Phee, I’m sure everything will go fine.  It’s a routine surgery nowadays with very little complications.  Sending out positive thoughts.

I don’t know how to make fanvids either.   I’ve found a few songs that I thought would make fantastic vids.

Can she really advise Nealfire to forgive and reconcile without coming across as hypocritical if she doesn’t try the same with her own father at some point?

Exactly! I can’t see how they can go on with that storyline without addressing what’s happening in Belle’s life. It seems like it would be a good bonding point for Belle and Neal.

I’m kind of hoping that Neal returns to Storybrooke before the Neverland crew so he can spend time alone with Belle.  The last he knew of her was as Lacey and that didn’t give him a good impression of her.  I think they need to spend some quality time together before he jets off to rescue his son.  The two of them lamenting over their fathers and how to deal with them would be make for some good television.  Maybe learning about Belle’s ordeal with her father and that his dad went to his demise to rescue Henry will begin the healing process with his dad when they’re reunited.

I hope they sit the “floof family” next to each other:  Michael, Robert and Emilie all together.  Can’t wait to see some MRJ/RC interactions.

I can just see the shippers now going nuts if they they sit Jennifer beside either MRJ or Colin.  It will reignite the shipping wars.  😆

I think they can still pull off Belle being friendly with her dad without him being in every episode. All we need is a mention of him in passing such, “Oh I stopped by the shop today and saw my father.”  Heck, as crowded as this show is an as little time as Belle gets we don’t even need that.

I have to admit, even though Mo isn’t a main or even recurring character,  that I’m really want to see them reconcile.  I think I may be a little more sensitive to it than most people because I just lost my dad a few months ago.  I hate the thought that Belle and her father live in the same town and have no communication.  I know a lot of family work this way, but it breaks my heart a little to see it.  Maurice will never be best pals with Gold, but I think ultimately they could come up with a tentative accord for Belle’s sake.

Heck, Belle was more forgiving of Regina who held her prisoner in two different realms and gave her false memories just to spite everyone.  At least Maurice loves his daughter and just wanted what’s best for her, even if it was stupid and misguided plan.

Phee, I keep having the refrain “Daddy, daddy if you could only see / just how good he’s been treating me / you’d give us our blessing right now cause we are in love” repeating in my head.  My goal is to get this little earworm in everyone’s head by the end of the day.  😛

I admit to being a bit shocked at getting the ‘I love you’s from SwanFire.  I seriously thought we’d have to be in season seven before she admitted any sort of feelings for Neal besides anger and resentment.

Henry as Rumple’s undoing was pretty much a “wow” moment.

A personal shock for me based on last year’s spoilers, and I know a big percentage of fandom disagrees with me, was how much I disliked Hook as a character.  To me it was all the casting, although I still say Colin would have been great as Robin Hood.  I thought I would love the character of Hook before they casted him and now I could care less.

    Belle being shot by Hook.

All those people voluntarily getting on the Jolly Roger and not killing each other…yet.

I do think they have to reconcile.  If we’re routing for Neal to reconcile with his father, I think we need to give similar consideration to Belle and Maurice.  Both fathers did what they did for their children out of love and suffered the consequences of their horrible decisions.  I think for them to reunite, Maurice has to be repentant and realize the mistakes he’s made in pushing his daughter away.  Deep down he does love her and rationalized that he was doing what he thought was best for her.  It was wrong, it was horrible, but he loved her and was desperate.

I always got the feeling that the queen probably went to Maurice’s castle and spewed all kinds of lies about Belle dying at Rumple’s hands after she captured her just like she did to Rumple about Maurice shunning her and causing death.  She stirs up chaos, meanwhile Belle is sitting in her cell in her own castle.  Each man thinking a girl he loves (in different ways) has been destroyed by the other.  Maurice probably believed this monster raped and tortured his daughter and when finds out she’s really alive and in love with him he did whatever he could think of to rescue her.  I don’t think he really thought out the ramifications of Belle without her memory.  He was just trying to save his daughter.

Ultimately, Maurice has to accept the fact the Belle loves Rumple and always will.  After all they’ve been through I don’t think that’s going to stop.  Maurice doesn’t have to love Rumple, but he does have to accept that this is the choice his daughter made, to spend her life with this man.

My hope is that Maurice encountered Lacey and realized the horrible thing he could have done to his daughter and that’s what wakes him and drives him to apologize once he realizes that Belle has returned, not just because Rumple has left.

My thoughts of the guy went to another place. His head is a bad place, or a good place.  We don’t quite know about merpeople.

No, he doesn’t know everything.  Look how long it took him to bottle “true love”, or at least a version of it (you guys know what I mean).

With all those books in the Dark Castle, I wonder if Belle has learned anything about magic.  She adores books so I think if Rumple has any texts that she could get her hands on she would have devoured them, even if it was only to get a better understanding of her master.  She might know some stuff that’s going to surprise us.

Rumple’s gaining of power through the years is also the reason I hope if his Dark Curse is ever broken before the series end that he’s not totally devoid of magic.  The seer’s powers were independent of the Dark One.  Who knows?  Eddy and Adam said you had to be born with the spark of magic, so I wonder if Rumple was and that’s why he was sought out to begin with.

I’ve the first part of Wicked and it is wild.  Really strange and wild.  I admit to only getting part way through and then skipping to the end, but I have read a detailed summary of the parts I missed.  They sure cut a lot of stuff out of the musical from that book.

I was just reading a review of Wild Sargasso Sea yesterday and its connection to Jane Eyre.

Want to talk about depressing books.  I read a few of my sister’s Danielle Steele novels as a teenager and, boy, are those things filled with melodrama.  Those poor women go through everything under the sun.  No wonder they’re made into Lifetime movies.   The worst books, though, are Harlequin romances.  I don’t know how they sell so much.  I had a few give to me in a box of books and they’re just so…I can’t even describe it.  And this is from a girl who doesn’t mind a good romance novel.  I’d much prefer to read some quality fanfiction than the drivel Harlequin puts out.

Confession about Pride and Prejudice–I hated Darcy the first time I read it.  I know, it’s shocking.  I’d read Bridget Jones’s Dairy (a must read for any P&P fans and one of my favorite books of all time) and while I loved Lizzy I just couldn’t forgive Darcy for his interference and I despised Bingley even more for listening to Darcy and not having the backbone to stand up for himself and trust in his feelings.  So I reread the novel and somehow in the second rereading I fell utterly in love with Darcy.  I don’t know why or how, but I did.  I still despised Bingley, but I understood Darcy.  It wasn’t until I saw the Keira Knightley version (yes I have the Colin Firth version, too) that I started to thaw a little toward Bingley.  But it remains a favorite that I reread often.   My other favorite Jane Austen book is Persuasion.  I just love Anne’s and Frederick’s story.

If you love Pride &Prejudice I suggest you watch the vlog “The Lizzie Bennet Diaries” on YouTube.  I watched almost all of the 100 episodes in two days.  It’s like crack, you can’t stop.

I always thought Rumple just picked it up as he went along, too.  The Dark One curse gave him a certain amount of powers and he’s probably gained the knowledge by independent study for everything else.  He’s lived three hundred years and I can’t imagine him ever being in the submissive position of student and learning from someone who would in essence be of a higher authority.

Rumple rules unto himself and nobody else.  Rarely has he gone to someone else for advice or help.  The only time in the Enchanted Forest that I know of was when he demanded of the Blue Fairy a way to get to Bae.  As Mr. Gold, rarely has he asked for help and then it was usually about Belle and involved David.   (Hence, why I love their bromance so much).    My point is I can’t imagine him actually admitting to needing to learn something as the Dark One so I don’t think he’d have a mentor in magic.

Oh, if Gold turns into Rumple I think that would be even better for Hook teasing him to “think of a wonderful thought.”    Can you imagine the “Sparkly One” floating and doing somersaults in the air!  Any way we get Robert Carlyle would be a fantastic scene.
