ParticipantMaybe by accident with the ships rigging. That stuff is pretty dangerous if you don’t know how to properly batten down everything.

Sorry, instantly went through my head. 😀

ParticipantLol, I remember a few years ago my neice, who was only about 14 at the time telling me, “House is very attractive for an old man.” It was just not someone I’d ever think she’d find attractive at her age at the time, although I whole-heartedly agreed with her.
Hugh would make a great grumpy Merlin. I remember the only casting I’ve ever gotten correctly for guessing in show or movie was for “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”. Everyone on a site I was active in at the time was arguing over who should play Prof. Lockhart and my first choice was Kenneth Brannaugh. As soon as plans for the second movie were announced I knew he was the only one I could picture in the role. I remember getting shot down for my choice, but then I gloated after he was actually picked.

ParticipantI want Once Wonderland to be only 12 episodes only. I, too, worry about it being a drain, but if it gets good ratings the network will want to milk it for all it’s worth.
I also wish they’d learn from cable tv and put more of their shows on in the summer. I’d rather have had Once Wonderland held over for next summer or even winter. A lot of places are too hot, or in my case with the never ending days of rain, too wet to do anything outside and there is nothing on television to watch. I am getting a dent on my Netflix queue, though. 🙂

ParticipantI think I posted this at fanforum awhile ago and not here, but it’s playing on my tablet right now and thought of this thread. Trisha Yearwood’s song “One A Bus to St. Cloud” is a perfect Emma song. No matter who you ship her with, she was heartbroken when Neal left her and this song sums the situation. It’s about a women who travels all over and sees her former lover everywhere, always wondering what went wrong and never finding him or the answers she seeks. This song is just pure poetry.
On a bus to St. Cloud, Minnesota, I thought I saw you there
With the snow falling down around you like a silent prayer
And once on a street in New York City with the jazz and the sin in the air
And once on a cold L.A. freeway going nowhereAnd it’s strange, but it’s true I was sure it was you
Just a face in the crowd on a bus to St. CloudIn a church in downtown New Orleans I got down on my knees and prayed
And I wept in the arms of Jesus for the choice you made
We were just gettin’ to the good part, just gettin’ past the mystery
Oh, and it’s just like you, it’s just like you to disagreeAnd it’s strange but it’s true you just slipped out of view
Like a face in the crowd on a bus to St. CloudAnd you chase me like a shadow
And you haunt me like a ghost
And I hate you some, and I love you some
But I miss you most…On a bus to St. Cloud, Minnesota, I thought I saw you there
With the snow falling down around you like a silent prayerOn the same album is Trisha Yearwood’s cover of Melissa Etheridge’s “You Can Sleep While I Drive.” I like both versions, but it’s a great song about someone pleading with their lover to just get out on the road and escape their life and travel. Great for Neal/Emma in their thieving days.

ParticipantAnd it’s sort of tragic if you think about how if Rumple had killed RH, maybe Marian and the baby’s lives would have played out differently…maybe Tamara never would have been part of THO…maybe that unborn child that Rumple saw never would have tried to kill his own son and torn apart his hopes of the reunion he’d been craving for centuries. I get a kick out of the potential of the interwoven angst, so I’m totally on board if they do go in that direction.
The scene where Belle caught glimpse of the humanity still lurking inside Rumplestiltskin’s soul for the first time. *sniff* The beginning of her realizing that there just might be more to him than he appears. To think that if he’d been ruthless and without sympathy, in essence the monster he seems to be, his son might not have been separated from his family and August’s story would have come out differently, also. This is all assuming that Tamara might be RH’s and Marian’s daughter.
This opens a whole can of ethics and goes back to the old adage of “No good deed goes unpunished.” You do something morally and ethically right and the end result is something horrible. Sort of the opposite of the debate of “does the ends justify the means.”
Man, we’re getting a bit deep in our discussions. I think we need more information. Maybe Adam will give us a little Independence Day present…we do love fireworks on this holiday. 😀

ParticipantEveryone keeps going on an on about Rufio. Maybe I should watch Hook. It’s the only version of Peter Pan that I’ve never seen, and that’s even counting the Mary Martin version.
(On a off-topic note but semi-related, I just watched a documentary today about the making of Disney’s animated Peter Pan and the history of the story and it was quite fascinating. )
