ONCE - Once Upon a Time podcast
Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
Thanks for posting, Riddleraven! I did summarize some problems with the episode, but I felt bad that by that point I couldn’t remember who had said what so that I could give credit. Sorry! 🙂
We didn’t get to talk about Emma’s behavior. I was thinking we would read your message in the show and it would jog my memory of what I wanted to talk about. Emma is, by and large, a moral character, but I get the feeling her morals are a tad wishy-washy. Like you said, I think they were trying to explain her behavior by talking about love making people do stupid things. At least her actions had some very real consequences. As Regina pointed out, Emma has lost the moral “high road.”
[Wild crackpot rabbit trail: what if Emma has to kill Rumpelstiltskin to protect Henry and becomes the Dark One? :P]
As far as the “super power” is concerned, they also mentioned love blinding people to the truth. Then again I have to wonder if maybe she actually did figure out at some point that she was being deceived and is just playing along for now.
I love your idea that she may want the rest of the land for something!
I’m officially calling him Damian from now on.
I like titles, and even looked ahead at titles while “Lost” was still on, so I like them where they are, personally speaking. 🙂
Nice! It actually even showed me that she said “destroy … if it is the last thing I do” in both Fairytale and Storybrooke. 🙂

I just added Hans Christian Andersen to the poll.
I think changing the poll removed our answers. 🙂
I’m hoping he’s not a Grimm descendent, primarily because that’s a little too much like the show “Grimm.” However, not taking the other show into consideration, it’s a cool idea. 🙂
The main reason I ruled out future-Henry is because I definitely think he’s the boy who found Emma. If that boy was only seven years old, it’s already too late for that to be Henry.
Actually, whereas in “Lost” an entire season could span just a month or a week, “Once” doesn’t seem to be moving much slower in the story than we are in our time. For example, the next episode takes place around Valentine’s Day, which is when it will air. If Jared Gilmore continues to play Henry, that would actually stop them from jumping too far ahead in the story … unless Henry is somewhere else ….
