I love you guys. I really do and I love SF.  To me, they will always be my second favorite behind Rumbelle.  It’s just so poetic that they got together, the reason for the curse and the savior, and had Henry.  But I think I’m on my last stage of mourning and I’ve just accepted finally that it’s MRJ that’s gone.  Actually, letting go has made me enjoy the show a little more, if you can understand that.  I think the writers just don’t enjoy writing for Neal.  (Actually, I think it’s the same for Belle, too, but that’s another thread and can of worms).  They think of him as how he impacts other characters…Rumple’s son, Henry’s father, Emma’s ex.  But not as an independent entity, not as Neal né Baelfire.  Not his own person with his own feelings and story.  The direction they’re taking the character with seems to give further evidence of this.  Yes, it could all be a red herring, but sometimes the simplest answer  is the correct one.  Lack of any kind of background episode just fuels the flame.

So I will continue to enjoy SwanFire in fandom, but I no longer expect it on the show.  I’m not even going to lament or complain about lack of Neal anymore and be happy any time he’s on the screen and look at all the pretties.  I hate to bring my fellow shipmates down.  I’m not abandoning ship.  I promise.  Even if I just have to celebrate it in fanon instead of canon.

I have a crack theory about Zelena’s parentage. Wanna hear it? 😛 We’ll you’re going to anyway….

Young peasant Cora catches the eye of Leopold and is set up as his mistress. She has a cushy life now that she’s not breaking her back at the mill. Leo isn’t willing to marry her, but she’s happy with the improvement in life. But (dun dun dunnnn) Leo meets Eva and falls instantly in love. He can’t pursue anything with her until he drops Cora, so he goes and gives Cora her walking papers. She’s forced to go back to her horrible life at the mill, but this time she has a babe in her belly. Leo, now unencumbered, is free to court Eva. Flash forward to Regina, post baby, delivering flour and Eva tripping her. Eva knows what went on and is gloating about her beau’s (they weren’t married yet) former mistress reduced in circumstances.

Flash forward years later and Cora exacts her revenge on Eva by having her killed. Then in a wicked twist of fate, she gets back at her former lover by manipulating events to make her daughter the new queen. Taking over the role that Eva previously held. Knowing Leo would know who she was, Cora slips him a forgetting potion (ala the one Regina used to forget) and the marriage goes forward.

And everyone is almost incestuously related. The End.

Told you it was crack. But it’d make a great fanfiction. 👿

I laugh because on tumblr someone uses the argument that Rumple isn’t Zelena’s father because she kind of molests (their word, not mine) him in the Canadian promo. I did get weird vibes by how she was treating him. Not in a loverly way, but it certainly wasn’t in a father/daughter way, either.

I just don’t want Rumple as the papa. His son was so important to him. I think it would be a character assassination if he knowingly corrupted one child in order to find another. It just doesn’t fit with Rumple, even as the dark one. My fear, though, is the train is off the tracks and canon means nothing anymore.

I’m with Phee. The Wizard conned his way around and had a quick affair with Cora and she got pregnant with Zelena. Cora sends the baby off to Oz and she by some twist of fate is raised by her real dad, whether she knew it was him or not.

I have a horrible feeling it’s going to be Rumple. If it is, then he couldn’t have known. He’s loyal to his family. He literally moved worlds to find one child. He wouldn’t do that at the expense of another. It will be retcon and we’ll hate it but I can see Adam and Eddy thinking it’s brilliant. Just no.

Oh, it is in Storybrooke, the hooded figure. You can see it reflected in Charming’s truck mirror.

But then at the end of the promo it looks like the figure is falling out of Rapunzel’s tower. I don’t know what the heck is going on.

I hope she didn’t cast any curse on it. Really, I can’t deal with another creepy baby. Grimm is enough for me for one season, thank you very much!

I would say yes, but they show Emma, Charming and the rest going into the root cellar and the cage is empty. If he was there then she’s moved him, too

Part of me is really thinking he’s a monkey now. That him and Belle spent the year looking for Rumple and came close, but Neal was taken. That poor man can never have a rest. Really, that whole ‘Stiltskin family is great at being imprisoned, controlled, sucked down portals, abandoned. No wonder Belle fits in so well them.

Okay, a group of us have been talking crafts lately and probably driving the other chatters bonkers in the process. 😛

We’ve been posting updates and pictures of our projects so I thought I’d do it here:

Hoping to get the other side done this weekend so I can block it and seam it. The pressure to give update photos in chat is actually driving me because I lose interest very easily and peer pressure is an incentive. I’m shamed into working on it 😛

Okay, I went back to October rewatched the scene where Amara informs Jafar about the three genies:

Amara: This book contains all the world’s wisdom about genies.

Jafar: Genies? That’s what you’ve refused to share with me all this time?

Amara: Well, I had to wait until you were ready and you are. Inside these pages is a spell that only the power of the three genies will allow us to cast. A spell so powerful that even I, with all my magic, could not attempt alone. But now that I have a partner…

Jafar: What kind of spell could be so difficult that it requires both of us?

Amara: One that if we succeed, will make us the most powerful sorcerers the world has ever known. We will be able to change the very laws of magic. And once we do that all we desire will be at our fingertips

Jafar: And you wish to share this with me? Your generosity–I don’t know how I could ever repay it

Amara: I have waited many, many years to find someone worthy of this Jafar. Just as you have waited years to seek your revenge, not only on your father who cast you out, but on all those who ever…. belittled you…or doubted you.

Jafar: No one has ever showed me such kindness

Amara: No one…has ever loved you like I do.

I think she scammed him because she wanted her sons back and their curse reversed and her she couldn’t do it alone.  She trained Jafar so I’m thinking she knew how to play him and now that Cyrus is freed, it will affect the final outcome.
