Hmmm….you think we favor Rumple/Mr. Gold in this forum? 😆 I wonder which character in fandom has the biggest following. I know there are EvilRegals and Dearies and Snowings, but is it dependent on where you visit. Seems we’re a bunch of Dearies here, including me since I picked Mr. Gold. I keep linking it back to the “Snape factor”. The character isn’t classically gorgeous, a “good guy”, or even really likable, but you just can’t help but be entranced by him. He’s utterly mesmerizing, whether he’s doing evil, being morally gray, or being kind to Henry.

I’ve been thinking about Emma, Henry, true love, the Charmings, and Henry’s father and it kept circling in my head. The theme of the show is that true love is the most powerful magic in the world. It got me thinking in OUaT that true love begets true love. I’ll explain…
Snow’s father loved her mother deeply. We’ve even seen him talk about it in front of Regina. So Snow is a product of true love. Then there is Charming. His mother tells of how she dearly loved his father and that true love will follow the ring she gave him, just like it did for her. Next in line is Emma, who we know is the product of Snow’s and Charming’s love for each other, and hence why she’s the savior curtesy of Rumple’s curse.
So that leaves Henry. The last in a long line of true love. We know that Emma truly loves Henry, but unlike the others, he’s not the product of true love. He’s the result of some messed up, accidental, dysfunctional relationship. She was a teenager, he wasn’t told she was pregnant, then she got arrested. Not the outcome of true love. So what’s different with Henry? Why did the cycle stop with his conception?
Or will his parents ultimately be each other’s romantic true loves. The show preaches it and shoves it down our throats, so why for the main character does she not have what everyone around her, even Rumple in his wacked out way, has or had? Do you think they’ll eventually bring back Henry’s father, whoever he is, and redeem him in her eyes?

I think he can see into the future, too, but I also think he has a blind spot with his personal life. That’s why he didn’t know Belle was alive, because she was too close to him.
I was just rewatching the Rumple/Charming scenes and he has to know what the future holds. Plus, as wretched as he is, I can’t see an imp who stopped the Ogre war and led a thousand children from the battlefield would let Henry die. He knew she was going to kiss him. He had to have.
Oh, I just had a thought, but I don’t know how to write it yet. It involves Rumple, seeing the future, and self-fulfilling prophecy. Maybe I have to sleep on it.

I want to hear the Rumple giggle out of his Mr. Gold persona. 😆 Come on, the swanky suit and tie and that giggle.
I want to see Bae. And Henry’s father. Hopefully as the same person. 😉
I want to see the Charmings as a family unit.

When the curse was broke and Henry woke up, did anyone else wish that someone would have gone over to Dr. Whale and tapped him on the shoulder and asked “Who are you?”

Thinking back on the pilot and first couple episodes, did you ever think we’d be this in love with a Rumplestiltskin ship! 😮 😆 More people are commenting about them than the Charmings. Hehe.

I think we’ll see Snow and Charming taking back the kingdom (but don’t they have two kingdoms to take over?).
I don’t think anyone is going to return to FTL and I think they’ll retain their Storybrooke form…Rumple will still look like Gold, Archie won’t be a cricket, and the nuns won’t start sprouting wings. But I think Rumple, Regina, and the BF will all have magic. Maybe Emma, too, but I don’t think they’ll realize it.

When I rewatched that scene I couldn’t help thinking that “this man must be my uncle or an old family friend” was probably going through Belle’s mind when he hugged her. I know, horrible thought 😆 , even though I’m a huge Rumbelle shipper.

I have so many thoughts about the finale running through my head, I don’t know where to begin. It’s like it’s just glazed over and nothing will come out. It could also be the sinus infection-triggered migraine I’m coming down off of or the medication.
What I can say is Regina better watch out, because Rumple with magic is more powerful than she will be. He’ll be bent on revenge.
All magic comes with a price. This is going to come back and bite Rumple on the rumpus.

Loved the reunion. Much more Rumbelle goodness than I ever thought I’d see, however, it did feel rushed to me. But the whole episode was “wham, bam, thank you Ma’am”.
Do I think they’ll get their happy ending? No way in heaven, hell, or fairytale land. They’re going to have one big rocky road of discomfort coming up. But I do think she’s going to serve a purpose, if they don’t kill her off, of anchoring him. Rumple is psycho, he needs some grip on something and maybe she’ll be the little conscious helping him make decisions.
