OK, So Rumple adds Matricide to his list of crimes. He has now killed his father, his mother, and his wife, along with many, many others. But he ends up with a clean slate.
[adrotate group="5"]Old Henry doesn’t look that much older than younger Henry. Jared Gilmore has been acting younger than he is for a long time. Couldn’t he act older for a while? I’m thinking like the end of the Harry Potter movies with grown up Harry.
Of course you can use any old thing to record events, but that’s not what make you the Author. The Author is defined as being chosen by the Quill to record with it using special ink.
Well, we know the quill is special. But we never saw the apprentice giving magical ink to the Author. It could be that the magical ink is only for making up stories.
Do you need special ink to record history, or just to change the story? Could Henry just use regular old ink? Or squid ink?
(The answer is yes. You don’t need a special pen to record events. He can break out his crayolas if he wants).I think Isaac wrote himself to other realms. If true, Henry is unable to do that since he snapped the Quill.
I don’t know about that. If his job was to record the stories, I think that might require him to travel there to be a witness. He didn’t write himself into Cruella’s story at first. He just showed up there.
Of course, then again, the apprentice opened up the portal for him when he first got hired. Maybe these things are all handled through the home office.I think Rumple loathes his cowardly, weak self. He needs power to pretend that he’s not that person. He feels naked and vulnerable without it.
But it’s not like he has any special powers, though.
Isaac could travel between realms somehow. This is a great power. I wonder if Henry will have this ability? Could he take them all back to the Enchanted Forest?
Will he himself have to travel to EF, Wonderland, Scary Black and White land, Oz, etc to record their stories?
I think he’ll still have that selfish/greedy streak in him, though.
Having a selfish/greedy streak is one thing. Even Regina still flirts with the darkness and greedy nature herself. But it’s acting on those inner tendencies that will drive me up a wall if they make him power hungry devil man again.
I think the show has made a definite distinction between Regina’s character and Rumple’s regarding their ability to redeem themselves.
