Why aren’t we talking about Grimm!!!
Okay, so the baby. We know Nick is the baby daddy but who is the mother? (Not often a question we need to ask đ Let’s break it down:
Adelind – She’s carrying the baby and she did sleep with Nick although it was as Juliette.
Juliette – She thought she was pregnant and even took a test that came back negative but then she found out she’s turning into a hexenbiest. So could the baby have transferred magically from Juliette to Adelind. This situation with Juliette is wild so it’s not so far fetched that she could be the mother but Adelind is the surrogate. Or is Adelind really the mother. Either way, it’s fascinating.
Also, my predictions for the finale — Juliette sides with Evil Kenneth with the royals and Adelind clings to Nick since the baby. I also have a feeling that Adelind and Diana may be reunited again.

JosephineParticipantJo its your Floof!
Oh, that’s where the real show ended. Seriously. That is my happy ending. Nothing else came after. All this other stuff is an abomination and not my canon.

JosephineParticipantEmma’s not the only one with odd trust issues. Belle lets a woman who kept her prisoner for years in the EF and then locked in an asylum for 28 years just take her heart to aid in foiling her supposed true love. That is messed up.
At least on Grimm, they deal with the emotional repercussions of the plot. Once totally ignores it all.

JosephineParticipantBelle ships it
Belle is very excited to be on her adventure. She ships Swanfire bigtime đ
On the other hand, it outright dismisses what in fact does come after, which is all the more complicated, messy, mundane ways in which relationships must be kept alive.
The sad thing is what comes after would be fascinating. I’d have loved to see more bonding and the repercussions from Snowing being reunited with Emma. Or how Rumbelle deals with domesticity and the aspects that are unique to their age difference and each of their issues. Swanfire learning to parent their son even if they never get together as a couple. But no, we get none of that. And it makes me sad.

JosephineParticipantDonât ever feel the need to apologize here about your dislike of CS. You can be assured that you are in similar company here. None of us can be counted toward supporting that ship.
I think weâre actually seeing now what happens when you destroy, alter, and/or ignore the beta and even alpha ships of the series that were initially created. Ratings fall and the story suffers. Now, I donât watch Once for shipping (well, I watch it to mock now and for Bobby because heâs a freaking brilliant actor). I started because of my love of fairy tales. The idea of them being twisted and altered gave me hope that theyâd return to their European roots as morality and cautionary tales, not just propaganda for Disney. And at the beginning it wasn’t all about Disney. It turned into a series about love stories with deeper meaning and families who are intertwined and trying to fight to stay together. The ships and stories that I fell in love were an organic outcome of the story. Snowing fighting for their people and family, Rumple literally moving worlds to find the son he abandoned, Emma reuniting with her son and discovering her own roots, Rumbelle falling in love, and the catalyst of everything returning to the fold and learning to become a parent and also a son and friend to the people of his past. It was a beautiful, poetic story.
So, we know what happened. They killed off the sun in our universe of characters and there is now no gravity to keep everyone orbiting to maintain a cohesive story. What happens when the sun dies? Everything implodes and is sucked into a black hole of nothingness. That is this show. Neal is gone. The catalyst is taken out of the equation so now everyoneâs actions make no sense. With everything spinning out of control, they try to add depth to Snowing, which only makes them look stupid and as self-centered as the villains. They pair Emma with a crotch-rot pirate who comes off as more sleazy and like a selfish stalker than a true life partner and helpmate. And they destroy a beautiful love story of a monster who had found love despite not deserving it and his chance of having happiness with his true love and his son once again and totally ignore his new-found connection to a grandson.
And what is the real payoff of all these changes? You have a shiny sexy couple of CS that appeals to a certain demographic and probably focus groups well, but lacks depth or real heart, Snowing is changed to the point of being unrecognizable and cringe-worthy, Rumbelle is dead and Rumple has turned evil because they feel heâs just more fun evil, ignoring any character growth he received in the first two and half years.
I think the show runners have to realize that online fandom does not equal the GA (general audience). The ratings are down for a reason. You canât make up an excuses for everything: the weather was nice, itâs daylight savings time, it was a holiday, there was an awards show or football was on. If every little blip on the radar is going to affect ratings that much then something is wrong with your show.
Wow, I didnât mean to rant on like this and realize it probably wonât be read over but I just had to get it all out. Itâs so upsetting that a once wonderful show has been reduced to this point.

JosephineParticipantBut she mentioned both times for the exact same reason: to flesh out Will as having someone significant in his life pre-Ana and pre-Alice. Both times it was the exact same story: she fell through the ice and drowned, and it serves to show that Will has lost someone and it affected him. Both times it reads like only a story to serve Will, not a larger plot.
That. I think the only reason sheâs been mentioned twice is to fill in people who didnât watch WL.
Penelope is also a Dryad and mother of the god Pan in Greek mythology.
Willâs sister is Rumpleâs grandma, CONFIRMED.
And we thought the family tree couldn’t get weirder. đ
Hmmm…that would mean Will is now dating his grand-nephew’s wife. Seems about right for this show.
I LIKE IT! đ

JosephineParticipantthere is the general advice only to ship couples you know in advance end up together, based on books mostly, and Jane Austen in particular.
Yes, 19th century literary shipping is the only way to go. The author isn’t going to come back and retcon it. No matter how stuck up and pole-in-the-behind Mr. Darcy is I know he’s going to end up Lizzy every time I read it.
My only ships left on TV are Shamy from TBBT, a couple where there really is nobody else in the world for them. And then Monrosalee. They are so freaking adorable and been through hell and back on Grimm. Seriously, that speech he gave on loving his wife while being tortured melted my heart.

JosephineParticipantSlurpeez, that makes me want to cry. However, on the plus side, the show is so horrible now that I can distance myself and still watch Skin Deep. The show ended at 3×10 with the Floof Family Hug. I can pretend and will continue to do so. This show now is just some horrid doppelganger that I am determined to watch to the end (maybe not, though) just to see how bad it can go.
On a happy note, Belle is off to Disney World! Well, Ohio first and then to Disney World. She is very excited and hopes to get a picture next to her Beast. She’s going to be FLIPPING over everything she sees. *muhahahhaha* đ
Darnit! I should have made her little mouse ears for the trip! #WeAreNormal

JosephineParticipantThanks guys. I’ve written in another thread that that scene in the hospital was difficult to see. I had to leave the room for most of it. But you’re both correct. Rumple lived in this world with memories of his false self. Remember “We are Both”. He still has those memories. And once Emma showed up and triggered his memories he’d have researched extensively everything to do with our world. He likes to be prepared. His contingency plans had contingency plans. He might not be comfortable, as see in season two when he went to NYC with Emma and Henry, but he wasn’t completely ignorant. But they’re writing him that way.
Seasons 1-3a Rumple was a master chess player. Current Rumple seems to me to be more “I want this game to just end”.
Keeper of Rumplestiltskin's and Neal's spears and war paint and crystal ball.
JosephineParticipantNow, if this wonderful diagnosis of âthicker bloodâ is a question of blood viscosity, and thatâs Rumpleâs translation of what the docs told him, then I seriously doubt they would tell them that âdiet and exerciseâ is what he needs. Theyâd hydrate him, put him on blood-thinners, and maybe do a transfusion. Not to mention that the link between blood viscosity and heart attacks is actually a lot more complex than they make it appear â stroke and deep tissue thrombosis, yes, but a first year med student could have told the writers that. Or Dr. Google.
Exactly, dealing with the medical issues of my parents I know immediately that the first thing he’d have were tests for clotting and immediately on blood thinners and, you’re right, likely transfusions. And also, if he was to the point he needed a vent he’d probably be in a medically induced coma (believe me, I’ve been through this process many times) and then he would have to be weened off. It would not be a brief two day stay. Like you said, all it takes is a little thing called Google. In this day of information at anybody’s fingertips, it does smack of laziness.
