Oh my head is hurting.
So at first I thought it was definitely about Bae, but it can’t be. She asked him about his son, and that same conversation he sent her to town. When she came back she told him he owed her a story. They never got to talking about him again.
It could be a flashback to Rumple discussing his father. He did lose him, too, but he wasn’t dead.
As for all the AU stuff, it’s all crazy. So Neal would “think” he came back and was raised by Rumple. So Neal would be an adult then when Rumple met Belle…but why would he need her? Just the same, a deal? Would Neal go along with that? That was essentially a a slave deal to begin with, despite the True Love and her wrapping him around her fingers and him being a puppy dog.
But why would Neal be affected and not Hook? Neal was never affected by the original curse and both are from FTL…so if one is affected the other should be. And how heartbreaking would it be for Henry to talk to his dad and Neal have no idea who he is. At least Emma knew she gave him up, although the grandparents were in the same situation in season one. But Regina wouldn’t know, either, if she’s affected. Poor Henry no matter what happens.
Oh, this is just all so confusing and we have months to get into the crack.

No way are they going to use Wicked. Like RG said, they own O:G&P and the original source material is public domain so no way is ABC going to shell out the money for Wicked. Just not going to happen.
Copyright law is complicated. That’s why studios constantly sue each other over the littlest bit of infringement. Every law has an exception and that exception has an exception and then you get into international rights and it’s all horrible. I hated that part of Business Law in college many many moons ago.

HE’s theory sounds most plausible, but my beef is if the FTL people have their memories why would Neal, who we know is there based on his clothing and filming with others, go along with Hook going to our world alone. This isn’t shipping…it’s Henry. His son is in that other world. He’s been separated so many times I don’t think he’d sit by idly while Hook does this. Regina, either. I think Regina and Neal would be the first passengers on that ship to get Henry and Emma back.

Heather, that brings to mind an old episode of Friends where they’re discussing one of them leaving the group and that the most likely one would have been Phoebe. The argument was she wasn’t related to anyone and lived apart from the rest of the group…she just lifted right out. That reminds me of Hook. Seriously, he could be gone tomorrow and other than the “Triangle of Doom”, like you said, we’d never notice he was gone. Neal is connected to Henry and Rumple, Emma is the savior, Snowing and Rumbelle certainly aren’t going anywhere and Regina is destined for her future love affair with Robin Hood. That leaves Hook either alone or standing with Tink. I just don’t know plot-wise how he’d fit in.

Okay, so here is my theory about the Blue Fairy:
I think she’ll eventually be revived. She’s at least as old (more likely much older) than Rumple, she’s essentially “queen of the fairies” and know as the original power. I can’t see her being gone that easily. There is a reason that pixie dust was shown and her little speech about “believing”. I think we’ll eventually have our “I do believe in fairies” scene and Blue comes back. I don’t know that she’s in league with Peter, though
However, that little scenario doesn’t rule out that she’s Sneaky Fairy. She can have things happen to her and still have her own plan. I’m still standing by my theory that she’s always worked on the principal of the “greater good”. She does what she thinks is right and correct, even if it isn’t. Dictators and rulers have governed on the principal of looking out of the greater good throughout history. Blue has her set of mores and beliefs and she rules by them, even if she has to crack a few eggs and sacrifice a few people’s happiness to get there. That’s what makes her sneaky.
As for hating her, I’m of the Sneaky Fairy camp but I don’t hate her. On the contrary, I think would be fantastic for her to be the ultimate cause of everything. I despised the things Regina has done in the past but she’s a deliciously evil character and I love to hate her,but that doesn’t mean I want her off the show. I don’t want Blue off of it, either. We can root for certain people’s storyline to go a certain way but it isn’t necessarily hate. It makes the show interesting.
