their destiny and prevent Storybrooke from being destroyed.

Desmond’s failsafe key didn’t do anything except produce a brilliant light and release the built up electromagnetism.
It was determined that Desmond – himself – wasm in fact, the failsafe.
So, I’m thinking a ‘person’ will be the real failsafe.
    Possibly Henry…???

Yes, the “final preparations” are one of the mysteries that stiil need to be addressed.
Still doesn’t make me think Blue wrote the book, though.
Jefferson had a whole conversation with Emma about the importance of books.
Jefferson and August were the only two ppl in SB actively trying to make sure Emma believed. No one else in SB, besides Henry, was.
I think Jefferson is who August called and said “We have to excellerate the plan”.

Interesting ideas about Jefferson! One question though…when he arrives in SB with his memories intact and confined to his house…how does he know the parts for the end of the book either?

Like I said, Regina probably told him. Reminiscing/bragging about the past. ‘The Boss’ says it best in ‘Glory Days’. And they referenced Bruce in ‘Welcome to Storybrooke’. It’s human nature. Jefferson had his memories, he was confined to his house, he’s the only one she actually talk to safely about her “Glory Days”.

True and thats a sweet theory, but it’s also just as possible that he was simply just a member of Hooks crew.

The fact that they show Bae arrive in Kensington Gardens, the name Jellicoe on the cart when Bae is outside the Darling’s house….all clues connecting him to Peter Pan.
Also, names are VERY important clues.
They didn’t give him the alias “Neal Cassady” for no reason.
The real Neal Cassady has a ton of Peter Pan connections that also relate to NY/Manhattan/Geronimo Jackson/The Grateful Dead/LOST – all included in OUAT.
Not to mention the One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest 🙂
