If you remember Prince of Thieves, like someone quoted earlier, Robin had no idea they were related, either, until Will told him. This is Once. Everyone is related somewhere. They could work it out.
I do like Will. He’s the best part of Wonderland and I’m so glad if it’s true he’s moving over.

I’m not giving up on the show but I’m not following spoilers or theorizing anymore. From most people I’ve talked to, it’s not the death that annoys people. It’s the plot and writing. Like Jenna said, their storylines need tightening and they need focus. Since the show has come back, heck since 3A, there have been red flags for me of things that make absolutely no sense at all. They have a story to tell, but there is static and it’s not coming through clearly to the audience. Whether that static is network execs, fandom or a combination we’ll never know, but the show has changed.
I have given up shows before. I watch for more reasons than shipping. And when I give up a show it’s for non-shipping reasons. When the storyline becomes so subpar or changes from what I fell in love with I do quit watching. I will be watching but skeptical about the rest of the season. However, this show is no longer my favorite and hasn’t been since the beginning of 3A.

Yes, they are categorizing everyone’s stages of grief over Neal in chat. I wasn’t going to comment but it’s callous, as someone who recently as a year ago went through this in real life I know people don’t grieve like that. The stages are okay, but it’s not progressive. You don’t get to acceptance and move on.
Really, the retconny flashbacks in 3×11 was a huge warning sign that canon and development is going out the window.
This is really why I’m primarily a reader. Unless it’s an ongoing series, a book doesn’t change midway through on account of fandom. So glad that is true.

Now that my sweater is done, I figured I’d go back and knit my other fingerless glove. This is my second pair. I can’t find my first pair I did a few years ago, but when I do I’ll post it. But until then, here is glove #1.
I’m trying to finish up on the half-done projects laying around the house. And the small stitches and yarn is a nice switch up from the bulky sweater.

I popped in right now and just glanced at chat….ugh. But tonight we must take it over. The Voice is on and I want to live chat it. We can drown out any else. I’m very good at ignoring Once talk and talking over others. 😀 I won’t let this show chase me away from our regular routine. Every Monday night we live chat The Voice. And remember Grimm comes back on Friday. I will be in there for that. Plus, we have the Wonderland finale. We can make it through.
From what I’ve gathered from what I’ve seen elsewhere, and I’ve avoided tumblr, is that people aren’t upset that Neal died. They are, don’t get me wrong. We’re devastated, but the real problem and anger lies with HOW it happened. The plotting was mind scratching, the writing was off and nothing made sense. Neal being called a villain? Being merged into his father for who knows how many months? Not getting to see Henry at all, even a glimpse of his son, before he’s gone? It just doesn’t make sense. The disgust has absolutely NOTHING to do with shipping. It’s an assassination of a character. But maybe that was the point. Tear him down so we’ll be all “Awww….” that someone else is there for Emma and Henry. Sorry, but it doesn’t work that way. I’d rather have her paired with the monkey. At least she was happy for eight months with him.
I see people having hope that there has to be a loophole or something that Neal will come back by season’s end. I can in a way see how this could happen, but it’s not going to. The silence, the way the show was handled, everything speaks to it being final. They’re just going in a different direction with the show. And where that is is mind boggling. I’m beginning to appreciate the greatness of Season 2 now. I had hopes for 3B after a lackluster 3A for me because everyone is back in Storybrooke, but it’s just lost that magic. I seriously want to know what happened in that writers room when they were plotting out each half of the season to seriously believe either half would be gripping and fascinating.
I’m beginning to think my niece was correct with her idea that the concept of the show would have made a much better movie or miniseries.

At this point I totally believe Zelena is Rumple’s daughter. I even expect it now. Let’s throw out canon and character development and plot. Woohoo.

It is odd. They’ve had Cora back for Wonderland, Graham back for flashbacks. Heck, they even had Eion back for August flashback and he supposedly left on bad circumstances. But this is so final. Not coming back for flashbacks or anything again.
I do wonder, but then it’s Adam’s and Eddy’s show, not MRJ’s. It looks more badly on them since MRJ just performs the lines given to him.
