JosephineParticipant
Adam and Eddy just need to learn to shut their mouths. They make everything worse.
Awww, RG. He looks so handsome.
Jo just analyzed a random peanut butter taste test article from Yahoo….I’m slightly concerned for her sanity right now, LMAO
My response is an excerpt from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventure’s in Wonderland
“We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”
And I did pick up some peanut butter and had some for a snack. Jif…on wheat bread…no stinking pretzels or bananas.
I think I seriously need to go back to work 😛

JosephineParticipantInteresting article but as a peanut butter connoisseur I have serious problems with her testing and methodology:
1. She’s never heard of Peter Pan peanut butter? That was a red flag. Really, it’s one of the top brands in the nation and always right next to Skippy and Jif at any grocery store.
2. She had the participants choose between bananas, pretzels or a spoon. That isn’t controlling your variables. Things like texture, sweetness and saltiness aren’t accurately determinable.
3. Natural peanut butters were included with regular.
Overall she failed at using the scientific method for giving a result. Can you tell I’m trained as a teacher 😛 Or I just watch “America’s Test Kitchen” too much and am really into peanut butter.
Btw, Jif Creamy wins every time in my book. If I must I’ll eat Peter Pan, but Jif Creamy is my hands down favorite.

JosephineParticipantI was talking to RG last night about the movie “Stranger Than Fiction”. If anyone isn’t familiar with it, it’s with Will Farrell. He play’s a guy who suddenly hears narration in his head and after visiting a doctor he finds a literary specialist and they finally discover that his life is really a story written by this author who is known for killing off her characters. There is more to the movie but it got me thinking…..
What if the author isn’t some omnipotent being who is controlling these people’s lives like god, but just an ordinary writer, behind a plain wooden door in their apartment typing away twisted and mashed up stories of fairytales, not knowing what they are doing is bringing them to life. We have a stray page from the book of something that never happened, Robin and Regina kissing years ago at a much younger age, but it never occurred. A rough draft? The author decided to go back and change it? Add more angst to the plot?

JosephineParticipantI’m Zimbio poll-ed out. I really couldn’t care who won that thing. I admit to being an ardent Rumbelle voter in the past but I admit to a secret wish that all the Once couples had been eliminated in the first round. I voted for Shamy and then was out of there.
I need to go grocery shopping big time. I have the catastrophe of having no peanut butter in the house.
I think Heather is happy it’s Friday.

JosephineParticipantI would want GhostNeal to show up only if he can *poof* into a CS scene and yell, “WTH man, first my mother and now the mother of my child?!” Then before he *poofs* away, he says to Emma, “Did he tell you the story of how he sold me out to Pan?” Then *poof* he’s gone, and moments later, FuriousEmma exits the scene too. If they can arrange that, then bring on GhostNeal. Bonus if Emma’s regret then drives her to find a way to bring Neal back to life, and she ends up visiting the Underworld in their spin on that Greek myth about whatshisname and whoseherface, only this time the ending is different and Emma won’t look back at the last moment, which means Neal will be resurrected. (Before Emma starts walking, Neal would tell her to NOT try to get one last glance of him, because no matter if Hades keeps his end of the deal and frees him or not, Emma needs to get back to SB. “Don’t even think of looking back to me, you keep looking forward, to Henry.”) Then Emma wakes up in SB and goes running down Main St desperately screaming Neal’s name, and he’s also running and calling Emma’s name, then they run to each other and embrace. And it’s all the biggest PARRRALLLEL ever to Snowing when the Curse broke. And it’s also a beautiful accompaniment scene to how SF ran into each other in Manhattan. So, as much as I’d like MRJ to stay far away from this mess of a show, if they could cook up a storyline like that, I’d happily have him back.
Someone needs to fic this. *tries hard to resist plot bunnies*

JosephineParticipantI reckon the series finale would be called Swan Song.
“Swan Song” will be the title of the episode where Emma dies……and then is resurrected. She is the savior after all. 😛

March 11, 2015 at 5:18 pm in reply to: Is Robert Carlyle leaving the show after this season? #298244JosephineParticipantThere are set rumors floating about but ignoring them and just going storywise….
What is there left for Rumple? His curse broken? He’s cleaved from the dagger? While I might thing a human Rumple story line would be fantastic and interesting from a character study POV, the show is about action and twists and plot. They’re not going to dig into the psychological ramifications of giving up the DO curse.
So what is his potential future:
1) Remain DO and continue on his evil path: We’ve been there, done that. They made us love Rumple in Season one by it being this fight of a parent willing to go to any lengths for their child. It was fantastic and humanized this monster and all his motivations. Keeping him evil for evil’s sake isn’t true to his original character.
2) Happy ever after with Belle without the curse: While this is my preferred method of his story, it probably won’t happen. They’ve said before happy couples = boring tv. Although they are writers, they haven’t quite gotten the grasp of internal conflict vs. external conflict. And they’re not going to start now.
3) Die: Either a heroic death (yet again a rehash of 3a) or another method. He’s been living for centuries and his reason for living that long was to find his son. Which he did, and lost him. Even if they’d keep him and Belle together, he’s immortal. He will outlive her. That isn’t a romantic tale. It’s tragic.
So what direction will they go? Many of you know my ending to the season. I think it’s a combo of 2 and 3. His DO curse is going to be lifted with TLK from Belle and then he dies.
If Season five is the end, like many of us predict, they can afford to let Bobby go. They’re not as dependent on ratings for their final season, ad time has already been purchased, and they have a little more freedom with their story. They can kill him off, do their big Aladdin thing since it’s having it’s Diamond Release in October and maybe bring back Naveen Andrews (a big draw for some) for 5a and then conclude the series in 5b.
Of course we could all be wrong and Bobby is in it for the long haul.

JosephineParticipantSlurpeez, you keep a little flicker of hope alive in me. It’s very little.
It’s like I have the angel and devil on my shoulders and they’re whispering in my ear. One sounds like DSB and Slurpeez listing observations and hope and saying “Don’t give up” and the other one is RG saying “Nah, they’re all going to die.” I admit I lean toward them all dying in an inferno. 😆
As many of you know I’m an ardent Harry Potter fan. J. K. Rowling was a master at telling a story with mystery and foreshadowing and misleading without lying. Everything ties together even though there are 7 books she wrote over 10 years. The stories are tight. So I, and a lot of other fan geeks come to expect this from others. When you have a show like Once that relies on flashbacks, magic and prophesy then you have to have parameters to your world, you have to remember your story, and then stay faithful to your characters. Once does none of this so I have trouble taking the clues that are given to Hook’s downfall and thinking they will come to fruition. I want to, I really do. And a small part of me really hopes. So keep posting your theories, Slurpeez. I do love hearing them.
….and then I love hearing RG proclaim “Kill it with fire.” 😆
We have a system of checks and balances. It works for our group. 😉

JosephineParticipant“Tale as Old as Time” — We can get reference to the Author and stories and the conclusion of Rumbelle’s Beauty an the Beast story line before he dies at the end of the episode.
It’s better than my first choice — “Death of an Imp”

JosephineParticipantMaybe like we were talking about on the thread about Rumple’s happy ending, he really is going to die, and Will’s appearance on the mother show is a way to give Belle a happy ending without Rumple. Like I posted there, he dies/sacrifices himself/curse lifted from TLK. We get our B&tB ending, TLK lifting Rumple’s spell, he dies a hero and Belle is left to live on with another relationship with Will. Ana is just collateral damage they’re willing reap since Wonderland didn’t get high ratings.
I’m not happy about it but I could definitely see this as a possibility for why they’re going with this pairing.
