ParticipantYeah, I remember this discussion from before. The end of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has a passage that eludes to Alice’s sister visiting Wonderland herself. Before Once: Wonderland was announced I was firmly ensconced in the headcanon that Alice was Grace’s mother. Now that we know Alice and Cyrus are evidently truly in love, Grace’s mother has to come from someplace else. So Alice’s sister is the next in line for my postulating.
Don’t know quite yet where I am on the Alice’s sister=Red Queen=Grace’s mother, but I’m going to have an open mind.

ParticipantIn my imagination, Regina casts a spell on herself to be able to breathe underwater. That spell could include some CGI tentacles.
Did she eat some gillyweed? Maybe stole some from Rumple’s potions supplies….
Sorry, confusing my fandoms. 😛

ParticipantThey’re not going to just skip Storybrooke after they’re done with Neverland because it’s under a protection spell. The thing about villains like Regina and Rumple is that they need subjects to lord their power over. Without subjects, they’re just nobodies with psychotic disorders. And their subjects are currently all living in Storybrooke. Belle is there and if Rumple survives there is no way he’s not going to try to go back to her after all they’ve been through. Also, Charming and Snow aren’t going to abandon their friends and everyone they know.
Like was mentioned earlier, the Enchanted Forest is a wasteland right now. I see them going back eventually, but I bet there are quite a few peasants who want to stay in Storybrooke. Life was hard in FTL for the poor. At least in Maine they have electricity and indoor plumbing. If I were a peasant I’d want to stay in Storybrooke. Heck, in “We are Both” they were all gung-ho on forgetting their fairytale pasts before Charming talked them out of it. I bet if given the choice of living safely in our world if there is a way (safely being the key word) or returning to the old way of life, they’d pick Storybrooke.
They’re still filming in Steveston. They’re doing exterior shots in town and Adam said they’re not abandoning the town at all. Steveston has been good to the show. They’re doing the interior shots in a studio but they still haven’t completely let the town go.

ParticipantHaha, Adam should do it just for that reason.
CS shippers are going to be mad no matter what if Hookriel were to happen. If it did happen, they’ll bombard him with hate tweets about leading the CS ship on with parallels, innuendos and baiting. There’s no way to avoid it. Same goes if Hooked Queen or any other ship Hook could have would happen. You can’t please everyone.
At least with “The Little Mermaid”, the writers can point to the fact that the original was indeed quite different than the Disney version. Look at how they’re twisting Peter Pan. I think some percentage of fandom who were raised on the romance of Eric and Ariel will be highly put out and vocal, but this is a show of twisted fairy tales. It would be surprising, but not shocking of Eric isn’t Ariel’s ultimate true love.

ParticipantAm I the only Hookriel fan that is glad that Hook isn’t Eric?
I never really wanted Eric and Hook to be one and the same. I’d rather Eric be someone from her past and she doesn’t become romantically involved with Hook until after all the Captain Swan stuff is sorted out. I’d like to see her introduced for the two episodes listed, go away for a few and then come back in the back eleven. She’s too iconic to have just a two episode arc, so I predict this is just an introduction and she’ll be back for more after Neverland is sorted out.

ParticipantI’ve never been an Eric fan so I’m 100% a fan of his only being in the past. It just fits with the feeling of Once to have Ariel’s story with Eric combine both the Disney and Anderson version. Plus, I’m just so into Hookriel atm. I’m so glad there are other Hookriel fans. It’s such a crackship and shot down often that it’s nice just to have others who are open to the idea.
I know people will hate it, but the thought that Ariel doesn’t get her happy ending with her prince is fascinating. And it’s time to jerk another character around in the romantic department besides Rumbelle.

ParticipantRG, that’s my headcannon. Eric is in the past. He just loves someone else and instead of dying, maybe Ariel is banished to Neverland.
I was never a huge fan of Eric=Hook. If Hook shaved and washed off the eyeliner, I could see the resemblance, but I was never invested in that theory. I think my Hookriel shipping would work out with her meeting Hook after her failed love affair, or lack thereof. I want to see snark and bantering.

ParticipantI really didn’t believe that the episode would be “Ariel”. That’s really not a Once-esque title.
I’m excited about Eric not being Hook because maybe, just maybe Eric is in the past and he’s a rejected and/or unrequited lover. I want the Anderson tale! And Hookriel! And a bitter Ariel!

ParticipantI don’t think Peter Pan himself has seeing abilities, but I think he’s using the seer that Rumple encountered. So I’m thinking maybe the little girl was captured or collected by Peter and she told him all about Rumple and Henry and all that could happen. He decides to use her to plant the seeds into Rumple that sent into motion his plan. He returns her to the Enchanted Forest and she suddenly shows up exactly where Rumple is a soldier and just happens to tell him about his future…she was planted there for a purpose! Fifteen or so years later after Bae disappeared the seer shows up once again at Rumple’s beckoning and manipulates Rumple into taking her “sight” because she’s tired of it and wants peace. That character is going to show up once again in some form of flashbacks.
All this even further in my head goes back that Peter is so interested in Rumplestiltskin clan because Henry is important in some way and Rumple is Peter’s younger brother. I’m holding onto that headcanon till I’m proved wrong. 😛
