JosephineParticipant
I can now verify that Macy is not an axe murderer :p and also, apparently sometime in the 40s, The Hat was with the Carousel Of Progress family… which we are pretty sure screws up the timeline.
You are slowly eliminating suspects. 😛 Glad that we can all have meet ups. This show is crap anymore but it brought us together and formed strong friendships that extend into real life…as long as we’re not axe murderers .

JosephineParticipantAnother bit of advice is make sure your yarn is a different color than your hook or needles. Starting out that can be frustrating when they’re the same color.
Text, your tree is fabulous. It looks really great.
I’m just getting into sewing. I had to learn how decades ago in Middle School and I knew a little bit about it from my mom and gram, but I’m trying to improve my skills. I got a sewing machine last year for Christmas. I’ve been sewing craft projects like tote bags and purse organizers. Not interested just yet to get into clothing. I’ll stick to the crafty side for now.
On a happy note, I found my missing knitting needle. I was searching for batteries and it was just there. I don’t understand how it got lost from the pack or if it was the fifth one from the pack (I knit with four) but I have enough now to work on my glove once again.

JosephineParticipantYouTube is your best friend when crafting. My mom taught me to knit years ago but it wasn’t until after she passed on that I really got into it. She wasn’t there anymore to show me how to do something so I turned to YouTube. It helped me learn new stitches, follow patterns and understand new techniques. I know RG learned to crochet because of YouTube.
One thing beneficial about learning online is that being a southpaw I can learn from fellow lefties. If I would find someone to show me how to do stitches, they’d more than likely do it right-handed. But thanks to the internet, other lefties have posted videos to help and aid. Anything you want to do you can find it online.
I grew up with a mother who did everything craft related from crochet to quilting to leather crafting. She even had her own photography dark-room. So I’ve done a lot of stuff. I also as mentioned make dollhouses and miniatures. The benefit of knitting, though, is it’s portable. I take it to the laundromat (I always get someone come up to me talking and in awe as I’m knitting…little things amaze people) or to work, and I knit as I watch tv or even work on the computer since I can do a lot of work without even looking at it or set it down frequently in my lap and pick it back up . Then there are periods I don’t knit for a week or more. But there is always satisfaction when you’ve completed a project no matter what the craft.

JosephineParticipantPoor Rainbow. Reality shows have this pull that you can’t escape. I caught myself one time watching five hours of “Flav Of Love”. I have no idea why and I am forever damaged, but these reality shows somehow suck you in and then you feel ashamed and dirty afterward. The walk of shame is your finger trying to press the button to get the heck off that network.
Poor DSB. Although, it’s quite hilarious. Maybe you just attract CSers *remembering your story about the guy giving you dirty looks at KI for talking SF*. I hope you have lots of fun meeting up with Macy. We expect lots of fun stories.
Illness update: Coughing much less but my sinuses are bothering me again, which is how it started to begin with. I’m praying, taking my vitamins, and eating raw garlic in hopes of staving off further illness. I will crawl up into a ball and hibernate the rest of the winter if this double backs on me. My sister’s BIL had it and it lasted three weeks and a few rounds of antibiotics before it left him. I’m well in to week two and ready for it to end. But I am feeling better so I’m thinking positive thoughts. And going off shopping to give my germs away to someone else. Just spreading the love….or bronchitis. 😉

JosephineParticipantOkay, so I couldn’t resist. Blame me being a preschooler but Dr. Seuss is a go to for any and all subjects. Rumple is everyone else. Why not the Grinch, too. 😉
Reposting because the forum ate my previous post. It must dislike Dr. Seuss

JosephineParticipantGrimm tonight.
Also, the forums are acting a bit wonky. It’s happening for Felie, too. Posts are disappearing. Doing it in both IE and Chrome.

JosephineParticipantI couldn’t resist. Blame it on me being a preschool teacher. Dr. Seuss is never far from my brain.

JosephineParticipantI meant to do this when it was on page one and now it’s exploded. My ships are many. I might have an armada floating around. Most of them literary.
Ron/Hermione — Harry Potter
From the time she walked into their compartment and insulted him, it was a clue these two were destined for each other. The clincher for me was in CoS when Ron had to look at Hermione’s empty seat after she’d been petrified to work up the courage to ‘follow the spiders’, his greatest fear. I was sunk. My heart never wavered from there.Lupin/Tonks — Harry Potter
My crackship that went canon. I was told at the time it was impossible and ridiculed over it but I knew there was something when reading OotP. When Lupin gave his little speech in HBP to Tonks about being ‘too old, too poor’ I literally screamed, put the book down and may have said a few uncharacteristic swear words in excitement. I still haven’t gotten over their passing. Poor Teddy.Lizzy/Darcy — Pride and Prejudice
I admit I disliked Darcy on the first reading. Then I reread and fell head over heels. I tend to reread this book every year . Part of the reason I gave it a second shot was because I adored Bridget Jones’s Diary, a modern retelling of P&P (the movie doesn’t capture this but the book is fantastic at paralleling it). How can you not love a man who says the most romantic quote in the history of literature: I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun. *sigh*Anne/Frederick — Persuasion
Another Austen couple. I love that they’re older and their romance is different than the others. Both have some life experience and really shows the possibility of second chances.Anne/Gilbert — Anne of Green Gables
It took three books for them to finally get together, but I, and millions of other young adolescent girls, knew it was TRUE LOVE at first meeting. He called her ‘carrots’ and she lost her temper so bad she broke her slate over his head. The 80’s movie is a brilliant adaptation of the book and worth watching. Now on to tv. Which I don’t have many of at all.
Shamy — The Big Bang Theory
Like RG, I adore these two. Sheldon is …..just Sheldon. I can’t describe him any other way. He’s rude, he’s socially awkward, but sometimes the most romantic stuff spews out of his mouth.Kim/Ron — Kim Possible
My cartoon entry. I have a thing for red-headed Ron’s. I adore this cartoon and glad Disney Channel is showing it sometimes on “Throw Back Thursdays”. This couple just makes me smile. She’s the hero, he’s the sidekick but somehow it works.Various pairings — Friends
I started out as a die-hard Ross/Rachel fan and ended up by the end of the series liking Monica/Chandler more. The only paired I despised on this show was that brief fling of Joey/Rachel. Ick…just no. I was also glad they never put Phoebe and Joey together just to make it clean. They were great as friends but would never be as lovers.Monrosalee — Grimm
Monroe and Rosalie are the sweetest couple on tv. I adore those two. Two wesen, a blutbad and a fuchsbau, who married initially against family wishes. (They’ve since talked it out and it’s resolved….they talked Once show runners!) I can’t wait to see what their kids end up turning out as.I know I probably have more but those were the ones I could think of right now.

JosephineParticipantI’ll bite.
Bed: Rumple, of course. I hope I don’t have to explain myself on this one. Just….yeah. Yeah.
Wed: Toughie. Obvious choice is the steadfast and loyal Charming. Then there is my precious Neal. Oh, Neal. But as I picked his father for bedding that might be a little messy. So I’m going to go against the expected choices and pick Archie.
Behead: Hook. I really won’t go into why, but I have my many, many, many reasons.

JosephineParticipant–Ebola
–Tuberculosis
–Whooping Cough
–Pneumonia
–Bronchitis (what I think I actually have)I shall perish by the end of the week.
You forgot Legionella.
Yes, I forgot Legionella. I knew I was missing a disease in that list. I actually think I might be getting a little better. I slept last night with only one break for coughing and I don’t have the pains through my chest today. I’m still coughing like crazy, but I’m hoping it’s easing up a bit.
Are we doing percentages now? Hmmm…….let me think.
–Dylan reprising Bae in flashbacks 8%
–MRJ coming back in flashbacks as Neal 1%
–MRJ coming back from the dead .01%
–We never see Dylan or MRJ again 90.99%Keeper of Rumplestiltskin's and Neal's spears and war paint and crystal ball.
