Yes, but they always call them a first look. It is different because they do already have Emma, but they still had to do it before Jennifer was off for the summer. They have had months to rethink what they want her to look like. I mean it could be what she looks like, but it also could not. I think i saw that picture with her in the diner a really long time ago.
I am not suggesting that these aren’t ABC shots or anything. They clearly are, but i am just not sure what we can know about how she will be on the show because of this. Emma is the dark one, yeah. I think i knew that when they released that Emma i going to become evil promo so long ago. These first looks are just always so cheesy. I mean they hadn’t even written a script back then or even had their writer weeks.
[adrotate group="5"]But wasn’t even Elsa’s outfit different at the end of Season 3 as it was in Season 4. Wasn’t Hook’s hook on the wrong hand. I just think that we can’t quite know. I remember that promo commercial where they showed Emma with a sword and Emma protecting Henry from Regina and that really never went anywhere in Season 2. I mean it could be the outfit, but it might not be. We don’t know.
If they filmed a scene in April, it might just be one of those like promo things like with Hook that was not Colin. Or the one with Ariel and Grumpy. Those had no basis in the show or how they were in the show. It was just like hey look, Hook, Ariel. So this might just be hey look dark one Emma and have no basis on the show.
I am not sure if Emma really does friends. Just because she kept Henry doesn’t mean that had to have completely changed. Maybe Emma’s first memory was just she was moving because she is in New York after all not Boston.
Well since True North is probably one of my top three episodes ever i am not sure that we will be seeing eye to eye. What has been good about this season? It has been illogical. The characters are inconsistent. None of the good guys had a character arc. They overdid it with Regina. They made her a complete psycho, even using magic on Henry, and then the family is still hanging out with her. It is ridiculous. The characters say one thing in one episode and it is completely dropped and they are saying something completely different a few episodes later. The show just doesn’t make sense anymore.
The protection spell has to imply only to Snow and Charming because Regina was going to try and kill Emma as a baby right before the curse.
I actually think that Snow just wants to go where Emma goes, it isn’t that she doesn’t want to go back to fairytale land. She wants her family to be safe and together. I think that is all she is thinking about with regards to this plot, so if they decide they are safer in the Enchanted Forest then i could see them making that call.
I still think they would be safer in the Enchanted Forest all living together under one roof with guards and friends all working together. There may be ogres, but there is danger in the real world for sure. Driving in a car is probably more dangerous then ogres. And Regina can just walk in and take Henry if she wants to in the real world, at least in the other world there might be a way to set up some sort of protection or at least obstacles.
I think they have just made a bit of a mess of the timeline, but it is what it is. I think that the first day of the curse which was October 23, 1983 according to the newspaper.

And we saw it was dark out the night before when the curse was rolling over Owen and his father so that would make Emma’s birthday the night before October 22, 1983.
That fits with the idea that Snow was doing the same thing with the bird on the same days. Those were both October 23rds. Emma was 17 when she had Henry in like the spring and then turned 18 in October when he was like six months old.
I really don’t think it makes any sense that Henry could now be 12, but they might do it anyways. I counted 11 candles.
I am a little late on the commenting, but i really like these spoiler pictures. I always enjoy seeing interaction between Snow and Regina. I really think this is probably after Snow banishes Regina. I do not think it is when she is the hag because they would just put her in make up. And Snow could go visit Regina because Regina could not harm her at this point.
Though just knowing there will be a one on one conversation between Snow and Regina in this ep is at least enough to know there is one good scene. Hopefully there will be something good on the Storybrooke side.
