Honestly, I imagine that S6 (If that is the last season) is going to be about the main characters going back to the EF one last time, perhaps ending with a way for them to go between their homes (EF and Storybrook)
No idea how that would work, though.
[adrotate group="5"]The fact that they are keeping so tight lipped on the character, I’m going to say there is more to her than what they are letting on, solely being a love interest for Henry.

I really hope they don’t have Elsa related to Regina…or for that matter, anyone in the current cast. It’s honestly just becoming convoluted. “Snow’s second cousin married Regina’s great aunt, and their daughter married a man….”
My guess? Bae could have spent time in Arendelle after Neverland, and somehow (The Black Fairy?) ended up being sent to our world. Rumple, hearing that his son is there, goes to the kingdom and demands Elsa to return him. Because he is not there anymore, Elsa cannot, enraging Rumple who banishes her to the vault, events happen with Anna and the kingdom, and now it is destroyed and Anna gone.
Hence Elsa being more than pissed.
Perhaps they aren’t going to make Elsa a villain, at least in the traditional sense that we’ve seen with Pan/WWW.
My headcannon? While searching for a way to find Bae years ago, Rumple destroyed the kingdom of Arendelle and trapped Elsa in the vault to ensure she couldn’t stop him. Now that she’s out, she wants to find her sister. Rumple, being that he now knows the pain of losing his son, begrudgingly decides to help Elsa as a way to redeem himself – especially after Belle finds out about Zelena.
I have no opinion, namely because the child is going to get less screentime than Henry has this past half season.
So, Emma (At least only her) goes through the time travel portal back in time, and Snow Drifts is going through history (Snow Falls)?
At least, that’s what I could pick up.
