ParticipantI don’t think Hook is suicidal. He wanted Rumple to kill him to show to Belle how evil Rumple is. He wanted Rumple to kill him to make a point, he didn’t want to take his own life, otherwise he would have done that.

ParticipantI made a comic strip using photos from Thing you love most. I don’t think I can post the actual pictures here as they’re humongous. But I will link to them.

But Regina has sacrificed children before. All the children she sent to the Blind Witch were eventually eaten. Hansel and Gretal are the only ones who survived.
How is that Regina’s fault? It was the blind witch who ate them.

But with Rumpel, we at least learned that he ended the ogre wars and freed all the child soldiers after he became the Dark One in “The Return.”
Yes Rumple the babynapper was such a kind and friendly man.

And bringing up the evil deeds of another villain doesn’t really excuse the things that Regina has done.
No and I never said it did.
@The Fairest wrote:
No one was arguing whether or not Regina was more evil than Rumpel. The main debate was between Regina and Emma. So using the argument that “Rumpel is more evil than Regina” is kind of weak.
I know that. My argument was that a lot of people bash Regina for her evil deeds here yet no one seems to bash Rumple’s deeds, which IMO, are worse.

Participant😆 Regina would win.

Was anyone else hoping it was going to be Baelfire (how ever his name is spelled) in the hold? That would certainly have gotten Gold’s attention.
But Cora and Hook don’t want attention. They want stealth and information.

ParticipantNo that’s not what I’m saying. I’m comparing her and Rumple and saying that Regina is bad but Rumple is worse. Regina wouldn’t let Henry die, but Rumple would have.
They are similar in the way that they wouldn’t let anyone stand in the way of their children, but Rumple had done it on a much larger scale. Regina just went after Snow and Charming, while Rumple pulled strings all over FTL to get to our world.
And Regina has so far actually done things to redeem herself. Gold hasn’t showed any interest in that and keeps using magic and kidnapping people. He was even about to let Emma and Snow die on their way back from FTL through the portal but Regina made a choice to negate that magic so they could pass through.January 7, 2013 at 1:48 pm in reply to: THE CRICKET GAME : FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS #167293hellraiser-89
ParticipantThere’s not enough words to praise Lana’s brilliant acting in this episode. She got to show a long range of Regina’s emotions. Technically she got to play three different Regina’s too, EQ, Mayor and Cora impersonating her.
I have to say this episode was the first that I actually liked Emma in and wasn’t just indifferent about her. In the first half at least. When she started arguing with Regina I found myself back at my previous standpoint.
It’s annoying how inconsistent characters are and do whatever needs to be done for the plot regardless of previous episodes. I’m thinking about David here, since he’s been there when Snow and Emma where away in FTL and Regina did show him several times that she was changing compared to in this episode how he swiftly made his mind up about her.
And Rumple. He was about to let Regina get hit by the arrows, which would have defeated his entire time manipulating her to cast the curse. Sure BF stopped the arrows but what if she hadn’t? I guess he would’ve just started over from scratch with a new apprentice.
Emma’s lie detector power seems to be inconsistent as well. She saw Hook lied immediately in FTL for instance.I loved Regina and i liked Hook and Cora’s scenes. It was fun to see Zelenka appear as the fish guy lol. So far we’ve had portals, Atlantis’ shield, a Wraith, Beckett and Zelenka so I wonder what the next Stargate related thing will be 😛
As for the whole debate here about Regina being evil, which I have admittedly not read through that throughly, it’s funny how everyone’s quick to say she’s bad for Henry and she’s dangerous to him and so on. Because let’s face it, it wasn’t Regina’s fault that Henry died in the finale. It was Gold’s. He was the one who trapped Emma in the elevator and he was the one who prevented them from getting to Henry in time, all to get his magic back. Regina just benefited from that too, but she would never endanger Henry’s life to get magic.
I know there’s a lot of Dearies on this board, and I don’t hate Rumple or anything like that. He’s one of my favorites actually. But there’s also no doubt in my mind that he’s the most evil character on this show. -
