Well, they started a great story with SwanFire (you can take it all the way back to the pilot too because Emma does talk about Henry’s father to Regina so the character of Neal is NOT someone they randomly brought in…he’s someone they’ve thought about for a while) and I want to see them continue writing that instead of bowing down to media, network, or fan pressure. Stay true to your vision guys.
I remember in the DVD commentary of the pilot episode and other interviews that Eddy and Adam and JMo talked about knowing who Henry’s father was from the beginning. JMo was told from the start. It was one of the essential things she needed to know about her character. That’s telling that they had been planning Neal from the start and I hope it means that ultimately on a show about redemption, forgiveness and happy endings that Emma would eventually be reunited with her first love.

I love you guys. Outside of this thread I feel it’s lonely being a SF fan. I do admit that I’m scared of Adam and Eddy caving to fanservice, and the ABC monkeys, and not following their own story vision. It’s happened on other shows. The minute fans start running a show it ruins it. Just look at the train wreck Glee became after the first season. Except me. All my ideas are brilliant and I should be running the plot of this show. 😛

I loved A Tale of Two Cities. It’s a bit of a difficult book to read because it starts off with a number of unrelated stories that later become connected in a massive way. I would not really consider Rumple the Sidney Carton character, but that quote does fit.
Getting lose in Youtube, you come across songs you forgot existed. One of them, if you’ve listened to country music in the 90’s/00’s, is Diamond Rio’s “I Believe”. Part of the lyrics:

We all know he’s alive, but the Rumple/Rumbelle fandom as a whole needs some kind of spoiler as to the direction of his character or we’ll all be suffering some kind of anxiety disorder before March. I thought I was the only holdout on the not agreeing with Wicked Sisters. I just can’t get there, yet.
The Wicked Witch being Jefferson’s wife is interesting. We’ve speculated before that dark magic might have come between them and she turned. He had no problem working with Rumple, knowing what he was. But then fast forward a few years and he has Grace, no wife, and he’s retired from his “business”. One thing we’re certain of is there is more to the story of Jefferson and his wife. Sadly, we may never find it out on the show since Sebastian Stan is so busy. Part of me wishes they had recast the part so we’d finally know his story.

Splashy wedding is definitely Ariel/Eric. No way would they have any of their unmarried current and/or potential main couples tie the knot. But on the bright side if it’s the finale then Rumbelle will have to attend since Belle is friends with Ariel and seeing Rumple at a wedding, besides Cinderella’s, would be hilarious.

It’s hard for me to imagine that there are Once fans, or others, who have never seen the best Disney animated movie ever in the history of the company. Really? I think all of you that haven’t seen it should break down and give in. There is a reason it was nominated for Best Picture Oscar. It is simply brilliant and breathtaking and sweet and just the best Disney movie ever.

Okay, here’s my theory that some of you already know concerning the Wizard, who IMO is not Rumple:
My theory is that after Bae leaves Neverland he’s transported to Oz, where he meets the Wizard. The Wizard, as we all know, is from Kansas and a con man who has no magical abilities even though the people of Oz think otherwise. We also know that the Wizard eventually returns to his world via the Balloon that Dorothy misses. I’m thinking that while he’s in Oz, and it can be a short period and give us a chance to see an older Dylan or even just revealed in dialogue, that Bae learns con man ways from the Wizard. Then they return together in the balloon to our world and Bae takes up his survival thieving/con man ways and transforms into Neal Cassidy. Ta da!
Another nail in the Rumple=Wizard coffin is this bit of dialogue we’ve posted a few times from 2×05 “The Doctor”:
Jefferson: I got what you wanted.
(Jefferson hands Rumpelstiltskin a crystal ball.)
Rumpelstiltskin: What about the slippers?
Jefferson: Oh. Couldn’t find ‘em. Heard talk they’ve already been moved to another land.
Rumpelstiltskin: That’s what I needed to get to that other land.
Jefferson: Well, come with me in my hat. I’m sure we can work something out.
Rumpelstiltskin: No, no. Your hat only transports between magical realms. I need to get to a land without magic.
Jefferson: Why would anyone want that?
Rumpelstiltskin: My business.
Jefferson: You want the ball or not?
(He takes the crystal ball.)

That is a seriously cracky theory 😛 But then I was a staunch supporter of TeamBrothers (RIP TeamBrothers, you would have been great) so I can’t say anything.
