JosephineParticipant
That’s what I thought too. I mean, if Alice and Cyrus and their daughter are happy, then I don’t imagine she would need to return to Wonderland. I always felt that maybe that was her own head canon for how the story ended. Alice wrote her own fanfic basically.
Still bad writing because it’s implied that they visit each other in the future and remain friends.
1×13 “And They lived”
Alice: So, back to Wonderland, then.
Will: Yeah. Got a lot of fixing up to do. You’ll come visit?
Alice: Of course.
Cyrus: Definitely.
Ana: Hey. [ Ana comes out and chuckles ]
Alice: You’re both welcome here anytime.
Then later in the same scene:
Alice: So… this is goodbye, then.
Ana: How about “see you soon”?
Will: [says softly to Cyrus] I’ll see you later.
Alice: Will, wait. [Alice runs and hugs Will] I just want to thank you for everything. Hold on to your heart this time, all right?
Will: You hold on to yours.
Leading to viewers to believe, with the following scene of the White King and Queen ruling Wonderland that married and had their happily ever after. It doesn’t imply Alice never seeing her friends ever again.
It all boils down to bad storytelling, imo. Mystery is all well and good but when omissions and misdirections come off as lying to the audience then it goes back to the writing. I’ve made this comparison on the past, but as a teacher, if all my students fail it’s not the fault of the students. It’s my fault as an educator for not reaching my students.

JosephineParticipantNow I’m all for character development…it’s when I can’t even recognize who the character was that I have an issue with it. Someone else once said this, but I can’t help but agree….if Season 1 Emma were to ever meet Season 4 Emma…she’s be kicking her (beep) and taking names later.
That was me.
Darn you, RG. I’m looking at that pic of Emma giving the face and thinking of your “grilled cheese” comment and now that idea’s stuck in my head. Please, get it out!!!!!!!!!

JosephineParticipantWe’ll never see the Milah revelation to Emma. She probably already knows and it’s happened “off screen” just like everything else on this show.
I would bet money that the series finale is a CS wedding. A huge affair in Snowing’s castle with a big white poofy princess wedding gown and glowing faces all around. Henry will be Hook’s Best Man and Snow will be Emma’s Matron of Honor and Charming walks her down the aisle. I am 100% confident that this is the ending.
Believe me, nothing is breaking this couple up. They might separate for an episode because Emma is mad about something but they will get together in the end. They’ve made too many concessions and sacrifices to their original vision of the show to accommodate Hook. They’re going to see it through to the end if only to justify their latching on to this character and letting go of others.

JosephineParticipantWeird double post.

JosephineParticipantThat is worthy crack for a theory. 😛 And if the writers would do it then I would know for sure that they’re trying to sabotage their own show. But hey, they made Peter Pan Henry’s great grandfather so who knows what they’d pull on us.
I will say, though, that Rumple’s prophesy that he told Snowing was the baby Snow carried in her belly was the one to break the curse. There would have to be a lot of retconning/chess piece moving to make it happen.

JosephineParticipantWe didn’t have a door to our world in Season one because our world was a “Land without Magic” and the hat could only take you to magical worlds. Hence why Rumple couldn’t use the hat to come to find Bae.
2×05 The Doctor
Jefferson: (pulls a glass ball from his bag) I got what you wanted.
Rumplestiltskin: What about the slippers?
Jefferson: Oh. Couldn’t find ’em. Heard talk they’d already been moved to another land.
Rumplestiltskin: That’s what I needed to get to that other land.
Jefferson: Well, come with me in my hat. I’m sure we can work something out.
Rumplestiltskin: No, no. Your hat only transports between magical realms. I need to get to a land without magic.
Jefferson: Why would anyone want that?
Rumplestiltskin: My business.

JosephineParticipantIt is something I can’t say in family friendly forums. However, I did respond to that tweet when I rarely do that type of thing. I might have a bit of pent up rage.

JosephineParticipantOh, there are Scarlett Beauty shippers coming out of the woodwork. There will always be people out there who will ship something just because it’s there. But mainly, it just makes two very faithful shipping groups very mad.
They’re alienating their core audience. Rumbellers are largely Rumple fans and probably, if being completely honest, only staying with the show for Rumple. But they’re also faithful viewers. Scarlett Queen fans are people who sat through Wonderland to the end and probably also faithful to the mother show, even with all the crap going on.
This show relies too much on shock, plot twists and action. If I don’t care about the characters then why should I watch, no matter how shocking or action-packed the show is.

JosephineParticipantI just read the SnapChat review and laughed so hard. I’m glad I wasn’t drinking anything. I may not agree with everything she comments on but she is so hilarious and usually spot on in many cases. Her SnapChats are the highlight of the show being back.

JosephineParticipantIt’s possible that the majority of Wonderland (from the start to Cylice’s wedding took place during season 2) but the ending where Alice is talking to her child is the future so there is a period of time between the wedding and the ending that the writers could play with.
I may or may not have just brought up the finale to Wonderland again just to see if Will or Ana were wearing wedding rings at Alice’s wedding. The were not. So the got married after Alice.
*sigh* This is just a terrible plot line all around. You risk angering not just fans of one couple but two, one if which we were shown their “happily ever after.” Will and Ana went through so much so to even insert this into the story is cheap. Bad writing is bad writing.
I complain about the writing a lot, but after this show I don’t think I’ll get involved in anymore A&E productions. I’ve also made the same decision about Ryan Murphy.
