I think they’re going to keep whether Gold turns into Rumple under wraps, but maybe someone will ask it at Comic-Con and it will be answered. I’m dying to know, also. And if he did turn into Rumple and then comes back to Storybrooke would he still be Rumple since there’s magic here? Would he need to kiss Belle?
We’re all waiting for Belle to finally give Rumple the TLK to finally break his spell once and for good, but I would die of laughter if they come back and before the emotional moment Neal leans over and kisses his dad on the cheek and takes Belle’s thunder away from her. Oh my stars, the Rumbelle fandom would faint.

Good! I hope this shuts up the Belle bashers who claim Storybrooke won’t be on the show at all except for a few minutes every few episodes.

I can’t picture EvilFire, either. You’re reasons are right on Phee. Adding his now horrible experience with EvilTamara, he’d have to really overcome a hurdle to look in Regina’s direction.
Truly, I can’t picture Regina with anyone at the moment. Who is left of fairytale or storybook characters that she hasn’t attempted murder on, cursed or manipulated? The best possible solution is if she has Kurt in some cryogenic state and he wasn’t really killed. I think her best chance at happiness would be with a person from our world, devoid of magic or any knowledge of all the shenanigans she’s put everyone through. Then she can ease him into all the nasty stuff she’s done. But he also needs to be a strong character. Someone who would support and also stand up to her. Who would talk her down from her psychotic episodes.
I also agree about the same-sex couples. People get blasted on tumblr for stating it, but you’re right. Neither Regina or Emma have ever shown a tendency to go toward the female side. They’re past major lovers have all been men (that we know of). I know some people believe you can’t control who you fall in love with and anything can change for the right person, but I don’t believe that. I might have a deep emotional connection with a best friend, but that doesn’t mean I want to sleep with her. When they do finally have a same-sex couple, and they will definitely do it, I image it would a fringe couple, too. People are attached to their fairytales. Can you imagine the furor if Snow White came home one day and told Charming she was tossing him over for Rapunzel? It would be hilarious but it’s not going to happen.
I get a kick out of the Red Beauty shippers, not the casual ones, but the ones that deep down believe that Rumple isn’t the beast but Ruby is because she turns into an actual animal. Again, they have a nice friendship, but Belle is pretty stuck on Rumple and you’d have to be oblivious to not see that. I mean, she was eyeballing his behind and flirting with him when he was Sparkly Rumple. She’s been into him for awhile and it’s not going to stop anytime soon.

I still think on top of her Mommy issues with Cora that Regina may be barren. I know that a lot of people think that her and King Leo weren’t intimate because of his love for Snow’s mother, but I would be extremely shocked. I mean, look at Regina, he had to feel something for her (trying to put it delicately but you know what I’m taking about 😉 ). I think her disgust with Snow would have deepened if Leo goes on about his perfect Snow from his previous wife, whilst she is left childless. Even if she’s not barren and they were never together, it would still be like a slap in the face to her if she wanted children of her own.
While I agree that it would be best for Regina to work on herself first, this show is about fairy tales, romance and happy endings. Of course Regina is going to get a dishy love interest…and who knows, she just might kill off the this one, too. We never quite know what they have planned.

I have to say, I’m a little over the whole lets bring on to the show yet another stubbly faced, pretty boy to try and woo the shows ladies. Really? That’s only been done on, oh, I don’t know…… pretty much every show for the last 30 years.
Except…except, the one the has fangirls screaming the most over isn’t the stubbly Sheriff Skinny Jeans or Perfect Prince Charming. It’s the guy with the bad teeth, sparkly, scaly skin, and giggles like a little kid that’s possessed. Robert Carlyle does not tick off any of the boxes for “Hollywood Hottie”, but he has legions of fans adoring him. And that was before his romance with Belle and “Skin Deep”. I know for one I sat up and took notice during “The Price of Magic” and by “Desperate Souls” I was sunk.

I just discovered something fantastic. My local library, a very small two room library, has finally joined Overdrive, an online lending library and now I can borrow books for free (yippee!) on my ereader. This is great news for my pocketbook.

KFC, glad you got a laugh out of WS. We all need chuckle occasionally. 😆 You’re also absolutely correct if P&P were today. If nobody knew the story at all, the shippers would go nuts. (A side note, if you love P&P, read Bridget Jones’s Diary, a hilarious modern day version and much better than the movie). I do admit to hating Darcy the first time I read it. Wickham was still a…sometime I can’t type here, but Darcy wasn’t my favorite. But then I reread it and fell hard. Who knows what side of the shipping I’d be on if it was done today in the way you said.
Shipping, although I didn’t know it was called this as a young teen, was what made me despise Little Women. I absolutely loved that novel–until Jo broke Laurie’s heart and he turned to her sister. Then it turned into a horrible book. So in my version Jo and Laurie ended up together and the rest of the book never happened. I like living in my little world of denial.
Speaking of all the changes to fairytale and fandom’s views, it’s sort of why I ship Hookriel. I loved Ariel but never warmed to Prince Eric. The guy turned to the first person who had a voice that reminded him of someone who rescued him. What a stupid reason to fall in love, and very shallow at that. At least in Sleeping Beauty, my favorite as a child, Aurora and Phillip had a sassy flirting session before they felling in love. So if they end up deciding to pair Ariel with someone else, even if it’s not Hook, I will be perfectly fine with it.
