Well the mayor is fully aware. She has all of her memories and knows what is going on completely i think. Also Henry was only gone for like half a day and the mayor is not hazy or forgetful about anything so she wouldn’t forget. And i think that they just didn’t notice that Ashley was pregnant for 28 years. It is like they did not age and didn’t notice. They are not aware of the passage of time in any normal way.
And i think Henry is aware completely and did notice. He told Emma that no one can remember their pasts, but Henry isn’t going to know everyone and he is just a kid so he isn’t going to be aware or know a lot of adults. I am surprised that they haven’t talked about his school experience with different students in his class every year because Henry would be the only one aging and all the other kids would be stuck in the same year, but he might just not have any proof. Like there might not be photos and such. And there is a lot of fake information out there like the files about Hansel and Gretel and the pictures of David with Kathryn so it is difficult.
And it is such an insane thing to believe i completely understand why Emma doesn’t. But i do think that it is just that the characters didn’t age for 28 years and just didn’t notice. Henry aged and noticed though and the Queen has her memories, but didn’t age.
[adrotate group="5"]hjbauParticipantI think Rumpel is Evil.
We don’t really know the situation of the Ogre wars. It may have been die or fight for all we know. The guard that was collecting the children was not good, but i don’t think taking the children to fight is in and of itself evil. We just don’t know enough about the situation.
I would say that burning down the Duke’s house as a 5.
Killing the dark one as a 5 because he meant to kill him and was not tricked into killing him. He didn’t know that the consequences of killing him would be that he would become the new dark one, but he did mean to kill him.
Killing the guards a 5 because with the exception of the head guard, who seems like a nasty piece of work, we just don’t know enough about the situation that killing all of them seems like the right thing to do. And Rumpel could have ordered them away instead of killing them because he had the upper hand.I don’t think we know whether or not the Fairy Godmother is evil or not. Rumpel said she was evil. I am going to give that a 5 only because it seems unnecessary to kill her just to take the wand, but maybe not.
I think the reason why people think Rumpel is not evil is because it seems like he might be working to end the curse. The thing is that may be for his complete self interest. We just don’t know what game he is playing. He may want to die so that he is not the dark one. He may want to kill Regina. He may want to destroy the world. I just don’t think we know enough at this point.
I think even if he helps Emma end the curse the way he is going about it is evil so he is evil.
hjbauParticipantI know that it is a reference to what Midas said, but Midas said “Careful, remember what happened to Frederick.” All i am saying is that the episode is called “What Happened to Frederick” and not Whatever.

hjbauParticipantHis name come out in the next episode. Maybe they think the Stranger is the one who is robbing Gold.
hjbauParticipantI think for me the idea that these are the writers of LOST where everything was real that happened to those characters makes me think that everything is real here. Also we have seen that there are objects from the fairytale world in Storybrooke like Snow’s glass coffin, the unicorn mobile, Snow’s ring, the genie’s lamp. And in the episode where the queen killed the Sheriff she actually held his heart in her hand and squeezed it and it killed him, so the Evil Queen did actually pull his heart from his chest and put it in a drawer. That happened.
hjbauParticipantI think that the characters have been stuck in storybrooke not aging doing about the same thing from day to day, year to year, not exactly the same thing but sort of the mundane existence of life. Henry being in town has effect it because things happened like Snow gave Henry the book.
And i really think that the answer to why don’t they realize that they aren’t aging is simple they just don’t notice, the curse causes them to not notice. Henry noticed, but no one else does.
hjbauParticipantRegina “There is something about him…something familiar.”
Emma “He must be one of the untold millions you cursed.”
Regina “What?”I laughed out loud. So funny because it is true. And the look on Regina’s face.
hjbauParticipantI think the episode is called “What Happened to Frederick” and not “Whatever Happened to Frederick” sort of like What Kate Did.
hjbauParticipantIf Regina became Queen when Snow was a child then it could still only be between 10 and 15 years before curse and Regina still looks the same so i would imagine sooner rather then later. She seems to be wearing the same outfit she was wearing in True North. But even if Snow was still a child during the time of Belle and the Beast this could at the longest be 15 years before curse and i think since Regina looks the same it is most likely sooner then that.
hjbauParticipantI would think taking the book is a negative, It is taking away Henry’s source of information.
