ParticipantAlice took a heart. Wow. Alright, then. How did Rumpel convince her to do that?

ParticipantI did like the sisterly moments with Regina and Zelena. I liked the moment with Zelena and Robyn. I even liked the moment with Zelena and Chad. I just felt like Zelena’s “redemption” is just really unearned. Her asking Rumpel for help is ridiculous as a plot point. This really was just let’s rewrite Zelena. She is Kelly now. And let’s just give her a send off. That is what this was.
Also, Hansel was Henry’s friend for many years and yeah, he killed people, mostly witches who may have all be bad for all we know, and now he is just dead. Just like that. Is that going to be brought up again? Probably not. I think Henry would be upset about this. It is just a really awkward plot point.
Though, as always, my biggest issue with this episode was the writing, some of the dialogue, some of the plot points, were just like eh, alright then. The stupidity of some of the characters, especially Henry. Ella’s continued uselessness. The randomness of the some of the characters like Facilier, and being able to connect this Hansel with Henry’s friend Jack. Regardless, i do think the acting in this episode was really good and i rarely think that.
I do think that if this episode was written outside of the context of we are both, Zelena is Kelly, it would be much better. Free choice is a whole thing that is important in writing character and these writers should do more of that.
This was definitely one of the better episodes of the season, but no episode, for me, can just be taken out of the context of the terrible world building and the problems with consistency in character, their motivations and their choices. The show is bad, so everything sort of lives in the nonsense that is the show, but that isn’t exactly the individual episodes fault.

ParticipantI hate the bizarre conversations where Zelena and Regina are calling the characters their fake names. Zelena calling her daughter by her fake name is ridiculous. They are doing that because they named the baby Robyn and it is confusing. Zelena and Regina calling Rumpel, Weaver, is stupid. It is like using Mary Margaret all over again.
The flashbacks were boring and pointless as usual.
I can’t believe that Henry is really figuring stuff out because of a blood test. Though, i guess in the end, he is still completely clueless. Hopefully, he will talk to Regina about it all. I am glad that Zelena is gone from the screentime using which i would rather they give to Rumpel, Regina, Robyn, and Alice.
Rumpel helping Zelena because that is the only way he is going to see Belle seems ridiculous. She killed his son. He doesn’t owe her anything. At least, he barely helped her by just giving her that necklace and a pep talk which really didn’t have all that much to do with the plot of this episode.
I did like the line about the little bit of evil inside that stays so that you know how far you’ve come. Of course, the villains on this show are never shown to change and make better decisions. They are just randomly rewritten at intervals. There is no growth and decision making shown on screen. They pretty much just rewrote Zelena by having her be Kelly. And excuse me while i vomit for the use of the we can be both line all again. Just stop.
Facilier is a weird character. We know he wants the dagger. Regina and him have a relationship. Prince Naveen is working with him for some reason. I can’t remember why or what he has on him that would cause Naveen to do that. Now, he just killed Hansel with some evil magic, just like that. Though, i am glad Hansel is gone. Facilier is a weird character without enough backstory to figure out. He is just there to do random evil til the end of the show.
The plots of these episodes need to be smoothed out instead of being all disconnected and disjointed. The problem always comes back to the writers lack of ability to write character with good motivations and having that drive the story. It is just a random series of unfortunate events.

ParticipantYeah, right. There is no way this episode is going to remotely be as good as the Season 1 finale. This show just isn’t building to anything, so it could never have that sort of emotional payoff. They might use some cool sets or outfits, but that will be it. Though, Colin wasn’t there for Season 1, so what does he know.

ParticipantYeah, I could see them doing some dream thing just to give the fans of that something for the end.

ParticipantIt isn’t outlaw queen though unless it is real Regina and real Robin. I don’t know if the fans have a name for the evil half of Regina and the fake Robin, but they are different characters.
It is easily possible that Lana isn’t exactly aware of that. Though, it easily possible that she is aware and this is some true dream or a flashback or time travel or a corporeal visit of the dead.

ParticipantI know. How are they going to have real Robin? Especially, since we know they are in the wish realm, or seem to be in the wish realm. Maybe some of this is a dream or maybe Lana just doesn’t know what she is saying.

ParticipantIt makes me laugh that she she is trying to do an actual female centric fairytale story.

ParticipantFor me, critical roles sounds like nothing in a show where nothing ever matters. But if we pretend that something is actually going to happen, besides with Rumpel, then information can be critical.

ParticipantThis show barely has fight scenes, so it isn’t like there is going to be some big rescue
I don’t even think there’s going to be any sort of villain v. hero fight in the finale at all. Gothel is done by 720, iirc. I think the final two episodes are far more character driven than they are plot driven.
Yeah, that’s true that Gothel is gone. We know that they seem to be in the wish realm though, so there could be trouble because of that. I wonder if it was wish Henry in Storybrooke on the horse. I do think that there will be some sort of drama. The writers just don’t know how to write character. I do think that Rumpel is the one who is most likely to get some character stuff at the end.
