Ok, and I’m just going to copy this part of the A&E Hollywood Reporter interview because I’m squeeing like a child
Hook wasn’t happy when Emma said she was thinking of leaving town. What is he going to do to ensure that that doesn’t happen?……..Kitsis: He is getting fed up because it’s like the entire world cannot resist my charms, why is one person I fall in love with so resistant to me. He is becoming frustrated because he has declared that he will win her heart and she has declared it’s going to be very hard. They are going to be put in a lot of danger this week and we’ll see if romance can even rear its head…. But I’d be depressed if it didn’t……

Appearantly I should be offended that my husband compliments me when I get dressed up, had to work to win me over because I had a terrible first marriage (my current hubby and I were in the friend zone for years) and didn’t give up when he first started flirting with me but I didn’t reciprocate, and makes decisions about my son’s well-being and safety when I am not around because he is not his biological father.
I’m learning a lot while watching this show. I thought I was a mature, responsible, almost 42 year old, happily married woman with a 12 year old son but, fortunately, I am learning that I have the brain of a teenager, am only interested in hot guys (my husband is almost 50, bald, overweight, and all of 5’7″), have no idea what is really important in a long term relationship (I will be married for 10 years this year and have known my hubby for 15), should be offended whenever my husband compliments me, have ruined any chance of ever REALLY being happy because I didn’t marry my first love – the guy I dated when I was 16 and haven’t spoken to in 26 years (but have a HISTORY with), and have destined my son to a life of misery and doom because the ONLY way he can be happy is for me to be married to his biological father – who chose to take off when my son was a baby.
But, hey – it’s good to know all of this now, while I’m still young enough to correct the obvious mess I’ve made of my life.
P.S. Have I said I can’t FREAKIN’ wait until Sunday???? Woo Hoo!!!!
Ok I was literally sitting here laughing out loud when I read this, @Rumplegoldfan! And it’s so very true. Seriously if I married the first guy I loved? Well, I’d pretty much be getting cheated on regularly, and probably have been reduced to not much more than a carpet for him to walk all over. But….HISTORY. Life does not end when you meet your first love. And your first love might just be that – your FIRST love. Just because it doesn’t work out, and dare I say, you fall in love again, doesn’t mean you didn’t love that person, it just means they weren’t the right one for you.
The sneak peeks!! Ok, I am so extremely excited! I’m trying to keep my excitement in check just in case A&E want to screw with CSers but those sneak peeks did NOT help tone down my excitement! And yeah unless you’re blind you can see Emma clearly enjoyed Hook complimenting her in her dress. You don’t smile and lean in when you don’t want to accept someone’s compliment. Time to face facts kids. Emma’s into Hook, she’s always been into Hook and once she manages to not be completely terrified by how into Hook she is, we are going to see Emma – as they say on Tumblr – true love that Hook so hard!!!
Haha, as if we didn’t know ABC already wants to have our pirate’s babies – more proof they are CSers too!

We’re doing some venting now but this thread is most definitely a safe haven! It is, of course, a CS thread but we talk about all kinds of topics – OUAT related and even sometimes not…if you feel like you want to talk about something but are a little apprehensive about jumping into chat or even the other threads, I think I can say for everyone else on our thread, please feel free to post your thoughts for discussion.
@ilayda, your thread about Emma’s behavior was actually what jump started me into realizing if we want some change in the forum, and maybe to promote some pro-CS/Hook discussion, we’ve got to get out there and just post it – so thanks, I so appreciate it! I posted on your thread and literally thought how great it was to just get my thoughts about our Emma off my chest.
If you get chat at the right time, it can be fun. I usually hop on after I get out of work (I’m on the US East Coast) and there’s usually a good variety of people there. And there are still some people I have to steer clear of but if I’m not too fed up I can usually let it go in one ear and out the other…everyone’s right! We should make our (positive) presence known! In chat and the threads. There’s power in numbers, people!
The thing that upsets me here is the Hook/Neal comparison. It seems ok to bash Hook and I’ve seen plenty of it. But – and maybe I have ‘shipper goggles’ on but I don’t think so – I think we keep the anti-Neal stuff to a minimum, even in this thread. Most of our opinions actually range from blah-Neal to I-like-Neal here. And those of us that dislike Neal seem to leave those opinions on other forums and threads. So when you see people openly bashing your character, it just comes across as mean, which is discouraging.
Luckily the Rumbellers seem to be coming around – agreed, PoM & Angiebelle especially! 🙂 So I’m thinking if some of the Rumbellers can ‘forgive’ Hook, then I’m hoping SFers can come around too, eventually. Especially since Rumple/Hook were flat out enemies, and Neal/Hook’s relationship was a lot more complex and a lot less antagonistic (when they weren’t acting like 12 year olds with their 1st crush…)
I get the whole ‘Emma’s been through a lot, abandonment issues’ etc..but really they ALL have been through a lot and have abandonment issues so – to be blunt – It’s time for Emma to suck it up and grow up. Her arguments and issues are wearing thinner the more backstory we get on other characters. I think a lot of her behavior in the last few episodes has been uncalled for. You push people away enough and youre going to be right that everyone leaves because they are eventually going to give up.
It can be hard here, I’m not going to lie. It’s pretty anti-CS, to the point where I feel like sometimes we have to censor ourselves in our own thread. It’s gotten worse. I used to like going to other ships’ threads, because it’s good to get different opinions, and even see the show through other shippers’ goggles if you will, but the stuff that is said sometimes….it’s like they’re no longer shipping threads, they’re anti-Hook threads. Even just yesterday someone said “is it only CSers here in chat?” … seriously, I had to get out. I don’t need to feel like I have the plague. I have gotten into some pretty ridiculous conversations in non-shipping threads because I’m just not going to put up with every single thread being anti-Hook.
But it does seem to be dying down…the mods do a good job of keeping people in line, things can get out of control quickly and that’s not anyone’s fault. I think the hiatus might do some good with the fandom, and let people just relax a little. But yeah….prolly won’t be hanging around chat after Sunday’s episodes, I’ll be honest.
But blah, enough of that. I’m not going to go into this Sunday’s eps with too much expectation other than it has to at least have some pretty good CS moments! I’m not going to think about TLK or whether Emma finally lets her walls down…but she had better at least treat our pirate like a human being after he apparently jumps through a PORTAL with/for her! And the ONE thing I hope we get to see — Emma’s face when she sees Hook all fancified and Hook’s face when he sees Emma in that dress. Those looks alone will make this finale amazing!

No, they do not ‘tank’ the ratings. The ratings are steady. They always have been. Jolly Roger was also on during spring break which accounts for the lower numbers for that specific episode.
