JosephineParticipant
So he probably was submitted by multiple people under both categories. Hmmm. I just hope he’s on the ballot. I need to see Mr. Gold in a tux.

JosephineParticipantSee, all conflicting reports. I guess it’s just a wait and see game. Personally, I hope it’s Supporting Actor, but who knows. The one character from Game of Thrones won it last year, and I read he’s submitting his name again this year for Supporting even though all the experts say it should be in the Main Actor category. We’re not the only show with confusion.

JosephineParticipantWhat bothers me about the Mad Hatter is that I wonder how long he’s known that Regina has her underground lair insane asylum. He freed Belle, which is fantastic, but he only did it after Regina refused to honor her deal and pushed his buttons. Declaring that he didn’t have it in him to kill her was like waving a red flag in front of a bull. Yeah, he doesn’t have it in him to kill her, but he knew that if Gold ever found out she was hiding and imprisoning his live, he would have no compucture against destroying her. So how long has Jefferson known about this underground prison? If Regina had honored her deal, he would have never released Belle. Just let her lay in her prison.
So now I’m really on the fence about him. They better do some explaining for me to forgive him, even though he’s been through hell himself.

JosephineParticipantThere is confusion about what category Robert Carlyle is being submitted for. I’ve heard from numerous sites that it’s Best Actor, however on TVLine.com, they said he was confirmed for Best Supporting Actor. They’re usually correct.
Personally, I think this show is similar to Modern Family. Even Glee has this problem. They’re ensemble casts and really no one character is the main. They all work together and ones who are “supporting” end up having more screen time. On Glee, Matthew Morrison is always up for Best Actor in different awards, but to me he is supporting because they’ve ruined his character and made him background. I’ve always considered Finn more the Main Character, even from the Pilot. Modern Family solves this by all submitting in the Best Supporting categories for Comedy. I think RC and LP would do better submitting in Supporting Categories. That doesn’t mean they’re not liked as well. The only main character I’d say for the show is Jennifer Morrison, but even she’s not in any FTL shots which account for half the show. So I’d say they’re all Supporting like Modern Family.

JosephineParticipantI think that Baelfire will not be the innocent nice kid we all remember. He’s had too much happen in his life…his mother abandoned him (we suspect), his father because the Dark One and brutally killed and when a solution came he abandoned him, too. Kid’s got problems. But I don’t think he’s going to be evil. At least I hope not.
If he is Henry’s father and was involved with Emma, I could see them being attracted to one another and kindred spirits, if only for a short time. Both have probably have abandonment issues, probably feel unlovable, among a host of many other things. We don’t know how old Bae would be, but Emma was a teenager and never told him about the baby, then got arrested, so I can see her really being messed up. She sees his being an a**hole because of her past experiences. He’s probably really messed up, too. Plus, with both being from FTL I can see them having an unexplained attraction to each other.
I do think, though, that he’s working with August. Until this theory is totally debunked, I’m sticking by it. I don’t think August got all of his information from the Blue Fairy/Mother Superior. I just get the feeling that Bae’s and August’s paths have crossed. Don’t know if it was in Phuket or somewhere else along his travels, but something has happened between them, I can feel it in my bones. Although my bones may be lying to me. 😆

May 31, 2012 at 1:10 am in reply to: Sleeping Beauty’s Castle & The Fairy-Tale of Cinderella #148109JosephineParticipantHow great to visit there! Years ago, I studied German in high school for two years and my dad lived there in the army decages ago for a year or two and picked up the some of the language. Boy did that help when I had German class learning the language. I only took two years and retained more just talking to my dad than my sister did taking four years of Spanish class. My second year we studied Munich so if I ever went that’s the area I’d want to go to.
If I remember my German correctly, the cave room was in honor of Richard Wagner. Ludwig was obsessed with Wagner. The castle was also never finished, wasn’t it. I do remember the banruptcy thing. One thing I hated, we had to sit through a video of Wagner’s “Der Ring Das Nibelungen.” Those Germans sure were intense.
Did you get to see Schloss Nymphenburg in Munich? It was modeled after the Palace of Versailles. That’s all I can really remember about it other than that it’s in Munich.
My dad said he got to see the Frankenstein’s castle where Mary Shelley supposedly based her novel. He said it looked like burned out ruins.
BTW, I hope we get to see Sleeping Beauty’s story, too. It was my favorite as a child and second only to “Beauty and the Beast”. Although it might be tied.

JosephineParticipantIt’s a nice thought, but I think we’re going to go back to those who had magic before will have it again. But then we really have no idea who is going to be able to do what. Magic is unpredictable, according to Regina, in our world so wouldn’t it be wonderful if it didn’t work for any of them. 😆

JosephineParticipantI thought he was referring to Emma, the child, and product or manifestation, of Snow’s and Charming’s true love for each other. He was getting all of his ducks aligned in a row because he knew what was coming. At that point, the curse was completed because he had already used the drop of the potion on the parchment. He then needed Charming to put the remaining potion in the belly of the beast to protect the rest for the coming battle. He needed Snow and Charming to come together and conceive the Savior who could one day break the curse. He knew everything that he was doing.

JosephineParticipantThe criticism I’ve seen on other boards concerning Rumbelle is the abusiveness and Stockholm syndrome, too. But that’s the same criticism to the “Beauty and the Beast” tale, also. However, if you look at fairy tales, they were brutal. Funnily enough, Beauty and the Beast was one that was supposed to be uplifting. It was supposed to be a reassuring teaching tale for new new brides to not be afraid of arranged marriages. As a child, years before Disney came out with the movie, “Beauty and the Beast” had always been a favorite of mine. Here was a heroine who didn’t fall in love with her “prince” because he was wealthy, or had a kingdom or a huge castle. They got to know each other gradually. Every night he asked her “Beauty, will you marry me.” And every night her response was the same until circumstances made her realize the truth. I just never saw the abuse aspect in the story.
My one main criticism with “Skin Deep” is, although she stated she’s been there months, that the story seemed rushed. This series seriously likes to drag stuff out and BAM! the whole story happens in one episode. I realize why they did it that way story wise. And it makes sense, but anothe part of me thinks it would have been more impactful if they had drug it out like Snow’s story.

JosephineParticipantI no longer have Evil Queen hair. As I posted earlier my hairstyle sort of resembled Regina’s in Storybrooke only a little shorter. Well, I was sick of it getting in my face so I decided to get my bangs cut this weekend. It looks like I got a whole new haircut, and I really didn’t. Now I have to make the decision whether I should go full pixie next time, ala Mary Margaret, or not.
