The fans who will actually tell Adam, Eddy and the other writers “how dare you do so and so”, while the writers respond back with “it makes for a better story” or any other excuse to defend what they wrote.

But does it, does it really make for a better story? *looks at the ratings* Just sayin’. 😉 😈

I think in that promo the picture of him in the hospital bed might be a flashback to when he was kicked out of town, in the real world. Maybe he had some kind of evil epiphany during a close call?

Rumple has always played things close to the vest, but in season one they gave us clues and then Desperate Souls. We knew pretty early his motivations. It helped us fall in love with his story and struggle. But now, we get a breadcrumb and that’s it. Are they trying to get him to be the ultimate villain, kill our love of the character, so we will cheer his demise and think it’s great for the show?

What they don’t realize is that it’s Bobby’s acting itself that made many of us love the show. The writing is cheesy, the plot is farcical and yet Bobby is such a great actor that we cared about this outlandish imp. His story is intertwined into the fabric of Once so completely, much like Bae, that his absence will be glaring. The thing is, if they’d have stayed with their original story of him dying as a sacrifice to save everyone like in 3a, more people would have bought it. It was an organic outcome of him going from a point of seeing his grandson as his downfall to help saving him and in turn saving the town.

But then when did anything the writers decide make sense. They had a beautiful story in Rumbelle and 1) never gave them any screen time 2) tortured Belle in some way or fashion every step of the way and 3) completely decimated it. I also wonder if that was an order from highers up….a much older man and younger woman might not have tested well in “focus groups” when presented outside the context of the show. Who knows.

And now I’ll shut up from rambling.

Could magic be leaving Storybrooke somehow? Slipping away? Rumple brought it to the town with his magic potion but maybe that is wearing off…hmmmm…..

Okay, because it’s so odd, that speech, I went back and transcribed it from my recording. This is exactly what he said to Sleeping Belle.

My love…I need to tell you this while it still matters. My magic comes at a cost as you know. And I have racked up so much debt I can never be clear of it…unless I find a way to change the rules. But now… [his hand on his heart] here’s the hard truth. Something else is changing. So, if I’m gonna change the rules, I’m gonna have to do so quickly. [kisses Belle’s hand] I will come back for you if…if I can.

I have no idea. But it’s a glaring sign that Bobby Carlyle is off the show at the end of the season.

And he was clutching his chest. Add in the scene from the next episode in the hospital bed it seems Rumple is not long for our world

Very adorable, RG. Your blanket set match my pants. (Same yarn company 😛 )

So I had to frog part of one leg back and then I set the pants down for a few days, worked on my sweater a bit and now back to the pre-frogging place on the pants. I hope today to get them all evened up and then work on finishing them.

My MO for knitting is get gung-ho on the first third of the project, work steadily but a bit slower on the second third, and them peter out on the last third. I don’t know why but I guess I see the finish line and know it’s there but it seems so far ahead and I just want to cast on something else. A serious case of “startitis”. Or it could be my “crafting ADD” coming out. I do need to have multiple projects going or I’d just go insane.

I slept till noon today. Well, I woke up at 6am then rolled over and went back to sleep. My internal clock is completely out of wack and I think I had a fever when I went to bed so it all adds up to a wonky sleep pattern. Now I’m just all out of sorts.

Once tonight. *sigh* Oh, the days when I was excited about the show being on. I couldn’t watch it without you guys and this thread.

That is really interesting Cinders. And further proof that fans come up with better ideas than the writers.

The new Brothers Grimm pilot looks interesting. I do love my fairytales. And the best part–Mirimax who is producing it is no longer owned by Disney so maybe we’ll actually get the darker, authentic tales and not the Disneyfied stuff they’ve been pushing at us on Once. I will keep an open mind about it.

New one – Raphael Alejandro has been cast as a series regular in ‘Nerd Herd’. Not sure if I should be happy that the kid is moving forward and getting a bigger role in his career or be upset that if it’s picked up, we’ll likely lose the cuteness that is Roland. They’ll likely recast him :(

Or Roland will just fade into the background as the newest kid that needs a babysitter and is never seen.

“Where is Roland?” “Granny is watching him.”

“Where is Roland?” “Belle is watching him.”

“There’s a new curse coming, where is Roland?” “Don’t worry! The new baby sitter, Peasant #45672, has him!”

That’s just Soap Opera 101. I’m shocked Henry hasn’t gone “upstairs” for a few months or a season and come down 10 years older. A&E are using other soap opera tropes, why not the kid one.

Yep, Jafar is definitely making a reappearance. No way he’s not going to be the big bad for Season 5a. We would be shocked if he’s not on the finale this season.
