Okay, so Puck is getting famous in our ‘Burgh. The Duquesne Incline retweeted my Puck tweet, including the horrid typo saying “moron sickness” instead of “motion sickness”. Gotta love autocorrect.

The #RogueBisonRoadTrip is completed. I’m home and the rest are headed to theirs. Puck explored Kennywood yesterday and today he road the incline and looked out over the city:
Then made a trip to Point State Park to learn about a little French and Indian War history and relax at the fountain:
I’ve passed him on and he’s now in the hands of DSB and on his way to the Ohio leg of his adventures. We’re slowly Americanizing him before we give him back to his Mama. 😛 I didn’t take really any Kennywood pics but DSB and Heather took loads and a lot have been posted. Had a lot of fun, sweat a lot (temps were 90 with high humidity), and rode almost everything. Even the swings that they made me go on, despite my fear, for “reasons”. 😛
Be on the look out. More “Puck Shots” will be forthcoming.

JosephineParticipantBut two souls who have been through heck and back, who have loved and lost and had a child, who keep finding each other because of fate but there is a hurt and angst to work through…that’s just good storytelling.
This song totally is SwanFire (because of course my ending is different than what the show will have and in my mind SF will live happily ever after):
We need more bison today
Someone asked for more bison? Here is Puck’s visit to Preschool in America. And expect a deluge of Puck pics after this weekend from his adventures on his US tour.

JosephineParticipantThank you. It fits in my purse and is currently in use. All I did was plunk my wallet down on a sheet of paper, trace around it and them whipped out my ruler and started cleaning up measurements. It brought back flashbacks of technical drawing we all had to take decades ago.
I made dollhouses and miniatures for years and measuring is constantly done there. If you’re off by a 1/16th of an inch it messes the scale all up. That helps me in knitting and sewing a lot. It also helps that I’m a very spacial/visual learner. Plus, I read a lot about how other people do similar projects.
So, I’m back to knitting and it’s frustrating me. I don’t like the border in the pattern for the Emma blanket so I might have to do another version. Off to Ravelry to see if others messed up the border, too.

JosephineParticipantDid some more sewing today when I should have been doing yard work or cleaning. I needed a purse organizer so I sat down and made one to fit my purse. No pattern, but I did sketch it out a bit and did the math beforehand.

JosephineParticipantI have no headcanon anymore. I’m going in a clean slate with no preconceived ideas.

JosephineParticipantGo to any mall in America and you’ll probably find it. The one I went to just had a few animals and some cupcakes and other foods. You can find them here too: Spent way too much time one night looking at the different Squishables.

JosephineParticipantLook who arrived at my doorstep today:
I’ve decided to go with Jo’s suggestion and name her Hettie. Hettie the hedgehog. I like that. Apparently she had good company on her way over here, because I found a tiny stowaway in the box named Nelson:
Yay for Hettie. Great name. (And also my great-grandmother’s name, too). She looks happy to be in her new home.
If someone wants a Squishable of their own, they sell them at Justice in the US if you don’t want to get them online. I admit to going in little girl’s clothing store to look at them, despite the fact that I’m not eight years old or a mother of one 😛

JosephineParticipantBlankets are much faster to crochet than knit. They’re also much warmer. What takes RG two weeks would take me two months…if I worked all the time on it.
I do see much more patterns for knitted clothing than crocheted, but crocheted lace can be beautiful. And some knitting patterns have crocheted accents to them so it’s not unusual for a knitter to also crochet.
I started a lace scarf. I shouldn’t have since I need to finish the blanket I’m doing, but I couldn’t resist.
