ParticipantI do feel that Pinocchio should be given some leeway as a child, even though he is responsible for his actions, he probably was not aware of the long term consequences to leaving Emma. And he seemed to be afraid which is all reasonable. I don’t think it is because kids are stupid though and don’t understand logic. I agree that the scene with Emma and Pinocchio was too short when he left. It just seemed forced. He went from wanting to stay with Emma to leaving just like that and i know we are supposed to take into consideration that he was a follower in the past and just ran off before, but it still seemed quick.
I just think they need to do more with the character before Emma forgives him and they will have to do more with Geppetto as well.

ParticipantI actually felt like Mary was very Snow like in both the conversation with David in Ep 19 and the conversation with Regina in Ep 20. She felt very much herself to me.

ParticipantEmma ran for a bit, but she isn’t going to keep running. I think it is completely unreasonable that Emma would believe and completely reasonable that she would be scared. I think that it has to be something big, something more then people just saying they think it is real for her to believe. And being scared in the moment is not being cowardly, in my opinion. It is sort of like if you do one evil act you are not just evil, but if all you do is evil acts, causing pain and suffering, then i say a character is evil.

ParticipantIs Jefferson going to be in both of the next two episodes?

ParticipantI think Emma’s reaction is very realistic and for her to believe easily would not make sense in my opinion. I do think she is scared out of her mind though because she just can’t consider everyone needing her and that it is her responsibility to save everyone, but i think she will overcome that fear and do it.

ParticipantI don’t know. Mary doesn’t care about Regina, so it is a lot hard for Regina to hurt her, but Mary thought David loved her, she still thinks he loved her, and yet he didn’t trust her. It hurts a lot more when someone you know and care about does something to you then someone who doesn’t.

ParticipantBeing scared is not being a coward, in my opinion. She is going to do the right thing in the end. It isn’t like Rumpel who gets scared and always does the wrong thing.

ParticipantI disagree that kids are incapable of logical thought or understanding. Kids are people too. Smart people.

ParticipantAnd it is easy to say that you would save your child over the fate of the world, but i don’t think it is that simple either. And Pinocchio could have been fine after Emma came back and saved everyone. We don’t know. I don’t think it is simple to say what anyone would do in this situation. It may scare you to death to think about losing your child, but when weighed against the fate of the world we can only hope that people might do the right thing. And really i think Geppetto caused great harm to both Pinocchio and Emma by sending them through. It is not that simple, but it is also not easy to say that sending Pinocchio through was the right thing to do either.

ParticipantPinocchio’s story was in the book. Henry said that it was a new story about Pinocchio after the story we know. That was my understanding of what he said. The new story was about Pinocchio being put in the wardrobe and the end of that story wasn’t finished.
