Yay for spoilers. Whilst I’m not happy about Captain Swan, I’m very much expecting it. I can always go to the potty during those scenes or get a drink out of the fridge…and my dog needs to be taken outside periodically. 😎

So glad to hear about the spilt season. I was really hoping for it. With the Olympics and the awards season it only makes sense. Too bad we’ll have another 4 month wait over winter, but I’d rather do that then all the disjointed programming from last year…and we’ll have the hiatus to rewatch the first half of the season.

PP -> THO: Tell them to smash the big diamond thing with a Dwarf axe in the mines, then everyone in town except for the boy will be destroyed, and him they must bring to NL by using the bean.
THO -> GOAT: Take the big diamond thing into the mines, smash it with a Dwarf axe, and when everyone else in town dies, the boy will be the only one left. Use the bean you have to create a portal and deliver him to NL.
GOAT -> THO: NL? Righto, we live to serve, so whatever you say, boss.

Love this. Exactly how I pictured it; GOAT really have no idea what is going on. All that’s missing here is PP twirling a mustache, cackling evilly and saying “yessss! it’s all going according to plan!!”

And the Blue Fairy with Tinkerbelle behind him smirking. πŸ˜†

Hehe. I swear until the series finale is finally aired, I will continue to accuse the Evil Blue Fairy of being behind everything.

I’m really curious about Rumple’s undoing though, as A & E said he’s going to learn the hard way what that is. I don’t think it’s death but can it really be losing his curse? Can they take away his powers in season 3? I mean he’s one of the big driving forces of the show and without his powers….what’s he going to do for the rest of the series? His whole primary struggle is choosing power or love.
Unless he still can do magic even after he’s not the Dark One anymore..

I wouldn’t count Rumple out without his powers. He’s pretty wicked with his cane (and I won’t make a joke even though I desperately want to. πŸ˜† ). This is the man who was able to overtake Moe, a much bigger man, and August, a much younger man, even before he even had access to magic. For a small guy with a limp, he sure is physically powerful. 😎

I actually think it would be fascinating to see Rumple without his powers. It’s been over 300 years since he was a normal man. It would be great to see him navigating life post-curse. Plus, you have to admit, he’s probably gained so much knowledge in all those years of living that he’d be like a walking encyclopedia even without magic. I do wonder if he’d still have some form of magic after the curse is lifted. With all those years of living that I mentioned, he’s had to learn some other forms of magic that aren’t dependent on his Dark One powers. An example is his seer powers. He was given them by the seer, although maybe he does need to be the DO to access them, we don’t know. I just think it would be great to see him trying to live without them. I do think the “good guys” depend on his knowledge a lot more than they should from an “enemy” and would probably continue to do so even after his curse was lifted.

I know one thing, I’d never want to play a game of chess against Rumple. I’d probably lose in two moves. πŸ˜€

Thought I’d share with my fellow crafters my drop spindle I made. It cost me less than $5 and made from a dowel rod, rubber washer, cup hook and two old CDs. I’m technically not spinning in the picture. Right now, I’m learning to “ply”. To non-knitters/spinners, this is taking two threads and twisting them around each other to make a thicker yarn. But I do have wool roving waiting to be spun into yarn. That’s next on the list. First, I have to finish plying my unraveled $4 recycled cashmere sweater so I can make a scarf from it.

Gaultheria, I don’t have sock blockers and have never blocked my socks before, but I did make my own blocking board out of styrofoam insulation board from Lowes, duct tape and gingham fabric. Much cheaper than buying a commercially made blocking board. It’s ridiculous what yarn stores sell blockers for. Like you, I refuse to pay it.

Something is going on with compasses we don’t know. One also shows up in “True North”. Hansel and Gretel’s dad had a compass and the children had it in Storybrooke. Granted, it didn’t work during the episode, but I always thought it was also a magical one and now that magic is in town, maybe it will come back up again.

It’s strange for a man to wear a necklace, really? In general? My brother used to wear a cross and my nephew, who is twenty has always worn a chain from the time he was in middle school. When he was younger it was a football charm because he played all through school and now wears a cross. I know a few other males in my family who wear necklaces, too. I’ve never thought twice about seeing a man with a necklace on.

Boy, I thought the fairies had some impressive cleavage. 😯 Seriously, that’s the first thing that stood out to me.

I’m going to have to go back and reread “Through the Looking Glass”. I’m more familiar with the first book, but the second has the Red and White Queens in it and I remember actually liking the second one better, although I was frightened by the Jabberwocky in the tv miniseries from the 80s when it was on. That’s probably still the truest version out there, despite the all-star cast and the singing. I recommend anyone with Netflix to look it up and watch it. I think it’s about four hours long.

I actually remember this show and watched it. It wasn’t very good that I remember and I’m shocked to hear it lasted two seasons. It aired here at 8pm (as 7pm is local programming and always has been…must have been 7pm for Central time).

I actually think this was addressed to them last season or at least brought up around fandom. I know people are also saying they stole the idea from the graphic novels/comics called “Fables” by Bill Willingham . The truth is many people have had the concept through the years.

My favorite movie with this concept is “Enchanted”. The evil stepmother pushes her step-son’s fiancΓ© down the well and is forced to go to the most unhappiest place ever…New York City. Amy Adams was just fantastic as the starry eyed Giselle and Susan Sarandon was, too, as the manipulative Evil Queen.
