I, too, was hoping for a short season. An opening and closing of a chapter. I wouldn’t mind if they continue with the concept and go to different lands, but I’m hoping it stays to the original order of episodes.

Hook did just try to kill his dad, after all. Neal might be angry with Rumple and not want to see him, but when push came to shove, he got on that ship and sailed it back to Storybrooke to save his papa.

I wonder how Hook found them in New York? Was he tailing them? How did he find Emma and Rumple to begin with? He couldn’t have known that Bae was going by Neal in this world or even what he looked like anymore.

There is just so much more I feel between those two that we don’t know, yet. That can’t be the only time that Bae and Hook encountered each other.

Typo in the above…I meant Morraine’s talk with Bae, not Henry, but I think you realized that. πŸ˜€

Hmm…there is so little we know of fairies. Nova appears human sized, but Blue is always tiny. She’s supposed to be the “Original Power”, but is only used when it’s convenient for the story. She is either the ultimate puppet master or just being used as plot device, which is bad writing, imo. This is why so many people think the Blue Fairy is ultimately the Big Bad of the show. So if Eddie and Adam are honest and Blue is good, then she’s just being written horribly. I really think we need more parameters about fairies. We really know nothing about them besides the fact that they’re not destined for love and use diamond dust for their magic…and Whale wondering if he can date them. 😎

My aunt’s husband has always had a full beard. One day he decided to shave it. When my grandma, who rarely told people what to do and was one of the most easy going women in the world, saw him she told he me had to grow the beard back. He just didn’t look like himself without it. So he ended up growing the beard back. πŸ˜›

Non-once related, I think Tom Selleck looks much better with a mustache. I’m usually not a fan of mustaches alone, preferring beards or gruff. I don’t know, sometimes it seems like a caterpillar is over some men’s lips and some men just look creepy. But Tom Selleck just looks much better with his mustache.

I’m going to eagerly watch the show, but part of me wishes they’d have started with Oz or another land to do the spinoff and waited until they could nail down Sebastian Stan for the Mad Hatter. My headcannon of Alice and Jefferson is really throwing me off and I have to realign my thinking. I don’t like doing that. πŸ˜†

I’m also getting the feeling that Rumplestiltskin isn’t that great at researching. He may know how to word a deal and is the best businessman around, but he lost the shoes that were presumably Dorothy’s, some shadow from Neverland is able to cross into non-magical lands, there are beans out there he had no idea about it despite a giant beanstalk existing somewhere in FTL, and it seems the White Rabbit is able to portal jump into our Land Without Magic. Maybe if he would have just had a long talk with Belle at the castle about Bae this could have been resolved differently. She figured out about Phillip being the monster terrorizing the village awfully quickly. With her knowledge of languages and the use of that library, methinks she would have had everything figured out quickly with no bloodshed. πŸ˜† But then we would have had no Emma, Henry or Mr. Gold’s fabulous suits. πŸ˜‰

(Yes, I ended up turning the Wonderland thread around to Rumple…I tend to turn everything around to Rumple. πŸ™„ πŸ˜€ )

It would also suggest that PP was manipulating Rumple in the creation of the Curse, and possibly even manipulating BF giving Bae the bean, all pieces of the puzzle that would ultimately lead to the birth of the prophecide boy (Henry) and his being brought to NL.

    Perhaps?

I keep coming back to this, Phee, in my mind. Rumple was all gung-ho about fighting in the Ogre War. So excited and proud until he just happened to come across the seer. The seer just happens to find the one person who is going to have this fantastical journey crossing hundreds of years and innumerable curses and magic. I know we talk about fate, but this just reeks of the seer being planted there to set off the events of everything. It’s only after the seer talks to Rumple that the dominos start falling.

So this means the seer could have been working for someone else. She was a child. Maybe she was one of the children that PP took and found out she had special powers and she prophesized all that would be. The she was set back to FTL to set everything into motion. Rumple had to do everything so that Henry would eventually be born…without his machinations Bae would have never left and Henry would never have been conceived.

I still also think that Morraine’s talk with Henry was some kind planning. She just happened to talk to him about Reull Gorhm and the Blue Fairy just happened to have just one bean left that would help him. I can’t quite figure out how BF fits into everything. Unless she’s the role of Tinkerbelle who, imo, desperately loved and extremely jealous of Peter.

    My brain hurts, now. :geek:

I agree, Demileto. Maleficent was much more evil and menacing in the Disney tales than the Evil Queen ever was. I mean, she had a Dark Castle on a mountain with demon boars as her guards. Now that’s evil. πŸ˜†

I can’t access my earlier episodes this season I recorded but where exactly was Smee when the curse hit? We know that Hook was in FTL with Cora because she protected them with her little magical biosphere, but I can’t remember what land Smee was in.

We do know that Hook left Neverland at some point, obviously. He got back to the Enchanted Forest and knew the story about Belle living with Rumple. Somehow he had a mole somewhere because he also knew that Regina had her held captive (kind of makes you wonder since Jefferson also knew that Regina had Belle captive…was it not really a secret?) Anyway, what I’m getting out is that since Hook left, I do wonder if he somehow helped Bae escape is some way, also. That line about “things we do for our children” is really strange. Maybe it’s just semantics, but I think there is something else to it between them.

I know everyone is obsessed with shipping and Emma, but I’m actually at the moment much more interested in the Hook/Nealfire relationship. He seemed floored to find out that Nealfire was Henry’s father and that even Neal was gone. He didn’t know. It was only after he was on the ship and saw the remind of Bae did he turn back around to help Storybrooke.

So in a twisted sort of way, Bae might have two dads similar to how Henry has two moms. Goodness, this show is twisted. 😯 πŸ˜† I don’t know how anyone who hasn’t watched it from the pilot could ever follow the plot.

So how do you take that, it being a “reminder”? My feeling is that Rumple wants to hang on to that part of him who really is human. After Emma came back, he didn’t have Belle and hadn’t found Bae, yet, but living as “Mr. Gold” has shown him that he still has a bit of his real self hidden deep down inside.

If he would, by chance, get turned back into Rumple’s faΓ§ade in Neverland, I have a feeling we’re still not going to see the classic “Dark One Rumple”. He may look like him, but I don’t think he’ll be as flamboyant. Like the others affected by the curse, he has a combination of things in him. He’s peasant Rumple, Dark One, Mr. Gold, and now post-curse Grandpa. He’s an amalgamation now. We might see some of his mannerisms return, but I don’t think he’ll be the all-out, full-tilt Dark One Rumplestiltskin. His experiences, imo, with Belle, Neal and Henry have really changed him.

I get that Colin is attractive, but I feel there is some major defect in me. I’ve never got that rabid slavering that most of the other women in fandom have gotten for him. I guess everyone is different. He is very attractive, I know that, but he’s not at the top of my list if I were compiling one on the OUAT men. Maybe I just have very odd tastes.

What about Eion Bailey? August is one character I think looks much better with facial hair. He’s attractive without it, but much more so with it.
